We got takeout from here this past Christmas. We've tried a few Chinese spots the last few years for Christmas Day takeout and its always been pretty meh - but the food we got here was incredible. I realize this is more fusion than it is straight up Chinese but either way its delicious. Can't wait to go back sooner than later. I'm still thinking about the Kimchi Fried Rice. read more

The seafood pancake here is quite good, on par with what you'd get in seoul. My experience with other dishes is positive, but not quite on that level. The sundubu jigae (soft tofu stew) was very good, but the red pepper powder was not quite fully dissolved. I also found the ungidon to be quite sweet. I still enjoyed both dishes, which are rather hard to come by in town, and will be back. read more

Incredible dinner. Somehow we made a reservation for 11 people, weren't sure they could accommodate that, but they did! Food was really solid. Best wings I've ever had, we had both the spicy and garlic ones. Shishitos were delicious and got to introduce them to some of our friends who has never had them before. They were out of the beef bulgogi so I got the kimchi fried rice and it was also amazing. Fiancé ordered the spicy chicken dish with cheese, he loved it. No complaints at all. Came here for the second time recently and it was just as delicious as the first time!! I tried the dumplings with chili oil sauce, the chicken friend rice, and cucumber salad! Everything was amazing!! Oh and how could I forget, the kimchi is amazing, it's the best!!!!!!! It's came in a 'small' container with a lid to take home whatever you don't finish, and I had a good amount left, I added it to a few meals throughout the week. The service was great!! I have been seeing all sorts of posts about this place and was influenced to finally try this out! First off, I totally appreciate how we have more diverse Asian cuisine spots coming out that is not all Vietnamese or Chinese. This place hosts some Korean, Japanese and Chinese dishes all in one place! I ordered the buldak spicy chicken dish which is fairly flavorful, but what the menu says was in it was not what I ordered.. the menu says that it comes with chicken thigh, rice cake, and potato. However what I got was the chicken thigh, a SIDE of white rice (totally not rice cake), and no potatoes. I got a large portion of chicken thigh and a small portion of white rice. It was not was what I ordered but I hate confrontation and let it be, and thought maybe I ordered something else. I would like if staff made it a point to let me know? Also the cheese was extra $1-2 and it advertised as mozzarella. If you see my added photo... As for the katsudon, it was good but truly not anything over the top. But still tasty! For someone who has had a lot of Asian cuisine this place boasts some unique dishes that are hard to find in ABQ but it is just okay overall, not super good but also NOT bad. I would give the service 2/5, we have waited a while for our food (it was busy) but they have you serve your own water from a dispenser ??? Prices made are not matching level of service. Everything was delicious. The Korean fried chicken is super crunchy. The crispy rice was the best I've had in town. We ordered the KFC 50/50 in each flavor, miso soup, yellowtail and scallion roll, crispy rice with spicy salmon, and the tangsuyuk. The roll was cut into 4 pieces so they were each a bit large for a bite but the ratio of fish to rice was perfect. Service was friendly and helped with recommendations. We were greeted promptly and enthusiastically, seated quickly and our server, John, started a meal with exceptional service. The offerings include Korean, Chinese, and Japanese items. While a wide variety, they hold to a very reasonable menu, a good sign. Based on existing reviews, we tried the Mandu dumplings and Korean fried chicken wings, garlic seasoning. None of us were impressed with the dumplings, but I suspect it is because none of us are wild about kimchi. The wings alone were worth the trip. Great crunch, outstanding seasoning and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended! I had the Niku udon. A wonderful and very filling soup. Great noodles and a deep rich broth. I'm not sure what the leafy greens were, but they held up well and really enhanced the flavor. The other order was a rice bowl, I think with ribeye. It disappeared so quickly, I didn't see, and I didn't think of photos of the entrees until late in the meal. The ambiance is a bit dingy, and seating in the back of the restaurant can result in being periodically blinded by the security camera randomly turning on a pair of extremely bright small spotlights. That combined with the smell of rancid grease and or sewage from the restroom area behind a curtain set a low bar. Since these folks recently purchased the restaurant, I'm hoping they resolve these issues. -1 star Barring the issues, I highly recommend a visit. There was no apology for the mishap or attempt to offer any type of solution, like takeout. If you're saying the link does work, then it looks like he was lying straight to our faces. This speaks volumes to the type of person you're putting at the front to speak on behalf of your new business. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Don't make a reservation through their Yelp link because it apparently doesn't work (which is what they should be putting on their website or anywhere people see when they search up this restaurant) and the white guy manager with tattoos was extremely rude when telling us. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming even though I was just picking up our to-go order. We ordered a large sampling of the menu and the clear standout was the Soy Garlic Wings with pickled radish. The wings had a lot of meat on them, the batter was crispy and well-seasoned, and the sauce was divine. I'm not typically a wing eater, but I stole one from my husband and am secretly wishing I'd ordered them for myself. The rest of the food suffered a bit due to the steam of transit. The breading on the Ginger Scallion Shrimp had devolved into a paste, but the flavors had depth and the shrimp and vegetables were cooked well, so I'll definitely give it another try when we dine in. Sadly, not only had the breading on the Chicken Karaage gone soft, but it had no flavor and the spicy mayo was not provided. There were a few other near misses, but everything tasted fresh and I'm guessing that dining there would solve several of our issues. We'll be giving them another shot soon. read more

