If I can give this place a negative 5 star they deserve it! The location I was suppose to stayed at was disgusting and disturbing. Hole in the shower? Mold inside the unit? They decide to cover the hole with clear tape ........ just wow. I didn't stay at this until one day. I try to get my money they said no. They kept the whole amount and I didn't get a dollar back. Inquired about 5004 north ocean blvd, decided to book it despite no reviews on vbro and it being outdated. Requested contract which they sent over promptly. I decided to google their reviews as a company in the meantime and noticed a pattern. So I said to them hey I'm gonna have my attorney look over the contract if you could send one over dated accordingly that would be great. So I got a phone call this morning from them telling me Jennifer didn't wanna deal with me anymore since I have an attorney involved. Meanwhile all the attorney did was check the fine print for me as a favor! I was gonna pay today asap as soon as I received new contract But not now since Jennifer has lived up to her google reviews! THIS IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I REMEMBERED GETTING WHEN WE RENTED WITH OCEANFRONT VACATION RENTALS. I APPRECIATE JENNIFER GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE SURE OUR FAMILY HAD A ROOM AND MORE IMPORTANT WE DONT HAVE TO SEPARATE. WE WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR EXPECT NEXT YEAR WE WILL GO DIRECTLY THROUGH OCEANFRONT VACATION RENTALS. We stayed with oceanfront vacation rentals a couple years ago and was booked through VRBO and had a wonderful experience. So we thought we would give it another try. My parents having already booked theirs at the same locations through Elliott Beach Rental. My dad went ahead and booked the one I found on VRBO for us which is just like the one we had a few years back. Total quoted on VRBO was $1362 it told him that $748 was due now which he put in his credit card information and hit continue. It said the remaining balance would be due June 13th. He gets an email from Oceanfront vacation rentals stating that he owes $1700 and if they took the insurance fee off it would be a little over $1500. We were told that VRBO had the price wrong and that you actually have to go through them to rent it. Then why have your guest pay $125 and a $40 VRBO fee to go through VRBO if you don't use them or their price?? I also contacted VRBO and was told that was the correct pricing that we were quoted from their website. I was told yesterday that they were having a conference call with VRBO about our situation and they would let us know what the outcome was. Dad got the call today that it would be over $1500 with no explanation to what went wrong. Leaving us without a room. Yet I can still go and reserve this room again and it gives me the same price $1362. Now my self, my husband and my 2 kids will be split from my parents on a family vacation. This has been the absolute worst experience that we have ever had in 20 years. I would love to find out who the owner of this property is so they to can see what's been going on with their unit. read more

We stayed at the Windward Palms last week and our family had a blast! The 4 bd/3 bath condo was great! Furnishings were nice, pool was great (the pool is only shared by 4 other units), block away from the beach. Close to everything in Myrtle Beach! I only have 2 bad things to say. 1) they did not allow early check in (check in is at 3pm). I did ask ahead of time through email and was denied. We arrived at 2:15 pm, after a 16 hour drive from Chicago, we were beat. I didnt think 2:15 was too early of a check in. We were asked to come back at 3pm sharp. We went back at 2:55 and there were people walking out with a handful of "goodies". As I walked in their office, there was a line. 2) My second issue is with the "goodies". Everyone I saw walking out of the office had what looked like a gift basket. When I walked in to the office, I could see they laid out items out for people to take. I am not taking anything unless I am asked to. The lady in front of me was instructed to take a few items and she loaded up! After I received the condo keys, I waited for the lady to tell me to grab a few items.. i asked, "anything else I need?" she replied, no. I slowly walked out the door looking back at her as if to say, "aren't you forgetting to tell me something". I left empty handed. read more

Rented a condo from this place on Myrtle Beach. The same week that hurricane Dorian is happening. I would of had a 14 hour drive from Connecticut with my 9 month old baby. Prior to our arrival I called and spoke to Lisa Lynn Lemmons and pleaded with her if we could please rebook for another date due to the hurricane coming. She kept saying she cannot help because its against their policy and all she sees is rain in the forecast. I explained to her I don't want to rebook because of rain but because of a hurricane and don't want to be told to evacuate with a baby. Well now there are mandatory evacuations happening and she still states she will not refund me because it's against policy. Very money hungry company!! Avoid at all costs. read more

I have a hard time deciding what I want. After several e-mails back and forth with Carol, I was convinced I made the right choice using OCEAN FRONT RENTALS. I was to stay the month of October 2016. We were only there three days when ordered to evacuate. Good thing we did. I watch the weather and road reports for three days till I decided to come back. When I got back to Myrtle Beach our hotel was a mess with water on every floor and sheetrock hanging from the celling. I didn't call. I went to the office on 21st ST N. They couldn't do enough for me. Found a condo that was dry in the same block I was staying. Allowed me to stay in it for the next three weeks. It was surly an up grade from where I booked. Carol called in two days and asked if everything was ok, and did I need anything else. I replied yes, nothing, it was great. I asked if there would be an upcharge. Her response was, no, just enjoy! If they treat every customer like that, they should be the number one vacation rental co on the Grand Strand. Brian H. read more

Rented a house from them for 3 years and then their broker is saying there is damage in the house that we did, but it was already there when we moved in. Beware and be sure to take pictures of every square inch of the house/apartment you may rent from them to be able to back yourself up. Will never rent from them again nor would I recommend anyone to rent from them. read more

