To start with the house we rented had an attached apartment. When we reserved this location we were told that it was included in the rental. Then the week before we got here we were told that the space had been rented and we would be sharing the property. This forced two of guest to sleep on the floor. We were promised internet and after a week still do not have any. (I can not complete my masters school work) The house has bugs, the microwave doesn't work, and the customer service is the worse. They will ignore our calls, and claim they never got messages. Please save your self the trouble and use another rental company. This one is terrible.

The furniture is worn, beds are not comfortable at all, mattresses sag, sleeper sofa in livingroom is shot and sags very badly. Not to mention when I opened the cabinet under the kitchen counter, I was greeted by those little brown bugs that can survive a nuclear attack, ROACHES, just insane they would call this place clean and lie because it looks nothing like the photos. The best part of it, is the pool is only 30 ft away and open till 11pm. Sorry my company had to pay for this. If I was on vacation and spent MY money for the family, I would be pissed. I would definitely recommend checking it out in person first, then making a decision. Not sure of the other places here but this one sux.

So, we got a great deal on an oceanfront condo in Building B. The condo was nice and has been updated. It could sleep 5, but it was just the 2 of us. 5 would have been tight, but doable. The views of the ocean were great and we are spending a lot of time on the balcony. The amenities are decent. There is a large outdoor pool, and smaller pool area that also has a kids play area and a lazy river. There is also a decent sized indoor pool. The last pool is by the high rise building which is undergoing some renovations and is therefor currently closed. We eat most meals out and leave the resort to do so. Not many options here. This resort lies between two of the largest campgrounds in the MB area. The area by the ocean is gated but unlocked and unmonitored so folks from anywhere on the beach can come and go...and they do. There is zero keeping anyone from using the pools, the restaurants, etc. What we did not know is that the only operating restaurant on property is an open air bar just 100 yards away from our condo. When we arrived on Saturday night they had karaoke. Annoying, but ok, it's Saturday. Then they did it again on Sunday. Ok, so maybe it's a weekend thing. Here we are on Monday and it's going again. It's hard to enjoy an evening on the balcony when every night from 6-11 is filled with off-pitch singing. And as the night goes on, the drunker and louder the crowd gets. Again, our condo is good and the views are great. We love being steps from the beach. But this is a party resort for theand very little ability to enjoy quiet time. Not our style at all.

I feel this probably stems from the policies Oceanside Village has chosen to implement which are inconvenient and challenging for owners and guests alike. I can imagine if I had to answer the same reasonable questions repeatedly because of unreasonable policies, I'd be frustrated as well. If you are happy staying in a glorified trailer park for your beach vacation, this may be the place for you; but, expect the same type of atmosphere.

However, they were open 12-3 on Friday. I emailed the office Thursday to advise the condo was beautiful, but not clean. I even emailed these pictures. I know the e-mail was correct because I had contacted them a few times prior. Not only did they not come to clean, or at least bring me a cleaning tote, but they didn't even bother to call or email me regarding the complaint. It's been 2 weeks. When you have to pay It in full 30 days prior to arrival, it should be clean. They also want you to run the dishwasher, which is impossible without dish washer detergent. Duneside III #206 is right beside the pier, but it's noisy because it's at a busy intersection and the windows facing the road are old. (And filthy) Patio door and window need screens. Barking dogs and rude guests who get in after midnight and stand outside your window talking. If I owned that condo, I would expect the rental company to clean it. Not swiffer, clean the pics, the baseboards, the doors, cabinets and window sills. You pay them to do these things. I have fibromyalgia and needed to soak in the bath. This is their idea of clean. The view is gorgeous, but I don't think we'll stay here again.
