The food is delicious. The waiter forgot to order the dish he recommended but accidents happen . Food 3.5 stars. Service was warm and friendly but forgetful; the seafood stew did not have the squid that was on the menu photo.

Incredible dinner. Somehow we made a reservation for 11 people, weren't sure they could accommodate that, but they did! Food was really solid. Best wings I've ever had, we had both the spicy and garlic ones. Shishitos were delicious and got to introduce them to some of our friends who has never had them before. They were out of the beef bulgogi so I got the kimchi fried rice and it was also amazing. Fiancé ordered the spicy chicken dish with cheese, he loved it. No complaints at all. Staff was great, loved that they left a water pitcher at our table and love that they took a photo for us! Will be back again!

Food and service was smashing! The place was quiet and clean. My favorite was definitely the crispy rice appetizer and the beef bulgogi. Large portions- had to take most of it home. Definitely recommend!

I have been seeing all sorts of posts about this place and was influenced to finally try this out! First off, I totally appreciate how we have more diverse Asian cuisine spots coming out that is not all Vietnamese or Chinese. This place hosts some Korean, Japanese and Chinese dishes all in one place! I ordered the buldak spicy chicken dish which is fairly flavorful, but what the menu says was in it was not what I ordered.. the menu says that it comes with chicken thigh, rice cake, and potato. However what I got was the chicken thigh, a SIDE of white rice (totally not rice cake), and no potatoes. I got a large portion of chicken thigh and a small portion of white rice. It was not was what I ordered but I hate confrontation and let it be, and thought maybe I ordered something else. I would like if staff made it a point to let me know? Also the cheese was extra $1-2 and it advertised as mozzarella. If you see my added photo... As for the katsudon, it was good but truly not anything over the top. But still tasty! For someone who has had a lot of Asian cuisine this place boasts some unique dishes that are hard to find in ABQ but it is just okay overall, not super good but also NOT bad. I would give the service 2/5, we have waited a while for our food (it was busy) but they have you serve your own water from a dispenser ??? Prices made are not matching level of service. If I do come back, I would try something different :)

    Crispy rice with spicy salmon

Everything was delicious. The Korean fried chicken is super crunchy. The crispy rice was the best I've had in town. We ordered the KFC 50/50 in each flavor, miso soup, yellowtail and scallion roll, crispy rice with spicy salmon, and the tangsuyuk. The roll was cut into 4 pieces so they were each a bit large for a bite but the ratio of fish to rice was perfect. Service was friendly and helped with recommendations. Interior is clean and laid back. Highly recommend and will be coming back.

I go back again and again to explore the Korean palate. The boss, May, is an angel. Sherrill loves what she does and you can taste it. The staff are great too. Today I will have fried chicken wings, and spicy cucumber salad (so fresh) and some Udon beef soup. Slurp slurp! And always- Beef Bulgogi

Service was super nice and attentive. Food was delicious and came out quick. The chefs are from New York and opened up here in Albuquerque. Best Korean food I've had in Albuquerque, I'll be back

We were greeted promptly and enthusiastically, seated quickly and our server, John, started a meal with exceptional service. The offerings include Korean, Chinese, and Japanese items. While a wide variety, they hold to a very reasonable menu, a good sign. Based on existing reviews, we tried the Mandu dumplings and Korean fried chicken wings, garlic seasoning. None of us were impressed with the dumplings, but I suspect it is because none of us are wild about kimchi. The wings alone were worth the trip. Great crunch, outstanding seasoning and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended! I had the Niku udon. A wonderful and very filling soup. Great noodles and a deep rich broth. I'm not sure what the leafy greens were, but they held up well and really enhanced the flavor. The other order was a rice bowl, I think with ribeye. It disappeared so quickly, I didn't see, and I didn't think of photos of the entrees until late in the meal. The ambiance is a bit dingy, and seating in the back of the restaurant can result in being periodically blinded by the security camera randomly turning on a pair of extremely bright small spotlights. That combined with the smell of rancid grease and or sewage from the restroom area behind a curtain set a low bar. Since these folks recently purchased the restaurant, I'm hoping they resolve these issues. -1 star Barring the issues, I highly recommend a visit. This is a restaurant that should become a regular stop for those on the east side.

