Often compared to Katana, the Miami staple with a similar sushi conveyor belt structure, it doesn't fall short. With a more modern flare, and not as common extremely long lines, it is certainly worth a visit. Although having to get used to the idea of being on the look-out for which bites you will be picking out, the variety and offerings never dissapoint. The service is also great as anything that wasn't reaching our end of the belt we could ask for and would be made for us. If you're looking for a space that is almost identical to Katana in Normandy this it. I love the intimate atmosphere. Great for a date night. Neat place but pretty expensive... prices of the plates depends on the color of the plate. It could be anywhere from $4.50 to $11. It was a cool experience but i wish the plates were cheaper. I wasn't too happy about the freshness of the food they hand on the boats but at least you can order with a server. Servers were pretty nice but the just give you a 3 second figure it out instructions on how it works. You don't really know what you're getting since the physical menu they hand out doesn't really tell you what is inside if a roll. I have been to Sushi Lucy three times, and unfortunately, my experience has gotten worse each time. The restaurant itself is cozy and has a unique concept: sushi plates circulate on small boats around the counter, and you pick the plates you want as they pass by. You can also order items directly from the menu. During my most recent visit, my wife, a friend, and I sat at the counter. Our friend decided to order from the menu and requested a salad and a spicy tuna roll. The salad arrived about 15 minutes later, but the roll took a total of 35 minutes. We only received it after we complained and asked why it had not come out. The waitress did not seem concerned, did not apologize, and simply walked away. Eventually, we ended up canceling the tuna roll. The sushi selection is also very limited. The same 5-6 rolls seem to keep circulating over and over, making the experience feel repetitive and boring. It is disappointing to see the quality of service decline, especially when many restaurants now automatically add a 20% tip. Overall, you can likely find better sushi, better variety, and better service elsewhere without the frustration. read more

I ordered at 9pm. Got there at 9:15-9:20 Order name Alexis. I ordered food only because I was trying a too good to go bag. The too good to go bag was awful. Sushi was room temp. Tuna was DRY. The only thing edible was the avocado and rice. The additional order I placed was miso soup, JB tempura and a tuna poke. By the time I got home the tuna poke was warm. We live less than 10 min away. The miso soup is salty as hell. The JB tempura tastes like the oil it's fried in. When I called to complain, the lady stated oh you got a miso soup and JB tempura in the bag that's why tuna poke is warm, nothing is wrong with it. IF YOUR A SUSHI PLACE DEALING WITH RAW FOOD, WHY ARE YOU PUTTING WARM FOODS WITH RAW TOGETHER?! I tried to explain that to her and she wasn't getting it or being helpful so I hung up and decided a review was necessary. First and last time ordering from here. Finally got the time to come visit this Kaiten style sushi joint I had added to my never ending list. We don't have a lot of these around and the other one I know of, even though it'd be considered the OG, I'm not a fan of. This place is spotless in cleanliness and that's a bonus for me. Relatively new to the area I'd consider this a hidden gem for sure. This is kinda like the conveyor belt Kaiten style except is powered by a water stream that's pushing the boats around and it's also super relaxing to watch. I had several plates stack up after trying a few dishes, like the tuna tartare, rainbow roll, shrimp tartare, torched salmon nigiri and crunchy crab salad all washed down with a nice cold Kirin beer; then end with chocolate coconut mochi ice cream. The owner/manager was on site and took the time to explain how the system worked and a few of the dishes as well, so service is A1. He was very attentive and helpful at all times. Food was fresh, delicious and not overpriced like some people are complaining about. One beer, five dishes and a dessert for under $60 with 20% gratuity is not breaking the bank for a good meal in Miami considering you end up spending over $100 every time for similar places. Obviously, this is not an Omakase fine dining experience but it's priced adequately for its portions and quality. I've been to that other joint at the Beach and it's about the same in quality but old and kinda dirty. Yes this joint is newer but cleanliness has to do with the people who run the place and how they care to project themselves. Anyways, only minor issue I see with location, even though I didn't have any problems, would be the parking situation. I can see how finding parking in that small shopping center could turn into a inconvenience for people on a busy Friday or Saturday night. I didn't recall before when they closed down some of the three years ago before the pandemic or during the pandemic, how the place looked but it does look like it's renovated and has a little bit of a facelift. It's very cute very fusion very Japanese though. I don't know if you could call this conveyor belt, sushi, or sushi train because it's a little loop of a stream of water with his adorable little bamboo boats on it and income your sushi rolls your candy, your seaweed salads, and any other things that the pear back in the kitchen when you can't see them . Each plate is giving a different price. It's up there on the shelf above the door so that at the end of the evening, they go ahead and price out each of your plates and that's how it adds up. Before the pandemic, I used to come to this one and the one in Miami beach and price half the price of what the dishes now go for so it gets pricey, but what is it nowadays? We came on a Sunday night with my friend walkable distance from my apartment. We waited five minutes. The staff was very nice and we were seated immediately first in the row practically at the bar. I'm used to seeing every little boat filled with food but even though the restaurant was full there were no seats available there was also no food on the little sushi boats. This turns out to be a good thing because otherwise we were so hungry we probably would've just stuffed ourselves with everything coming out as it was every seven boats one little plate of food would come out. You do get charged based off of plate color so keep that in mind as we had to find that out on our own!
