We just decided to give Sushi Lin a try. We are new to the area, and have not had any luck with oriental food down here in Sahuarita. We were going with take out tonight, so I didn't like our chances. But hey was I wrong. We ordered a bento box of appetizers which came with 5 different items. Surprisingly they were all really decent and all were consumed. We also got some Moo Goo Gai Pan with fried rice. We enjoyed all of that also. So this was a hit at our house!! We will be doing take out again from Sushi Lin. And that does not happen very often in Sahuarita!!! read more

The young waitress was pleasant. She seemed friendly and was prompt. The food I would rate maybe as 2 stars not that great. The friend rice lacked flavor and tasted like burnt oil as well as the chicken lo mein. The Philly roll wasn't great either the avocado was black in some spots and the rice was really stiff. There were menus in the bathroom so that was a big red flag as well. I hope they are wiped down before they are placed on the tables. read more

I went to Sushi Lin three times last week. The worst part? Inconsistent. On the first day, I got a soft shell crab roll, which was fantastic. Service was great. My father in law got an order of the orange chicken, which he said was so good that he went back a second time that week, too. My husband got a few different rolls, and I got the fried rice for my little one. All delicious, though one of the rolls was too spicy my husband said. His option but not an indication of the food quality. Overall, great experience. The second time, I went with a coworker during lunch, and we each got the bento boxes. The skewer was great, and the ginger salad dressing was just the right taste. I was not a fan of the teriyaki chicken or the spicy tuna roll. The chicken was overtone and hard. The third time, we got the chicken fried rice and an order of the szechuan chicken. The fried rice was delicious. The chicken was bland. No flavor but the spice. I give it 4 stars because the good food I had was good. I'd just like to see a bit more consistency. I plan to go back to try more rolls. read more

I'm not a sushi fan, but I was told they had Japanese style food, also. I ordered their sesame chicken for pick up. It was absolutely the worst Asian food I've ever tried to eat. The breaded chicken chunks were saturated with sweet sauce with sesames simply dumped over the top. The entire dish was soggy and so disgusting I had to throw it away. It was a tiny restaurant and they had Fox playing on a huge television behind the counter. In this age of heightened partisanship, that's not a good marketing plan. read more

I'm sorry I have to change my review while I liked the food it's insanely expensive they charge $3 for each slice of fish for example I ordered sashimi yellowtail and I ordered sashimi salmon and it came to $12 and I got four slices of fish. this is kind of insane considering you could buy an assorted sashimi platter for $10.95 when I ask them to justify the pricing they were kind of clueless on this and didn't really have an answer but told me the next time I come back I should just order differently. Great local spot for a variety of dishes. The food is always tasty and fresh. I haven't tried the sushi from here but the chicken lo mein, sweet and sour pour, Kung pao chicken and pad Thai are great! Awesome variety of soups and appetizers is also great. I can count on a great meal any time I place an order and will be a return customer. This place gets crazy busy on weekends and during the week around dinner time so please be patient with them, so worth it! read more

I might try and go back for a different item but I wasn't impressed with the spicy Mongolian beef, way too many onions, or the hot and sour soup. I had all you can eat sushi buffet. I had so many sushis I know my stomach will hate me so much afterwards! Haha! I'm thrilled there's finally sushi restaurant in Green Valley! The nearest sushi restaurant to Green Valley is 20-25 mins drive to Tucson. I finally can get my sushi fix 5 mins away! I think their sushis needs a bit more oomph to sushis. Other than that the sushis is good enough to meet my sushi fix. It does get pricy which is why I order sushi buffet to get as many sushi as I can eat. Wouldn't let my wife and I set in a booth because there was not 4 of us. So, we were seated at a table and watched a couple seated in the booth. Oh well... not a major deal. Just picked up a takeout order from Sushi Lin. I placed the order online several hours in advance and requested a 5 PM pickup time. Picked up the order exactly at 5 PM and brought it home (a 5 minute drive). Imagine my surprise to find that most of the order was cold. The fried rice was completely cold, the shrimp Lo Mein was cold and the beef egg fu young was barely warm. The egg roll, spring roll and tempura shrimp were all cold and in the egg roll case it was also a soggy cold inedible mess. Inconsistent. When it is good - it is quite good. I was quite happy with my previous order a few months back. HOWEVER, last night was not a good night for my take out order: I should have taken pictures, but didn't - so let me describe last night's problems: Pros: 1) It was on time. 2) It was filling. Cons: 1) Way too much rice. The rolls were fat with rice and the slices were so thick I could barely fit them into my mouth. I could barely taste the filling in each roll since the rice overwhelmed it. 2) 3 rolls - 18 pieces were JAMMED into a 8" by 5" container. No room for wasabi or ginger which were instead placed in little containers separately. No room to put chopsticks in to take pieces out. A poor presentation which led to each roll's slices being mashed into a neighboring roll's slices. 3) Eel roll is listed as with avocado OR cucumber. I ordered avocado and got cucumber. A disappointment. 4) Salmon skin roll - UGH! The salmon skin was NOT crispy like I have come to expect from reputable sushi places. There was actually a bit of salmon left on the skin and it was not crispy in the least. 5) The shrimp tempura roll was crispy as I expected. Again, the rice overwhelmed the filling. Maybe I am being overly harsh - but it seemed to me that the tempura tasted like the oil was used a bit too long. I don't know if they were having an "off day" or if there are multiple sushi chefs each with widely different levels of competence. Regardless, last night's meal means that the next time I want sushi I will probably insist on going to Sachiko near the airport which I have found to be consistently good. read more

We ordered takeout several times from this restaurant and the food has been decent for Green Valley standards; however, the last time we ordered it was very disappointing. We ordered four plates chicken including house low main that contained hardly any meat. They might as well have been vegetarian dishes for the amount of meat they contained. The Mongolian chicken should be called Mongolian Onions because it was made up of mostly onions with very little chicken. I don't know if we'll be going back again. read more

Cannot say enough good things about SushiLin. Since Covid I've been relying on take out. I keep coming back to SushiLin. They're open late and their place is clean, and their food is great.
