I think the owner / chef works the sushi line, as he was directing his choir of cooks. Once seated, the wait for our food was way too long, especially given the number of people rolling on the line. I think we waited an hour. Overall food quality was quite good, and we ordered a second round. Biggest issue for us, as first timers, is that the 3 of us all had stomach issues the next day. The sushi here is unexpectedly delicious and fresh, and it's likely the best in Spokane. The menu is extensive, and most of the rolls are delicious. The miso soup is priced reasonably (1.50) and is some of the best I've ever had. The lunch bento boxes are a STEAL and includes plenty of food. My absolute favorite roll is the Cherry Blossom (get the wasabi sauce on the side) and the Cougar. It is priced on the higher side compared to most sushi places in Spokane but it is higher quality sashimi and the portions are substantial. I have yet to try any of the noodle dishes but I suspect that they would be average. Sushi is what you need to order here. Seating is never an issue as the place is huge, and the servers are very friendly. Ambience is great for date night. I am not deducting a star for this but it is unfortunate that a lot of their rolls have cream cheese in them and they straight up drench the sushi in sauce, but it is Spokane after all. In addition to good food, the staff is also very responsive and thoughtful. Take out orders are always neatly packed, and the restaurant goes to great lengths to respect social distancing rules to keep everyone safe. Will definitely stop by when I visit Spokane again. I tried the seafood udon on the first day, and it hit the spot! Savory in flavor, but wasn't overpowering so it was soothing and easy on the stomach. Chicken teriyaki dinner on day two was delicious as well (and the portion is super generous). The teriyaki sauce wasn't too salty, so that's a huge plus. Today I ordered hwedupbap and a side of pan-seared gyozas. OK, this review has been a long time coming - at least since fall of 2018 when we started going there. This is my first 5 star rating in Spokane as I've not really found any place that fits my definition of a 5 star place: Somewhere that every time you eat there, you are curious to try something new, but, everything new you try is amazing. And, of course great service. So, of course sushi.com has great sushi, that's a given! But, what we did not expect, is that they have, hands down, the BEST ramen in Spokane! I mean, it's no frills and you can't buy any add on toppings like in dedicated ramen places, but, the flavor of the ramen itself is really on point, better than Nudo and King of Ramen, in my opinion. Another notable item... the tempura avocado boats are simply one of the best dishes in all of Spokane. OMG, so, so good!!! Lately, we've been getting the Albacore Salad as well. It's really very wonderful, but, keep in mind the portion is not very large. Finally (and I know this is odd, but, bear with me), the kids meals are actually really great! So it has been years since I have been here just because we moved to Western WA but recently moved home. We love sushi and are pretty particular on fresh quality food. Although more choices in Spokane since 2010 this place is still a very good place to go. My personal favorites are hand roles and sashimi... Had both and very good. Service was 5/5 with quick seating, super friendly waitress, etc. The food was 5/5 as well with delicious sushi and flavorful yakisoba. I also really enjoyed my Miso (and at $1.50 it is a perfect companion to the fall weather we are having right now). The atmosphere is very calming and I took note of lots of folks having a sushi oasis in the middle of a workday. The teriyaki chicken was extremely dry and many pieces were grissly. It had hardly any sauce or flavor. The spicy chicken was also dry and mushy and wasn't spicy at all. The sashimi was much better than I expected, and they give pretty large pieces too. It tasted fresh and fatty and just how I like it. The bento box was a lot of food for a good price, with some type of pickled cucumbers and salad on the side. In my quest to find Spokane's most legit sushi spot I decided to try sushi.com What was ordered: The nigiri was fresh I ordered the salmon belly (they were out of o-toro), and most notably the sushi rice was both firm and flavorful, which makes a huge difference for the sushi experience. Although the menu still has a plethora of amerikajin sushi (aka deep fried and covered in mayo/unagi sauce) if that is your taste. The Katsu donbori, was slightly sweeter than I am accustomed to and had a few 'non traditional' ingredients, but overall had a great flavor and again great rice. It is really hard to express my adoration for a place that serves quality rice with the correct firmness and texture. The Takoyaki which is a MUST for any nipponophile or adventurer in the world of Japanese cuisine. The takoyaki exterior was crisp with a soft inside (similar to a batter) and had a great flavor. It would be remiss of me not to point out areas for definite improvement of this dish, the presentation lacked refinement, the mayonnaise which is coupled katsu sauce is a crucial part of not only the overall flavor of the dish but of it's presentation; and in this case it looked as if someone had applied it with their eyes closed. Their ramen is in my experience, the best in this area, it may not be a contender with places like Arashi Ramen in Seattle but it is second to none here. The broth is hot and flavorful, the noodles are firm, and the chashu is pretty damn decent too. Final impression: Overall I'd have to say this is my top pick in the Spokane area, they're consistent and still serve quality