We travelled 6 hours on a Saturday. We had rented 2 condos (at the same resort) one 3 bedroom and one 4 bedroom. When we arrived, the 3 bedroom condo was destroyed. Mattresses were flipped everywhere, carpets were soaked, and it smelled like sewage. The room had flooded a couple of days prior. The room was on the 11th floor and it flooded all the way down to the 1st floor. We TRIED contacting Oceanfront Vacation Rentals for over 4 hours. No one would answer. Half the family had no place to sleep. We contacted maintenance at the resort and they said nothing could be done, since it was contracted out through a rental agency. The two maintenance workers told us that they had informed Oceanfront Vac. Rentals of the flood days prior. So that the guest arriving (US) could of been contacted to make different arrangements. Finally after trying to contact them for hours, they finally called us back. They tried putting us in a smaller room, down the road, and not even on the beach. Less value for what was paid. We refused because it was not enough room. My dad got an email from them stating that they did not want our business anymore. I wrote a review on Facebook and they hid it so no one could see it. The owner even acknowledged the incident but the actions taken were very unprofessional. Refusing customers is just wrong especially when it wasn't even our fault. I hope no one experiences this! read more

First it should be noted that not one review on their site listed fir this unit is from a customer but from management on behalf of the customer. I had questioned that from the beginning but was assured that this was the most beautiful unit in the building. As well, we did rent last year thru an owner in the same building with an absolute 5 star stay. We had not used OFV oceanfront vacation rentals for that trip. This trip we arrived on sat at 12:30 and waited until 2:00 to pick up keys. ( we were informed that check in was at 3 so we understood there may be a delay) My husband and I are business owners and were hoping to get away for a relaxing week. It is only 3 days into our vacation and it has been nothing but stress. We came in the unit that day to no phone service ( which you need for room service and to call the main desk or room to room). As well, the tv in the master bedroom with the ocean view did not work. We called OFV to report both. We were told that some one would be up to help with the tv however the phones could not be fixed until the following Monday. That evening with two very tired sick children we were not able to order room service. Sunday the tv was fixed however no phone. OFV stated it was a problem in the whole building, however in speaking with other tenants and royal palms management there had been no other complaints???. Monday evening during opening season football, the kitchen sick would not shut off and we could not get cold water. Again we called OFV and to our surprise they did not think this was an emergency??? Finally at 10:00 pm with kids in bed and the threat of a flood the plumber came, as well as they had to finish the job the next morning. First thing on arrival I asked my husband where the safety deposit box was.. There was none!!!! Tues morning I noticed $2,700 was missing. After trying to figure how this may have happened, my husband and I realized that the main door didn't close like the others in the building. When you leave, if you do not firmly close the door it will stay open. We asked management and other tenants if their doors closed automatically which they did. I explained this to OFV which they blew off saying "the doors are too heavy??". Royal palms management stated it was the owners issue to address (truly no one cared) spent my day filing a police report to hopefully see if I can recover the money. Grand larceny was what they classified it as. We have been here 3 days and are positive, optimistic people,but this has been terrible, would never have this stress at home. We firmly feel that we should receive a refund for this disaster. We have been told there are often complaints from this unitby vacationers that have visited the adjacent room for 8 weeks of the year for the last 10 years. They rent through the Hilton which I highly recommend. Avoid oceanfront vacation rentals. read more

We stayed at Maisons-sur-Mer in a condo through Oceanfront. The condo itself was nice; didn't give me the ooh ah...but nice. The property was awesome. Oceanfront wrongfully charged us for damages that we didn't create based off of the word of the maid and a maintenance guy who could be connected to her in some way...who knows. We received a call about 45 min - hr after we pulled up to our home 4 hours away to be informed of what the maid said. We were cut off in a rude and unprofessional way when we tried to explain that we walked through on day one and saw one of the damages. The other one was something the maid must have done herself because the only person staying in the room was my 17 yr old daughter who is just as OCDish about cleaning as I am. The clean folded towels sat on the dresser they claimed to have a spot on it. It was said heat was applied. The only heat used in the condo was a small flat iron used only one time in the bathroom. I witnessed it myself. I made a mental note of the toilet seat being broken, sliding door by the fridge not locking, water filter on fridge needing to be changed. I didn't take pictures bc I thought it would make it look like I've never stayed in a place like that before. Well, I should have! We were told we would get an itemized list of what they claimed as the damages but by the next morning, they kept our $100 deposit and charged $200 more for a broken toilet seat that was already broken and a spot on the dresser that I never saw. We paid over $1200 for that condo and the environment of the property saved the argument of the condo not being worth the money. The unprofessionalism was out of this world. One of the office staff told me that she knew the damages were ours because the owner recently stayed. Well I cut her short bc she didn't know I was privy to a conversation of the neighbor across from our door who just so happen to be in talking of how the owner died. So I asked how could a deceased person recently stay. So, after calls all the next morning and emails that weren't answered, someone...possibly the maid, called me back with her story. She had me on speaker for the entire office I'm sure. She stated she was there recently and the damages weren't there. So I am trying to figure out who was it that was actually there recently??? Point being, I will never put another dime in Oceanfront. We were looking into buying property but it will never be with them!! Especially if this is the way they make extra money buy falsely accusing people of damages, not giving them a chance to prove themselves and using the card number they saved on file without permission to charge them. I have filed a report with BBB and taken other matters. I live in a beautiful 3500 sq ft home and every inch is clean. I have a teenage daughter and 2 younger daughters and we do not live like pigs and certainly do not rent vacation homes to only party like rock stars while there. I was humiliated and stressed the remainder of my weekend only because I know for a fact I was like a drill sergeant making sure all was well in the home while we stayed. I never in all my years received a call regarding damages. We've received calls of how they would like for us to come bak but never this. We asked and was never provided a copy of the checklist of the inventory from the last time someone stayed. It was never given bc on the website, they stated they do annual checks. So it is a fact no one ever goes behind the maid or maintenance guy who may do patch work. I am so through with this company! The money is not the issue....it's the cost of a hairdo or an out fit! The principle is what matters and how we were treated! Be careful of not taking your own before pictures or calling the office on day one with a report of anything out of the way. read more
