California and Shrimp Tempura
Billie B.

Stopped here for their lunch special which is 2 rolls for $11.95. Got the California roll and shrimp tempura. Both were delicious and so was the Miso soup. Great service as well

Amazing!! The food was unbelievable. Sushi and Sashimi here is definitely amazing, easily as good as some of the best stuff I've had in CA. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Wonderful atmosphere, overall a 10/10.

Sushi with my best has become a tradition when she's in town. So when we found ourselves seeking a new spot in Littleton, we did a quick search and decided to give Sushi Basho a try! SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: Outside, Sushi Basho offers a small parking lot and a patio space that appears to be mostly enclosed. Inside, is modern and dimly lit as I've come to expect from most sushi places during dinner. While they have speakers on the wall, they don't make use of them, which made for an odd atmosphere/experience. DRINKS: I always opt for a Sapporo with my sushi order, so I was happy to find it on their menu. They offer a variety of other beverages, including Japanese novelty drinks, for those looking to try something a little different. BITES: We ordered a small feast for the four of us. We started with crab cheese wontons and yellowtail jalapeño. Then we ordered a variety of rolls including: spicy kani, California, Philadelphia, spicy tuna, 007, scallop, and another special roll! All the rolls tasted fresh! The spicy kani and 007 rolls were my favorites for sure! One of the dishes my friend ordered came with a small soup and salad, both were lackluster. SERVICE: The service was unfortunately where we found ourselves most wanting. Our waiter didn't come back to our table to check if we needed anything after we got our meal. We waited for a while every step along the way. Eh. I prefer a more attentive staff when I'm dinning. Sushi Basho def satisfied both our craving and our tradition. I don't often find myself in Littleton, but wouldn't be opposed to making my way back.

Solid 4 stars. Service wasn't the greatest and way too much teriyaki sauce on the meat. I feel like we were kind of ignored in the corner. The staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back. We walked here from where we parked but it looks like parking can be a pain. We got the boxes and the food was plentiful. My favorite thing is the sauce for the fried shrimp. It was sweet with a slight hint of pepper.

Take out sized portions; great!

Super cheap prices for their rolls, specifically the 6 piece rolls they offer! Got 24 rolls (2 things of California, 1 veggie & an Alaskan roll) as well as some miso soup (less than 5 bucks) for less than $30 in total! The sizes of the sushi are great as well! Filled me up and felt fresh as well, will certainly be coming back. Ordered take-out but the staff from the few encounters I had getting the food was friendly & welcoming. The vibe inside the restaurant is also really nice. They have an oddly placed parking lot & not a lot of spaces available, so be prepared to find street parking when going!

Wow! This sushi was such good quality and for a reasonable price. I sat outside on their covered patio but was well attended to. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. I didn't have to wait long for my meal and the flavor and taste did not disappoint! If you love sushi that is delicious but won't break the bank, I strongly recommend Sushi Basho.

Updated: Back again 3 weeks later and still amazing! Pics included this time: grilled squid, veg tempura app, sushi/sashimi w fatty yellowtail and salmon again. Fresh wasabi on the menu too tonight. Finally tried this place last night and it was SO GOOD! We ordered one of the specials as an appetizer: miso black cod with vegetables, which were perfectly cooked with proper seasoning and fresh and tender vegetables. We also got the vegetable tempura appetizer, which was also cooked perfectly with a nice sample of veggies (not jut root veggies). I am a very picky sushi eater and rarely get rolls: the fatty salmon and yellowtail were AMAZING! Based on previous reviews, I am assuming they have new wait staff. The two ladies waiting on us last night were very attentive and personable. Will definitely be going there again.

The Tempura Lobster Roll is really really good. Awesome starter roll for someone who doesn't like raw fish. First time here and not the last

We had already finished everything by the time it came out. It was very bland. Our server forgot 2 separate items we asked for, even after we asked again. We were the only ones in there - how could you forget? I also ordered the vegetarian fried rice, but it had chicken in it. The rice was clearly old. The soy sauce on the table was empty. They were nice, though. Everything was clean. Miso soup was good. Sweet and sour soup was good. But everything else was inedible and abysmal. Surprised by the really good reviews, but overall just terrible. Will not be back. Will not recommend.

We were immediately welcomed in and seated in a comfortable booth. We all had water within two minutes. We place an appetizer order and a few minutes later, our sushi orders. I was not expecting a restaurant in Colorado to have such impeccable sushi. I ordered oysters that had been shipped in from the west coast which was served a secret wasabi sauce that changed my life. I will never eat dyed horseradish ever again. The oysters were so fresh, sweet, and succulent. I've never had such amazing oysters outside of the west coast. I also ordered hamachi, toro, and sake nigiri. Every piece of fish was incredibly fresh and buttery. It was so fresh that I could taste the sweet, fruity, and floral notes of the hamachi. The server was very kind and recommended several nigori sakes and allowed us to taste them before ordering a bottle which we really appreciated. Jake, the chef, was kind enough to come speak with us and was highly educated in the art of selecting the best fish shipped directly from Japan. We concluded the meal with a gorgeous, ripe pineapple topped with tajin. Next time I visit, I will definitely return to this restaurant. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!