dishes. We all really enjoyed our meals and the prices are not bad at all! For 3 people at dinner was $40 before tip. Average sushi place, great front of house, interior includes large tables for bigger parties seated with comfort. Sushi itself, I thought was pretty standard, does the job however nothing special. Sushi.com is located on the edge of downtown, walkable from every close by venue. The exterior may be slightly overwhelming almost hidden in the background of a busy downtown however once inside you were greeted by wonderful front of house, attentive staff, and greeted with a warm welcoming vibe. Interior Decour is minimal, yet inviting with large tables for a bigger parties and ample room to move around. The space inside of the restaurant is not separated by different dining areas however just a large dining hall with Clearview to sushi bar. As for the food itself, I had a Nigiri Chef special, overall it did the job however a bit lacking in each area. Quality of fish did not impress, was not as fresh as it could be however still provided decent texture, taste, experience. The area I thought was most lacking what's rice, it had poor mouth feel compared to other sushi quality rice, with each grain feeling dry and under seasoned. Extra effort for taste I felt was not performed, no seasoning or wasabi was added to the Nigiri. Overall this is a decent place for large parties, and an OK spot to grab sushi downtown. I thought this place really did shine through large ample seating room and fantastic front of house. I will definitely be coming back, however not because the food was super enticing. read more

It was kind of dark but it was a well appointed space. The seating is low so you can't see the chefs doing their magic but that is ok. I ordered the cougar roll and the dragon roll. Here are descriptions of both: *7. Cougar Roll (8pcs) --------15.95 Inside: salmon, cucumber, avocado, smelt roe Top: tuna, salmon, yellowtail, snapper 11. Dragon Roll (8pcs)----11.50 Inside: 2pcs shrimp tempura, cucumber Top: eel, avocado with unagi sauce Both were very big and both were delicious. Fresh fish and great flavor. My total for the two rolls was $27 but I was full and satisfied. So a little spendy but to me well worth the price. They do have sashimi options but since the cougar roll had much of the fish offered in the sashimi combo I just went with that. The service was terrific - the server asked if I had questions and answered them all. My water glass was always full and when I was done I was out the door fairly quickly. For the past two years, I have frequented Sushi.com on average once a week but sometimes more. It is by far the freshest sushi in Spokane. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the service is always impeccable and quick. There are so many things I love to order at sushi.com. My favorite sushi roll is the Bins Roll but it is easily followed by the simple Washington roll. The sushi is always fresh and delicious with an artistic presentation as well as amazing flavors. The sushi chefs are quick, charming and fun to watch. For non sushi eaters, the donburi bowls are incredibly popular, large and very delicious! The staff here really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and tend to your needs. They learned my name and my order after only three visits. This is the 2nd time we've been here and it is just wonderful! We brought our family of 6 here for a Sunday lunch, and the waitress was amazing with our kids! We had the gyoza and the shumai, seaweed salad. So so yummy! One son had Chicken Teriyaki noodles, one had the Philly roll and the Spokane roll, one daughter had Beef Teriyaki, and one had a rice bowl. My husband had the Miso Ramen, and I had the Dream Roll and the Philly roll. Everything was simply beautiful and delicious! Mediocre quality. Coming from the west coast side of Seattle, I had high expectations for seafood. The sashimi wasn't fresh and the fish to rice ratio was poor. It's understandable that the fish will not be as fresh but the amount given is not worth the price. I ordered the chirashi from the menu and there were only a few slices of fish and lots of rice that had no vinegar flavor. Every single time I am here I think, "Yep, this is definitely the best sushi in town." The ingredients taste fresh (definitely important for sushi!) and the staff is always so welcoming. Sitting at the sushi bar and watching their chefs make the sushi is incredibly impressive. Plus, free entertainment. I've tried so many of their sushi rolls and if you want the large list narrowed down to two options, order the San Jose and the Red Dragon. The San Jose is a fried roll that is very rich and delicious, and then Dragon cuts the richness of the San Jose by being a fresher and lighter taste. Paired together, they balance each other out perfectly. Their miso soup is also very good here. I know, you're thinking, "Miso soup? How can it be special? There's not much too it," but I've had some pretty bland miso soups and this one is perfectly salty. I will warn you that the prices of the rolls are a little spendier than other sushi places in town (about $15 for the better rolls) but so worth it! read more

The chicken was a bit bland, lacking much flavor except from the sauce they added on top. The tempura is a small serving, only once piece or shrimp and 3 tempura vegetables. My friend got the spicy chicken as one of her sides and they was actually delicious and not too spicy. The salad it comes with is bland and not that appetizing... Not a very appetizing salad dressing unfortunately. The bento comes with a huge portion of rice and a few pieces of pickled cucumbers. All in all, it was a bit disappointing and a bit underwhelming.
