This place is sooooooooooooooo small. The sushi is good but the environment sucks. If you're looking to have a private conversation, please go somewhere else. You're literally bumping elbows with the other customers. read more

I enjoyed this location. Once again my fellow yelpers didn't let me down! I enjoyed a huge amount of edameme which is a favorite of mine. I really enjoyed the fresh & unique taste of the playboy roll & my always safe go to Philly roll. . Nothing like a good dose of cream cheese, but this place is delicioso & I'll be for sure to try some of the other rolls listed on the menu! I ! 1 of Gump towns few good places! read more

Omg. The food is soooo good. I had steak bulgogi. It was outstanding. I don't like how close you sit to other people but the food is worth the closeness. read more

Great bento box. Got take out, which is good because the dining room is TINY. I also ordered sushi but found it unimpressive. I was now impressed by the quality of the bento and will be back for lunch take out again read more

Sushi Cafe - No idea what roll this was but all the rolls I tried were delicious! - Japanese Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

For Montgomery, this is probably the best sushi in town. I've tried some other places and Sushi Cafe is the most consistent in being fresh. Great place for a business lunch. Try to avoid the rush because this place is quaint. read more

New to town so I use Yelp to help me find places to eat when I don't feel like cooking. I've been looking for good sushi places to try and I saw this restaurant had good reviews. I really enjoyed my sushi and the service was fast and pleasant. Sushi wasn't pricy, which is always a perk. read more

We enjoyed it! The miso soup was the perfect salt level. Zelda roll was a great surprise. I would order that one again. Service was great too. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, we went with our coworkers to have dinner, they rushed us to sit down, told us to order so quick because their kitchen is closing we asked if they wanted us to leave since they are closing , they said no it was fine after ordering the food came so fast. Then asked us to help move the dishes from the table so she could bring mayo sauce LOL !!! After she brings us the check without us finishing, when we ask for dessert she says the kitchen is closed and nobody is here and we need to close the system, she dares to charge 18% tip LOL The worst service at all, food was not all that anyways. Waste of 200$ read more

Was here last night for my birthday. Their sushi is premium, and the prices are unexpectedly low, as most of the other sushi places have a much higher price point. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and were extremely pleasant. My mother got the teriyaki salmon dinner, as she is not a sushi-holic like I am, and the salmon portion size was tremendous, not over cooked, and the sauce was just delicious and not too overwhelming. She also got a large helping of the veggies and fried rice. We just couldn't get over how reasonable the prices were for the high quality of food they offer. We drove an hour and a half to get here, and will certainly do so again. read more

Sushi Cafe - Sashimi appetizer and cilantro roll. The cilantro roll could not have been any fresher. The dipping sauce was perfection. - Japanese Near Me - Montgomery, Alabama

It's great for sushi. Their raw menu is outstanding. If you are looking for bento boxes or a hot menu, this is not your place. The tables are very close together and you feel like you are dinning in the laps of the table next to you in some places in the restaurant but if you ask for a booth, you will have room to dine comfortably. read more

Best sushi in Montgomery! We love the Daniel Special Roll and the Yummy Rolls. Grilled chicken bowl has a very generous portion of food. Food is constantly good and so is the service. read more

I love this place. The staff is warm and welcoming, the sushi deluxe is a large portion of quality raw fish. Fresh and will cater to your desired cut. I like belly and they accommodate. Favorite sushi in Montgomery. Try the love boat if you have a few people! read more

Good sushi spot. I tried the Zelda roll, a shrimp tempura roll with eel sauce, and a spicy tuna roll with crunch. All three were good, but the Zelda was my favorite with the shrimp tempura being a little lackluster. However, they don't have an option on Waitr to add tempura crunch to a regular roll, so I added it in the notes section. Well, the restaurant called me to tell me they couldn't accommodate my request because it was $0.50 and I didn't pay that when I ordered...despite it not being an option and spending $32 here on my meal for one person. A little ridiculous for $0.50, but if they are going to charge for it, it should be an option to add it to the roll with the surcharge. read more

After ordering out from them a few times, I decided to go lunch here. The service was not great. I have a Service Dog and went to eat lunch there after ordering out several times. After placing a drink order, the manager came over and told me that "o shouldn't bring the dog because last time someone brought a dog, someone complained about allergies." I asked if anyone here had allergies and she said "No". I told her that it is a Service Dog and is allowed anywhere under the ADA. She didn't understand this. Needless to say, we left. I would not recommend this to anyone with a disability or anyone with a Service Animal. read more

Always as speedy as possible and dependable rolls. Great lunch menu and always a "thank you" from the chef at the bar. THANK YOU, Sushi Cafe, for being a great place close to home. I only wish you would get new music. Maybe just play the radio instead of piano music. Sometimes I get my rolls to-go so I don't have to sit through a piano arrangement of Spice Girls "Two Become One" for the hundredth time. I know you have to hate it too. read more

Service is excellent! This is definitely the best sushi I've had in Montgomery!

Stopped by here to grab a couple of sushi rolls to go (the place is small, so it was the best option at the time to avoid a wait). It was good as expected, since the owner used to work at Miyako, which turns out good sushi as well. I'd pop in more often if I didn't spend the majority of my time on the other side of town. read more

Had sushi at three places in the Montgomery area and this place was by far the best. I really liked the black pepper seared tuna roll. Had several other selections but the tuna was the best. I picked up takeout from here while visiting my parents. I ordered the Daniel special roll and it was delicious. But as for takeout it was fast and yummy. I will definitely go back. read more
