This place is small but do not let that stop you from going. The sushi is fresh & delicious. We ordered the Avocado Bomb & it did not disappoint. I could have ordered another serving. We also ordered the Alaskan Roll & the Hawaiian Roll, both were very good. You place your order at your table on a self-serve kiosk/pad so if you want more, you just select, submit & the food is brought to your table. The wait staff is friendly & helpful w/questions. This place is easy one of my new favorites.

I got the salmon torched roll along with the takoyaki and both had good flavors. Our server did a phenomenal job and was attentive to us from explaining how to order things off the tablet to taking empty dishes out of our way promptly. Our food also came out fairly quickly after placing our orders. The establishment is fairly small so we did have to wait a bit of time before being seated; however, it does have a cozy and nice interior.

Sushi Gio is a tiny, cozy sushi spot in with just a few tables, so it feels pretty homey. You order from a screen at your table, which is easy but also a little confusing. They'd let us know that whatever is not on the screen from the menu is not available for order. The scallop and salmon belly were the stars. They sear the salmon belly lightly so it's not chewy, and it just melts in your mouth. Prices were really fair for the quality, so I left feeling happy and full without breaking the bank.

This place was excellent. Normally we go to Suzushii my daughter wants ramen and I want sushi. We decided to try somewhere new this time and it was really good. She loved the ramen and the sushi she tried. I loved the two rolls we ordered. And the Takoyaki was really delicious. Service was great and he checked in with us to make sure we were okay. The inside is really cute. It is not a big restaurant. 4-6 tables and the bar seating around the sushi bar, so it has a nice quaint feel to it. Definitely somewhere we will come back to

this is my go to sushi restaurant around arlington/mansfield. i've been visiting for a couple of years now and service has always been amazing, the inside is very cute and quant but small so not a lot of seating. the food is great they probably have the best sushi in this area of town. i've tried most of their special rolls and a lot of them are ok but my go tos are the salmon torched roll and the crawfish dynamite. they are soo yummy. and we also get the firecrackers too super good.

This is an intimate venue with about 4 seats at the sushi bar and 4 booths in the dining area. The fish was fresh and well portioned with great presentation. I ordered the sashimi bowl (this was chirashi and I'll fight anyone that says it isn't) and was pleasantly surprised with the little Korean banchan of the miyeok julgi bokkeum in my bowl. The fish portions were generous and it also included miso soup. My girlfriend ordered the eel bowl that consisted of healthy portions of unagi, rice, and eomuk bokkeum banchan, and a bowl of miso soup. The service was quick and very hospitable. Kudos to the person running the tables, register, and phones. We'll definitely be back.

Small restaurant with limited seating. Decor inside is homey and the atmosphere is very cozy and lowkey. My friend and I ordered miso soup and a bunch of sushi and it was all amazing. The Rainbow Roll is interesting and each sushi piece is unique. If you order enough sushi, they serve it in a giant boat! Unfortunately, I live very far from Mansfield so I don't know when I'll be back but if you happen to be in the area, you should definitely check this place out!

This sushi place is definitely top rank hiddenin the middle of DFW metroplex. Interior is quite small but ambiance is there giving comfortable vibes. Service and food are amazing, fresh, clean, and comforting. Highly recommend, this place will not disappoint!

A hidden gem in Mansfield! Not a very big place itself, there are a few booth and a few table. Came here on a Saturday night and didn't have a wait for a table. Got so much nigiri and everything was so good! They're generous with their slices of fish. The salmon belly was my favorite, it literally melted in my mouth.

Fantastic value! Chunks of the good stuff were proportional to the enveloping rice, for a fair price. Regular rolls average $8, specialty rolls around $13; all fresh and hearty. The space is tiny, with a comfortable capacity of 20 customers or less, in addition to the friendly workers. Lenten Friday marked our first visit to Sushi Gio, but we'll be adding it to our regular restaurant rotation.

