Have been here several times before has always been fairly good. NOT TONIGHT !!!! Almost all of the sushi out looked old and dry, several of the rolls were not even there we asked for a couple to be put out 15 minutes later nothing. Got fed up and left. $24 left hungry Service was terrible. Employees decided the best idea was to argue with me to defend not having sushi out trying to tell me that later in the evening they don't put as much out. I have a several go-to places for sushi. Especially in different parts of town. I was really hoping this might be a new spot in rotation, especially when I heard there was a conveyor belt set up here! My boyfriend and I came for dinner and the place wasn't very busy, but it they place was ransacked. Almost every booth and seating needed to be bussed. We managed to find a couple seats up at the conveyor belt. We selected most of our sushi from the belt, but also ordered a few things from the menu. The system is set up pretty easy to understand, I think it was by the amount of pieces on the plate. Overall the sushi options on the conveyor belt were okay, a lot of them had a similar flavor profile. I also ordered a salmon nigiri, but was gravely disappointed. The salmon didn't look that great. I went ahead and had a piece and immediately regretted it. The salmon was stringy and it didn't want break apart. I didn't have another bite or the second piece. The building was bright and clean a little chilly and the wait staff was friendly and helpful. I was skeptical at first on how fresh the sushi was going to be going around the conveyor belt but it was very good. I did notice the fish on the rolls were cut at an angle and didn't cover the whole piece which I feel for 3.50 for 2 pieces of sushi I should get some sushi. I was so hopeful for this place. The conveyor belt is the only "cool" thing. It helped me pretend was back living in Asia. The warm and fuzzies end here. The wasabi is a watered down terrible green disgusting mess with zero flavor. I tried multiple types of dishes. Would not recommend. The only ones with any decent flavor on it were the ones with jalapeno slices on top. But the tuna dishes were gross, and the salmon was a no bueno. I can't give it a second attempt. There's too many decent sushi restaurants in town that actually put effort into the food, rather than the flashy display. The sushi was not good quality and did not taste good. The worst part was the conveyor belt, we were sitting for over an hour and the same sushi was rotating on an unrefrigerated belt. When I heard there was conveyor belt sushi in town I had to give it a try. Note that they are really new but show a lot of promise. It's like countertop seating around the restaurant with the conveyor belt moving in front of you. The conveyor belt traverses the entire restaurant so it may take quite a while for something new to get to you. My other experience with places like this had multiple smaller conveyors, or just conveyors around the sushi bar. So expect that you might have some wait between items if you're waiting for something particular. The wait staff was great, asked if we wanted miso soup, checked on us frequently but didn't try to move us through. Most of the items on the menu came around on the conveyor and we were told that if we wanted to order a particular roll we could (we didn't) or if we wanted something placed on the conveyor we could ask for that also. The fancier rolls came as two piece items, and the less fancy ones came as four piece - all the plates are the same price, so that's how they adjust for that. There were a lot of spicy fish rolls and not so much fresh fish, that seems to be somewhat true of the menu in general. That made it a bit hard to judge how fresh the items were. All in all it was a decent experience - I call it low commitment sushi since you get the opportunity to try a variety of things. For some reason my girlfriend likes this place, but the sushi is very mediocre. Today she asked to pick a takeout order from here and I was hungry so I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen. What they sold me does not resemble Ramen. It's a bowl with 1 inch of bland broth in 3 inches deep of noodles with 2 slices of dried out pork, 2 fish cake slices, and 2 regular hard-boiled eggs (not ajitsuke tamago). There's no garlic, no seaweed, and no seasoning that I could detect whatsoever. I had skipped breakfast and lunch and was very hungry so tried to wolf some down, but even so I couldn't do it. This garbage Ramen went into the trash after a few bites. Don't get this Ramen ever. It's just gross. Really not even as good as the cheapest ramen you get at the grocery store. read more

I'm going to guess that anyone who really loves this place doesn't actually love sushi. This restaurant exists for the experience. It's like the Chuck E Cheese of Sushi - and I bet it would be a great way to get kids to eat sushi too. All of the different types taste exactly the same, and I didn't see the staff marking exactly how long anything was on the belt, which felt concerning from a health perspective. We went right when they opened, so we waited a bit and watched them put everything out fresh. I'm not sure I would have felt comfortable otherwise. The way people are seated really makes/breaks your experience, as those closest to the kitchen are always going to pick up anything that remotely tastes different. The food is alas was average in taste but the fish was fresh, with the miso soup good and veggie tempura just ok. They did not have iced tea as their machine was not working yet. So far the pattern is rolls are green plates and nigiri are red plates. It was a little salty for some of the rolls. The rolls were also very small for what the price per plate was at $3 when I went.
