Absolutely lovely experience at Supreme Auto. I called first because I have a 1995 truck and the testing equipment is different. And frankly, I had contacted my normal smog place and their machine was broken...tried another place and their machine was broken...and they all have to wait for the technician to come fix it. Gotta say I'm not sad at all that their broken machines led me here. Arrived around 11:15am on a Friday and pulled right in to a spot in front of the office to get all set up. They let me know it would take ~30 minutes. So I wandered around the neighborhood (don't miss Lucky seafood across the street and down a block!!) and came back after 30 min. It was good timing because they needed to show me a cracked, old hose as part of the visual inspection that is required. I had 3 choices - leave it, have him cut the hose at the break and attach from there, or new hose. New hose, please. How much? About $10. Okay. I was waiting in the office when another man came in to thank me for waiting and let me know the machine software and just glitched out and they had to restart it. Everything had passed and it was fine - but the software reboot would take a few minutes. No problem. When the mechanic actually came into the office with all my papers etc to check me out, he also apologized. I guess people expect to be in and out in 30 minutes. I was just happy to be getting my baby smogged - so if it took ~45 min, then so be it. But I appreciated all the updates and apologies. He only charged me $5 for the hose...I think because of the wait time. I absolutely won't hesitate to come back. I'm posting photos of their signs with rates so everyone understands that the age of your vehicle dictates the price - the machinery is different. They are great for what they mainly are, a SMOG station. They are quick and knowledgeable. Our Altima didn't pass. But, they said it needed to be driven 100 miles since it hadn't been driven in over two years. Drove it to Tracy and back. And it passed. We then asked the same for our Audi. Passed smog. They also provided oil changes! Again quick and excellent service. The Audi needed extra work done. And they mentioned that they also work on German Luxury cars. And since they provided such excellent service with the smog we thought we'd give them a try. We were a bit disappointed that it took about 3 days to get a quote on what needs to be done. Then it was another two weeks to get the car fixed. And it was only a couple minor things that ended up getting fixed since we needed to head on a road trip! Worse part is that the coolant was still leaking after we picked it up. So we had to take it back. Picked it up the day before our road trip a little bit nervous! But it was fine. Will I bring my car back to them to do the other things that still need to be done to bring my car to like new conditions? No! I'd give them 2 stars on being mechanics! Would I recommend them for Smog & Oil Changes? Yes! They deserve a 5 star rating on that! read more

I called yesterday and they told me they open at 9:30 and it's all first come first serve. I woke up early, got ready and headed down because my tags are due tomorrow--oy veh! great place to go to get a simple oil change. I was in and out within 15 mins. this owner here is really nice and was quick and effective.

Staff was professional and efficient on my smog test. My car was not ready to be certified due to a recent body shop visit that reset some data. They were willing to offer a free test in a few weeks. The reason for the one star: I bumped my fender driving in, not knowing how steep the sidewalk slope was. It was totally my fault for not doing a better maneuver. When I told this incident to the staff, he seemed totally dismissive, saying "I've never heard anyone who had this problem." I went back to the sidewalk for a picture and realized that was complete bullshit. The concrete was scratched to a white color, which made me cringe over all those poor cars. When I suggested that a notice by their roadside ad would help future customers, they didn't seem to care much. If you have a pick up truck or an SUV, you are probably fine. But needless to say, I would not risk hundreds of dollars to come back for a free test. read more