Omg this was such a great sushi place! Service was A+ awesome. The fish is phenomenally fresh. Yellowtail sashimi melted in your mouth. All the sushi we had was very good. (And we eat a lot of sushi so we are fairly picky.) We also had the soft shell crab and the shrimp/veg tempura as an app and both were super crispy, light and not at all greasy. Place is small but super welcoming and very clean. We will definitely be back!! read more

The moment you walk through the door you're slapped across the face with a warm and cozy feeling. Now don't get me wrong, this is mainly due to the establishment being on the smaller side but best believe the pack a very large punch! Cleanliness and service was outstanding. Now I'm not a huge sushi snob but I've had my fair share throughout the years and without question this is the best Sushi I've had since moving here from Southern California. I found this hidden gem probably about 2 months ago, and have been going once or twice a week since. LOL. It is a small space, so I don't recommend large parties, but it seems like they do a lot of take out. Every single time I visited, the food and service is always consistent. The chef and server are both very friendly. Make sure to try their seared salmon belly and uni. Don't forget to ask for their specials!! read more

Wow! Their food is amazing and fresh! It's a local, family run business. It's intimate inside with 3 booths that seat 4 on one wall, 7 seats at the sushi bar and a higher table that seats 3 but the front door. The entire place is extremely clean! The one server is friendly, attentive and as fast as he can be given he's the only one. He was apologetic for the wait which was only about 15 mins for our appetizer then another 15 mins for our main course but it didn't seem long at all. Average price for a sushi but the quality is outstanding! read more

This food is art. Statements like "it's the best sushi around" do not do the place and it's people justice. It is like trying to explain to your child that you love them but cannot find the words that properly carry the weight of your emotions. If you like sushi, and you are local, you should already be a patron. "High quality and consistency" are the elements I was told they focus on. Gio is a small shop ran by three people; I think a family but it's none of my gd business. What is my business is the food they have prepared for me and I am here to tell you it is consistently high quality. The texture and flavor of the fish has been glass-shattering for me. What I mean is that Gio is so good that they have ruined other restaurants for me, becoming my benchmark for what sushi should be. I cannot say enough good things about this place! I've only been twice, but both times have been phenomenal. The pricing is honestly very fair, especially considering the economy these days. The ambiance is so peaceful and relaxing. The service is friendly, attentive, and polite. Their rolls are hands down my favorite sushi rolls around. I wish I lived closer so that I could go more often. I 100% recommend this place and will visit as often as I can (and as much as my wallet will allow). read more

A nice intimate sushi spot! Seating is limited, very small space. Service is good and servers were attentive. We got the crispy shrimp appetizer which was delicious, a favorite of mine. Loved the cream cheese as you bite into it. Loved the Las Vegas roll, very good. Baked salmon and spicy shrimp was ok. Overall, highly recommend and would make this a regular sushi spot. read more

Good local spot for sushi! Sushi was yummy and sashimi was fresh. I enjoyed everything but the tempura crab. The tempura crust was so so and crab itself tasted bitter and mushy. They have a few limited tables to seat parties of four and less. Service was slow but forgivable since the server was multitasking. read more

Finally got the chance to try this place and everything was amazing. I'm very picky on sashimi, miso soup and the dressing for the salad but it was delicious ! All the cuts of sashimi was amazing also ! They don't have alot of seating area but we wouldn't mind doing to go if we have to since we don't live to far. All the sushi tasted SO fresh. We got the soft shell crab and cucumber salad to start and those were JUST the beginning to the adventure. For rolls we tried fire, tango, holy moly and panic! The holy moly definitely had some heat but the flavor was there over anything. The fire was my favorite with so much flavor and then a little heat at the end. I got the boat with a lot of Sushimi and loved it !!! 10/10 recommend I will only be eating sushi from here A lot more The avocado bomb appetizer was the best !!!! Highly recommend for some really good sushi! The inside is very small - 4 tables and about 8 bar seats so you may have to wait or just do takeout. The food is very good and fresh! We had the three rolls pictured and the spicy edamame. The service was great as well - the one waiter was working the whole place and was busting his ass to make sure everyone was taken care of. Oh my goodness. I went in expecting maybe a decent sushi roll from a place so small and plain. Boy was I wrong. I literally ate one of the best sushi rolls I have ever had. This place is a gem. I pray the quality stays the same because if it does my son and I will be back every week. read more

This the 4th sushi place I have tried since moving from Ft Lauderdale. Not sure why but sushi here is average to below average. Specific to Sushi Gio, lack of taste and the the spicy rolls were anything but spicy. I ordered 5 rolls - Spyder, California, spicy tuna, salmon avocado, and rainbow roll for delivery. All average to below average on taste. The fish was not very fatty which I am sure was why it was bland. Top that off only got one small dollop of Wasabi, dime size, for 5 rolls.....what the h...? I guess I will keep looking for anything remotely as good as I was use too...which wasn't super special. read more
