My husband and I ate here last night after receiving the recommendation while shopping and polling Hagerstown residents...this family said it was cheap, good, clean, and would fill your belly! And it did not disappoint! Sushi was good, hibachi was excellent, variety was unbelievable! Everything was hot and fresh and refilled quickly! Our servers were great at refilling without being summoned. I have to watch my gluten intake and the variety here was awesome!! Soup, salad, veggies, seafood!! All of it was amazing considering we paid $22 for two adults to stuff themselves :-) When you are living on one income with three kids at home, you want to get the most out of your date nights, and I'll say we definitely did!! The food tastes just like any other Chinese buffet. There are only two Chinese buffets in Hagerstown, and this one just has more variety. They rush you in the middle of eating to pay the bills. If you are going to rush the customer, why don't you just ask us to pay as soon as we enter? read more

It's a Chinese buffet. The sushi was alright, but not stellar. The hibachi was alright, but again, not stellar. Choices on the hot bars were your usual buffet options. The thing that made me give 3 stars is the inclusion of large, plain steamed clams. No overbearing sauce, just simple steamed clams. We had recently moved from an area that had a buffet similar to this (inclusive Chinese-American, american, sushi, and hibachi). We tend to go to buffets to accommodate a quick, easy, cheap family dinner night where everyone can get what they want. We adored our old one and feared we wouldn't find another location like it, we were wrong, in fact we found some place better! The interior is lovely, we were greeted by huge entrance way with a cute indoor pond filled with koi and goldfish - our family enjoyed them while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. The service on drinks was fast and friendly, I never once had to make a request for a refill or to have the table cleared. The food was all very good! I'm typically a light eater as well, the night we went, I had 4 plates full...my family was shocked! The sushi was top notch and not even in the sense "for a buffet", it was legitimately decent enough to hold up on its own in a restaurant. They had one of the largest dessert spreads I've seen in a while, it was a treat indeed! My only qualm, and it has nothing to do with the business, the patrons were terribly rude. I had numerous people rush by me, jump in front of me - mostly everyone had a complete disregard for their fellow man - I had a polite exchange of excuse me and I'm sorry with one person the entire night. One young lady even tripped my toddler when she decided to sit sideways in the aisle to chat with the booth near her table despite my walking thru and excusing us before hand. Despite the patrons, we will be returning! Edit: after a few return visits, we've become a bit disappointed in comparison to our original visits. The sushi selection hasn't been as good and sometimes the combinations are a bit odd or hacked together. In recent trips I tend to find myself eating the same exact thing as my previous trips and not straying from that - the fried shrimp, hibachi, and fruit are pretty much all I'll load onto my plate. Good food. But the waitress rush us while we was still eating to pay. Not only did I leave a tip on the table but she ended up charging my card a 20% tip on top of the tip on the table with out my permission. I sign the total amount with out a tip because I had cash for it but they seem to like to tip them self after your gone. So beware and check your receipt. read more

Great place as far as buffets go. These people with negative reviews don't know what buffet eating is all about. You don't go during the slow times. Also don't expect a 5 star quality meal. Yeah, "Meh. I've definitely had better" according to Yelp's 2 star rating. Been here several times, and the hibachi grill is by far the best on their buffet. The sushi options aren't bad either, but I'm the only one in the family who eats sushi. As for the rest of the slop on the buffet, slop is pretty much a good word to use. Not a fan of many of their dishes, and some have actually found their way into a napkin at the table instead of making it to the stomach. Service is not always that good either. While I may go back if I have a bad craving for some hibachi food, I'd rather go to golden corral for a buffet since there's more choices, edible choices. read more

Very nice buffet! We went on a Sunday and with such a large place even though it was busy it didn't feel like it. The sushi was alright, not great. But there was a wide variety of food and it was all hot and fresh. We particularly liked the crab ragoons. The worst customer service ever! We came with a group along with our tour guide who pre asked $21 for the buffet. However,I read the review at yelp the price line for adult dinner buffet was around $10. When I asked the host for the price she refused to tell me the actual price and rudely asked us to go find another place to eat if we are not willing to pay $21. This place has some very good american Chinese foods in the area. As well as a variety of different foods! So far I haven't had a problem and have been back several times to eat. Although they have a hibachi grill where you prepare a meal, and I suggest you watch out for the sauces you pick they are really salty. Visit this restaurant a lot of times now. Found this place several years ago, because I was really tire of eating fast food every time we went shopping at the near by outlet mall or passing Hagerstown area. Lunch is around 7 dollars, dinner is around 11 per person + soft drink but hot tea is included, when you order a fast food burger meal, it will cost you around seven dollars also, why not some hot food and hot tea! This is an average Chinese buffet in my opinion, no fancy food but most of their dishes taste not bad, sushi is decent, they cook hibachi right, seating area is huge and clean, service is very good. Don't expect too much from this restaurant, no buffet will give you high end sushi roll, you will not like all their dishes, just enjoy the dishes you like with the price you pay. read more

We walked into this place not knowing what to expect. My wife and I thought it would have been a elective buffet meaning menu ordering or buffet you see my wife really doesn't like buffets. I kind of have a few complaints about the hiachi grill restaurant. Okay, for starters, some of the food isn't always that hot. I don't really understand why it's so hard to heat food up. Also they have got some really good Chinese food. It's pretty good. The lobsters are fake, which in my opinion are gross. The contain fake crab meat. The dining area and bathrooms are really nice, and sanitary. But for thier desserts, the only "edible" thing there is, is the ice cream. Which they have 5 or 6 different flavors. There jello has no flavor at all, and all the other things taste weird. Also there water taste like dish water and there lemonade taste like feet. I recommend those are two drinks NOT to order. The fruit smells funny in my opinion. Overall, I give the hibachi grill 3 stars. Definitely not a 5 star restaurant. read more