Tried out East Asia Kitchen last night and loved it! We started off with the spicy cucumber salad and crispy rice which were both delicious! Then we had the eel avocado roll, the tangsuyuk pork, fhe dumpling sampler (Korean Mandu, Japanese gyoza, and Chinese jiaozi), the Korean fried chicken in both garlic and sweet and spicy (the garlic was all of our favorite), and i believe the gyudon. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the workers were all extremely kind. I'm excited to see what they do with the restaurant for decorations or set up, it seems they are still pretty new after taking over the old Dragon Sushi building. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try more!

The cucumber kimchi ($3) looked a little different than traditional cucumber kimchi, but still tasty and spicy. Their cabbage and radish kimchi had a nice kick to as well, and I liked the extra ginger note. The 2 Korean tacos ($8.95) can be mix and match, so I got the Bulgogi beef and Spicy Pork. The presentation was lovely and they tasted good. There was a lot of meat and paired well with kimchi. In the future, I'll have a side rice. Or "is this our first time?" Was asked constantly to each new table so it's very easy to get into and start ordering. The music is great, the vibe is more built around groups than ones or twos but it still works. Overall I would definitely come here again as we had a great time! It takes a second to take in the side bar but once you understand it, it's extremely straight forward. Self serve everything and about a 3-5 minute wait on things that need to be restocked. Staff are constantly swarming around to help and deliver food or take plates so it does make it seem VERY lively. Just don't wear hot clothes or jackets, you're going to be warm from the stove tops and eating so much! We got the AYCE KBBQ Premium choice and 2 Asahi 21oz beers for a total of $94. The price is steep but again, it is AYCE so make it worth it, we sure did! Thank you I Grill!

The waitress came and shoved the bill to my face whilst I was eating and said I had to pay right now so they can close down. Mind you there were about 20 others in the restaurant. She insisted on us settling the bill right now right now, and got extremely rude, condescending and frankly speaking hostile. I wonder why we were the only table that got treated differently and perhaps unwanted there. If so they should had refused service from the get go. Maybe because we were the only non-white looking people? Who knows. I will never again come back to this horrendous place.

That's why Sakura Sushi & Grill stood out right away. They clearly label gluten-free options on the menu. They also offer gluten-free soy sauce, which is a huge win. Even better, they have lunch specials with gluten-free options, which is rare. It's located in Riverside Plaza in Albuquerque, just past the river on the west side. I ordered the Sushi Lunch A with premium fish and chose the double salmon roll. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the portions were great for the price. The miso soup that comes with lunch isn't gluten-free, but they brought me a side salad with an amazing gluten-free dressing instead. I felt confident eating here, which is not something I say often. I didn't have any reaction afterward and would absolutely eat here again. One of the coolest surprises: they make their own wasabi in-house. It's not on the menu, but if you ask, they'll bring it out, and it is absolutely worth it. We considered getting a sushi boat, but the lunch specials were a better value for lunch. If we went for dinner, we would absolutely order a boat. I also had hot sake, which paired perfectly with the meal. At the end, they even brought us a sweet cinnamon tea for my friend's birthday, even though we didn't order dessert. Service was warm and attentive the entire time. My friend has a shellfish allergy, and the server made sure her plate only included fin fish, which we really appreciated. We went around 1:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, and it was quiet with only a few other tables. The atmosphere felt calm and relaxed, with a casual, comfortable vibe that made it easy to sit and actually enjoy a conversation without feeling rushed. They close at 3 and reopen for dinner, so it's a great low-key lunch spot if you time it right. My friend also mentioned she brings her young kids here often, and the woman manager or owner is especially kind and welcoming to them. I enjoyed this place so much that I called my husband on the way home to tell him all about it. We're already planning to go back with our kids, which will make this my second visit in one week. If you're gluten-free, this place is a gem. And even if you're not, the quality, service, and overall experience make it absolutely worth a visit.
