I'm having the orange chicken she's having the vegetable shrimp with fried rice

Service is fantastic. Food is even better. It came out quick. The portions are huge. I have been here once before and now I'm hooked. Under $10 for a meal you can't beat the value in this economy.

The young waitress was pleasant. She seemed friendly and was prompt. The food I would rate maybe as 2 stars not that great. The friend rice lacked flavor and tasted like burnt oil as well as the chicken lo mein. The Philly roll wasn't great either the avocado was black in some spots and the rice was really stiff. There were menus in the bathroom so that was a big red flag as well. I hope they are wiped down before they are placed on the tables.

    Bento box - chicken

I went to Sushi Lin three times last week. The worst part? Inconsistent. On the first day, I got a soft shell crab roll, which was fantastic. Service was great. My father in law got an order of the orange chicken, which he said was so good that he went back a second time that week, too. My husband got a few different rolls, and I got the fried rice for my little one. All delicious, though one of the rolls was too spicy my husband said. His option but not an indication of the food quality. Overall, great experience. The second time, I went with a coworker during lunch, and we each got the bento boxes. The skewer was great, and the ginger salad dressing was just the right taste. I was not a fan of the teriyaki chicken or the spicy tuna roll. The chicken was overtone and hard. The third time, we got the chicken fried rice and an order of the szechuan chicken. The fried rice was delicious. The chicken was bland. No flavor but the spice. I give it 4 stars because the good food I had was good. I'd just like to see a bit more consistency. I plan to go back to try more rolls.

My son and I ate here for lunch the other week, and it was a nice experience. The server was friendly and the appetizer and sushi rolls were good. We had the crab rangoon for an appetizer and the Seattle Bay and Angry Lobster rolls. We will be back.

The menu seems a bit more fusion than traditional but a good balance of pushing boundaries without trying too hard. We made a reservation for lunch on a Sunday but were only one of three parties. The ambiance inside is cute and cozy and I'm sure the patio is nice during the cooler months. We ordered quite a bit but our favorites definitely were the pork belly appetizer, the hafu roll, and the neo-genesis roll. I'd love to come back and try their ramen.

Walked in, immediately greeted and sat at the bar, our request. The hostess also our cocktail and beer server. Hubby had a delicious clarified cocktail which was absolutely yummy but at $18 a pop for a good four drinks and it's gone cocktail, ok. I know they take time to make. I had a $10 Sapporo draft. We then ordered two pork Bao Buns, two sushi rolls, the Shiro Maki and the Tataki Maki. Both really good, really well rolled, not an abundance of rice either. I am obsessed with Ramen, I decided to order the house Ramen, the Obon, without the Bonito flakes because I'm not a fan. Looked good when it came, I just wasn't happy with it. It lacked something, umami, a well developed broth, who knows, I just know it wasn't what I normally like. It gave me heartburn from hell too. Overall, $150 later I left somewhat dissatisfied and disappointed. For a Sunday, at noon, four tables worth of patrons. Not loud, not super quiet, nice ambiance. I doubt that I'll go back, if we do, it will be for their $22 rolls of sushi.

The whole area is really fun--made up of shipping container shops--and has such a cool, laid-back vibe. It already set the tone before we even got our food. Coming from California, I definitely have high expectations when it comes to sushi, and this place honestly delivered. The fish tasted fresh, the rice was flavorful and well-balanced, and everything just came together really nicely. We also tried some ramen, which was surprisingly solid too. We grabbed our food and sat near the bar, and it made for a great, casual dinner experience. Between the food and the atmosphere, it's a really nice spot to check out, especially if you're visiting Tucson and want a good sushi fix.

This was not what we expected but the staff was friendly and 1/2 patrons at the food hall were eating sushi. The stalls have big energy today and lots of patrons are searching for a seat. Why not give them a chance? The menu is fairly varied for a small pop-up with traditional and deep fried sushi rolls. The female wait staff is handing out egg drop soup samples to everyone, ever those eating pizza and gyros. Looking around, these rolls are huge. We chose the Sonoran roll with shrimp tempora, spicy tuna, spicy crab topped with seared salmon and yuzu sauce. This roll was flavorful and spicy. Another roll was the Samurai with shrimp tempora, cream cheese, avacado wrapped in soy paper deep fried and covered with spicy crab / shrimp mix baked in a spicy aioli and eel sauce. This was our favorite roll with a pop in the tempora shrimp and an uncious taste coupled with a bite. Our third and final roll was the heart attack. Another spicy roll with shrimp tempora, avacado, cream cheese topped with jalepeno, spicy crab and chef sauce. Again, another good roll and a ton of food. This food mall is in an unassuming neighborhood with a smiling server who is hustling like crazy. The sushi was good, unique and tasty. It was a huge amount of food. Give this hard working staff and chance, she is enthusiastic and working hard. To the staff at Samurai Sombrero who are working hard and obviously, not a trained sushi chef.