I have eaten here a number of times, guess you just need to know what is good and what you need to stay clear of. Sushi is just okay, lot of fake "krab" which I don't eat. The hibachi grill is the way to go to have it hot and fresh though. Tonight had chicken off the buffet and it was green...ick. Showed management and they did not care. Last time in got a serving of mussels and nearly 1/2 were not even open (cooked) they offer split crabs that are not worth even trying to eat. They have chinese and japanese entrees, american choices, fresh sushi bar, a hibachi bar you can choose what meat and veggies you want and they cook it fresh in front of you. I love the hibachi! It's my favorite part. My dad doesn't like Chinese, but he's still happy with the American foods and fruit! My kids love watching the hibachi chef make my food and that there is such a large selection. They pick ONE thing new to try each time and like it most of the time. Update: Couldn't wait for friends to go, so on our way back from Balto. we stopped to have dinner (6PM). The only reason it gets a 1 star is the greeter asked how many in your party and showed us to our table and he said "welcome & enjoy your meal" all in ENGLISH. A good start, as I thought it was. 1st let me say when I reviewed prior comments, a cheese steak sub was mentioned. Yelp must of changed to another restaurant. At 1st I thought this is weird then they do serve American food. I tried many many of their offerings, I found only the butterfly shrimp and the stir fried noodles with steak cooked for me to be the only thing that was eatable (plus left a tip in the jar). Every item was cold except what I mentioned above. I don't mean warn, down right cold. The crab/bacon in the shell was like little chopped/diced ham and don't no where the crab was. The crab wonton things were mushy, clams-yes they were large and fully cooked (not like everything else) but you know what is coming - yes COLD. The mash potatoes were cold and taste like powder. I could go on and on but you get the point by now. I was at 1st embarrassed about asking about the cheese steak subs. Well it turned out no worries they didn't understand me any ways. I know because the waitress walk over and brought me back cheese sticks. The chief just pointed at the food. One last comment and that is my friends said it was as good as a Las Vegas buffet. Well they must never have been to a buffet their. I have and also at Reno each year for the supperbowl and once you go to one of them you'll just want to hang around until the breakfast buffet opens. Hagerstown has been sorely lacking in an appropriately campy Chinese buffet, but Supreme Buffet has more than filled that hole. They are GIGANTIC, and the selection is vast. It's the typical Chinese buffet dishes, but that's exactly what you want when you go to these places, right? I love that they have some plain steamed vegetables in the buffet, so you can at least get some vitamins in with your goopy, delicious buffet food. After the waiter took our drink orders, we dove into trying out all the food (it should be noted that although there is a wide selection of food, half of it is poor attempts at American food. The sushi was odd; one roll tasted like it had barbeque sauce in it. Also, the sushi selection is quite limited and the sushi chefs seem to neglect refilling empty stations. Hibachi was your standard "Japanese buffet" hibachi, salty and chock full of soy sauce. The dessert selection seemed standard as well, but the tapioca pudding and ice cream were decent. We came in starving as we didn't eat much brunch, so we wanted to fill up! Hubby and I thought we weren't gonna get a seat as it was a bit packed for Saturday night dinner. We came in like at 7pm but still got a booth which was great! The greatest find was of course the price. For $9.99 per person, for a dinner buffet, you definitely can't go wrong! We thought at first that the food was gonna be shitty, but it was sooo great! The amazing thing is the variety! Oh my! There was seafood of course, chinese food, sushi and a hibachi grill but there was american, italian and other food as well! Sushi had such a variety than other buffet out there, and they refill the stations when it's almost gone. Yipee! Soups and salads were a plenty, plus a lot of fruit for dessert. And yes, there is ice cream! The taste is a bit diluted tho in my opinion than other commercial varieties but is understandable. The meats like chicken, beef and pork were just great, my favourites were the hibachi chicken-- sweet in marinated sauce in bit size pieces, i loved the crab and cheese too, but my favourite was the salt and pepper crab, loved the buttery sauce, plus it was crispy to perfection! Roast beef was okay, but so so, sushi was really good too, hubby came back in seconds and loved it. Oh and there was french fries! Hahah! I have been here a few time over the past few months. The servers get drinks wrong multiple times. The bar is full of American food. Hibachi was good better than some I have had. The sushi did not live up to it's expectations not to mention you are expected to know what sushi is what as the bar is not marked letting you know what is what. I will never eat here again!!! My fiance killed a roach that was crawling accross our table. We told our waitress who came back with a gentleman that picked the roach up with a napkin and inspected it. Then said sorry he would take one person off the bill. There are so many dishes to choose from. Most of them are really good, but the broiled fish is so bad it made me gag- never had fish that tasted so horrible. The sushi bar started out ho hum, but when we went last weekend, it was amazing! I am a big sushi buff, and have sushi all over, so was pleasantly surprised that they improved so much. The presentation was very artistic, there were many types to choose from, the rice was done perfectly, and the seaweed wrap was tasty. On a small negative note; there is something wrong with their freezer, the ice cream has been extremely soft and some are kind of runny, hopefully they will fix that soon. There are some awesome shrimp dishes and hibachi dishes. I do agree though, the service is slipping a bit. Many of the girls look just plain bored and sometimes it's hard to get them to come back to the table.
