Was in the area and was in the mood for sushi. Came across this place on google so decided to try it out since they had a lunch special. Upon entering I noticed it was very dark and had 1 light on. So they ave a 2 roll lunch special for $11 or 3 rolls for 13.73. I ordered the 2 rolls, a spicy tuna roll and eel Avocado roll. Let me say it was the worst spicy tuna roll I have ever had ! The eel Avocado roll was pretty good though! After eating the 2 rolls I was still a little hungry and decided on getting another eel avocado roll. After I was finished I got the check and noticed I got billed separately for the 2nd eel Avocado roll which was $7. So the lady told me it's because I ordered separate and she couldn't give me the 3 roll lunch special price. She literally could of told me that before I ordered but she knew was she was doing! And on top of that I got charged for spicy Mayo! Place was empty and I was the only customer there so I guess it made sense. I didn't care about the overall price because with tip it would of came out to the same amount. However that experience was awful. We came here for sushi and did not leave disappointed. We enjoyed a selection of spicy salmon, salmon skin, crab, salmon avocado, shrimp tempura and eel-all which had a nice amount of seafood so the rice wasn't overpowering. Seriously, I've had sushi from grocery stores that was better quality than whatever it was I received when I ordered delivery. The Crab Rangoon was sickeningly sweet. Definitely not worth the price. Kani salad was decent, but completely covered with "crunch". I had a Mexican roll (which is supposed to be spicy) and a Crazy Tuna Roll (not sure if that was the name, but it had black pepper tuna and avocado on top). Upon opening the lid to my order, it was a strong fish smell. I didn't think much of it and started with the Mexican roll. It was ok, but not spicy at all. Something seemed off with the rice...like it was too mushy or wet. The entire roll had the same soft texture, not even the cucumber was crunchy. The special roll was absolute garbage. It had the same soft texture throughout and the spicy tuna on the inside tasted off. I ate 1/8 of the special roll which was almost $15. The California rolls that were ordered for someone else were not good either. I wish I had checked Yelp before ordering from this place, but my typical place is closed on Tuesdays. 2-hour update: Food poisoning...eat here at your own risk. read more

One of my favorite restaurants, period! The fried rice is light and perfect, not greasy like most other places make theirs. Same with the sesame chicken--light and perfect, none of that thick, goopy stuff. I ordered 2 rolls-- peanut avocado and spicy tuna. The rice for both was incredibly overcooked- the mushy texture was really unpleasant, it felt like eating a gummy paste. On top of it, the tuna was very fishy and the avocado peanut was completely flavorless. My two positives: It was delivered in less time than Grubhub estimated. The egg roll I got was pretty tasty (especially for an all-veggie one, I would've preferred a pork egg roll, but the menu didn't specify) and very crispy even after delivery. This place saved me when I was starving during a modeling event (they decided not to feed us). So I decided to get a couple of sushi rolls: the Godzilla and the Spicy Girl rolls. The sushi is amazing here! I love the miso soup and the green tea ice cream. The staff is so friendly and warm and they make you feel so at home. It's a family business and I am happy that the family is always there together. It only adds to the overall wonderful experience. I felt so comfortable and happy here, enjoying a tasty meal. There was no wait for the food or to be seated. Everything was hot and fresh. If you need that family, down-to-earth feel, then this is definitely the place to go to get away from the all-business, withdrawn types of restaurants. And again, the food is to die for! I ordered two lunch specials to my work just now. I have to say, possibly the worst hibachi lunches I have ever had. The hibachi chicken tasted like tofu, or a very plastic feeling in the mouth. The sushi is always delicious and fresh. They offer an all-you-can-eat sushi deal which is particularly helpful to those who could go bankrupt eating the stuff. The family that owns the restaurant is always attentive and polite. I recently discovered they offered a Thai portion to the menu. The pineapple fried rice (I order with shrimp) is literally the best I have ever had. Addictive! And this is coming from someone who refuses to eat rice outside the context of a sushi roll. Two stars because the girl was really nice. They're a little expensive for what you're getting. I thought the kani salad had no flavor and the sushi wasn't as cold as it should be and didn't taste amazing either. My fiancé had the beef and broccoli and usually he's happy with anything he eats, he's not picky at all, but he didn't like it. the beef kinda looked a little funky and there really wasn't much meat compared to the broccoli. The quality of the fish is ok, and it is a generous portion of fish but it accompanied by an even more generous portion of rice. The deal requires you eat all your rice so it it has hard to go more than a couple of rounds with the sushi chef before the rice will fill you up.