Excellent service on a simple Smog Test gone awry! First off, I guess I should say, I'm not paid or anything. I don't know the owners of Supreme Auto, and only met the cool ass staff having found them here on Yelp. They had great reviews, and were right down the street from my place, so I went in for my recent Smog Test. I have been having electrical issues since I was gifted with my 2012 Ford Focus. After having installed a new battery, and having some work done, Supreme Auto's mechanics told me that my car's sensor system required 50-100 miles of driving to reset. Well, after bringing back twice, and probably 200 miles, it still had not reset. So, instead of up-charging or anything, the awesome mechanics of Supreme Auto offered to reset the system for me! FOR FREE! This was, of course, with a very honest warning. Knowing some about auto computer systems, I decided to chance it. It works great, and the factory restore allowed for the Smog Test to go through without a hitch! Let me repeat: All of this was provided FREE OF CHARGE for the price of the Test and certificate. (I think under $50 total) I didn't know them, was a complete stranger, and they were extremely nice the entire time through the process. Not only that, they really are knowledgeable mechanics! After seeing them tuning up their own vehicles, I will DEFINITELY use Supreme Auto for my future general mechanic work. How could I not, after seeing them go above and beyond like that. That means literally everything for a budge conscience driver such as myself. Best Smog Check I've ever had--well, turned free advice, diagnosis, and electronic work! I have been here twice and felt they were affordable and easy to deal with. Having a 17 year old car, many people try to convince me it has issues or try to convince me something is off on the visual. Car is bone stock. This place doesn't hassle me and is very quick. This time around, my CEL had just come on, fixed the issue myself but they scanned it first to make sure everything was fine before hand, rather than just hoping I would fail and come back. Most people here use them for a quick smog and star smog(I do too) but my last visit I had to also replace a front license plate(car was stolen so it was either stolen too or they hit things and it fell off during that period). They helped me get new plates and registration and installed it on the spot. I paid a bit more (because of DMV transaction fees) but I don't care, I'm grateful just to not have to go back to the DMV. Love the manager Bruce, the work he does for the community at affordable prices, speedy service over the years, and I actually met his wife(if I remember her saying correctly) for the first time who helped me through the paperwork. I honestly want to buy them all lunch from the noodle shops across the streets sometime if it isn't a bother. Honest and reliable business. Called as I was rushing out of work in San Francisco to see if they could take my car for a smog check before they closed at 6:00pm. The owner let me know that it wasn't busy, but it's on a first come first serve basis. I rush over to Fruitvale BART and driver over to Supreme Auto! There were a few other cars in his lot and I was a little worried my car wouldn't get checked out. To my surprise they owner tells me the smog check will take around 15-20 minutes. So relieved!! The owner was running back and fourth making sure to attend to all the customers, which I was really impressed with. My smog check ended up only taking around 8 minutes tops! This place is a dream! I drove in here on a Saturday afternoon to get my Smog test for my 2009 Honda Accord. I had cleared out an hour from my afternoon since that's how long my last Smog test took, but it was so much quicker than that. The staff at Supreme Auto were SO friendly and super efficient. I was in and out of there in under 10 minutes. Most painless transaction ever! My 2009 Honda Accord cost $31.95 (with a $5 Yelp discount) and $8.95 for the certificate. I stopped by on Friday morning to ask how much for a smog. $50. Is this competitive? Yes! I haven't needed a smog check in a long time. This is the first one on my 2003 Honda Accord that I bought new. I stopped at one other place down the street to check the price. The other place was a smog only station. I was greeted by a boy wheeling a phone holding up one finger who couldn't have been more than 7 years old. If you have seen UP, it was totally the small mailman! He had a gold ring in his ear studded with diamonds or cubic zirconium or something. I reluctantly asked him how much a smog was. He said he had to call his dad. He then handed me the phone and his dad answered. Same as the other place $50. I then explained to the little UP boy that I was going to go look at a childcare option and be back for a smog. He was standing in my way so I couldn't just drive off. He then proceeded to grill me on why Grandma, Auntie, or Cousin couldn't take care of my little one. Because the little mailman creeped me out a bit, I decided to go back to the first place. After my failed attempt to interview a potential child care place (I left in tears at the thought of leaving my daughter there before even talking to anyone in person), I returned to Supreme Auto Repair where they whisked my car away for a mere 10 min. to smog it while I peacefully watched my daughter sleep in her car seat in their waiting room while texting my fragile emotional state to my sister (I didn't dare call her because I knew I would end up in tears over the phone). In the background I listened to the 2 shop people with broken English try to find out what happened to their UPS package that had reached its third and final failed attempt to get a signature. For some reason I felt safe. My car passed its smog, I paid the man $50 in cash, and I left with a feeling of accomplishment even in the face of failing to actually go through with my first child care interview.
