The sweatband inside was literally hanging by a thread, and other milliners had said it would probably have to be replaced with grosgrain ribbon--which wouldn't have been a total deal-breaker, but I like having the original band that says "4XXXX BEAVER" in it. She freshened it up so the felt looks new and velvety; the best thing is that she had a real light touch in doing it. It basically looks the same, but now it might last fifty more years!

She was super patient and accomodating during my visits, when I tried all of the hats in her lovely studio, even when I brought mum and fiance along to help me pick. I ended up with a spectacular little thing with a gorgeous veil, where she could name a place and time every one of the materials came from. I had gone to Galia Lahav and explained to them my situation and within SIX WEEKS of my wedding they were able to pull some amazing strings. They had the gown shipped from Tel Aviv to California where I was moving only four weeks out from my wedding. The gown shipped, and I tried it on for the first time just over two weeks from my wedding date. To say the gown was perfect, was an understatement.