Tried out East Asia Kitchen last night and loved it! We started off with the spicy cucumber salad and crispy rice which were both delicious! Then we had the eel avocado roll, the tangsuyuk pork, fhe dumpling sampler (Korean Mandu, Japanese gyoza, and Chinese jiaozi), the Korean fried chicken in both garlic and sweet and spicy (the garlic was all of our favorite), and i believe the gyudon. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the workers were all extremely kind. I'm excited to see what they do with the restaurant for decorations or set up, it seems they are still pretty new after taking over the old Dragon Sushi building. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try more! read more

That was cute and quite good. We were actually planning on visiting the other restraint at this address, but we went into the East Asian, area, where we got some wontons in chile oil. Chicken Karaage, Mandu dumpliongs,and some sushi. Our waiter was great, and was able to answer most of our questions(some were hard because both the place and he was new and there have been some menu changes. . the Karaage and the sushi rolls were both delicious. the chile wontons were pretty good. and the mandu dumplings were great! we definitely will be back. read more

Decided to check out this new place in town and to be honest I was a little disappointed after seeing the Tik tok and reviews about it. Our Philadelphia roll was not good. The salmon seemed old/dried out and a not so good flavor at all. It was kinda like a salmon jerky...We had to just take out the salmon...just so the roll didn't go to waste. I The chicken chow mein was a tiny bit salty, but they had the is very good black bean chile paste on the table that help balance out the dish. The pork wonton however was good. Their service also was not good. There was no staff at the front so we had to wait a little before we got seated. Maybe they were short staffed, but after we got seated a young woman took our order, but then an older woman came and tried to take our order again. Then when our dishes came out there was a big miscommunication. Our noodles were put in a to-go container they keep bringing food up to our table that we didn't order and we overheard the table next to us getting their orders mixed up as well. Vibes were okay..I wonder if it was the Chinese restaurant next door that just took down the wall after dragon sushi left and just expanded the space and renamed it. I'm usually wary about fusion restaurants but with mostly lack luster Asian restaurants in Abq we thought we'd give it a whirl. I had to rush to write a review because now that they are here I don't want them to leave! We ordered the Korean chicken wings on the recommendation of the waiter and I can honestly say it's the best I've had here in town. The pork belly with kim chi was amazing and being a kimchi fan got another side order and it was fresh and balanced flavors. All the wait staff were amazing and the owner came out to chat with us and made us a complimentary side of kimchi dumplings. She brings her restaurant know how and crew from New York. I had to try the new sushi place, but perhaps it needs a bit more time to get its feet under it. The wait staff seemed rushed and overwhelmed most of the time. It took a while to place our order, several items arrived very very late. Others never actually arrived even though we brought up that they were missing multiple times. Food was essentially dropped in front of us while just saying the table number and not what the item was. To top that off, we were brought an item we didn't order instead of one we did and couldn't fix that either. Scattered mess would be a fair description of what was going on. The food itself was ok, but given that we didn't even get some of the items we had wanted to try, it was a bit difficult to judge. I hope they get their act together. Oh, and this place has taken the space of both Fei's and Dragon Sushi, so Fei's is officially gone even though several things think it still exists. They have a decent sized space to work with, so hopefully they get things together. I'll wait a bit before going back to give it another try. read more

First time visiting this restaurant. The staff was super helpful and courteous. My wife and I had the two specials the Bibimbap and the other that started with Jay (Sweet Potato Noddles). The food was very good with the exception that my egg on my Bibimbap was over cooked and they only served me one egg when it was supposed to be two. Recommend! read more
