I've had dentists in at least 4 states and/or provinces and I can safely say the best cleaning I've ever had was here, my teeth were immaculate and it wasn't some awkard jabbing dance that tends to sometimes happen. Truly super. Also, super is that for cavity repair, the needle numbing action was done so smoothly expertly than I couldn't so much as register it was even happening. Needed to find a new dentist after moving. I could not have been happier with my experience at Supertooth with Dr Kitsis. Everyone was friendly, professional, and welcoming. It was clear that they knew what they were talking about and I left feeling more educated about how to take care of my teeth and gums. The hygenist did a thorough but careful job of cleaning. Dr. Kitsis is a fine dentist. Unfortunately, my frustrations came with the staff. Everyone is very nice, but I could never get them to follow up on things. When I first moved to Seattle and transferred to SuperTooth, I asked them to get dental records from my previous dentist. I filled out a request form. I e-mailed it to them as they requested and called to confirm a week later when I didn't hear anything. They said I hadn't e-mailed them the form even though it was timestamped in my out box. I sent it again and confirmed with them while they were on the phone that they had received it. When I didn't hear anything, I figured they had received my records. They called me one day before my appointment and told me they didn't have dental records on file, and that I would need to reschedule and fill out a dental request form. AGAIN. When I finally got to my appointment, they said they STILL didn't have records, and that I would have to pay for new x-rays. When I told them how many times I asked them to request my records, they blamed it on my former dentist. I went to my former dentist for four years and they were a dream. I KNEW it wasn't them being unresponsive. Thankfully, Dr. Kitsis stepped in and said they wouldn't charge me for the additional x-rays. This type of administrative cluster kept occurring. My technician tried to convince me to get night guards. I agreed, but asked staff to check with my insurance on the cost first, call me with the price, and I would schedule the appointment. They never called. This struck me as odd because it was an additional service, and up-sell of their typical services, that they would benefit from if they only followed up. When I changed insurances, I e-mailed them my new insurance information and asked them to confirm. Twice. They never responded. Out of frustration, I have changed dentists. I don't have time to remind people to follow-up on job duties. I am way too busy. I expect better customer service than this. From a dental services perspective, my cleaning (and filling) with Dr. Kitsis was pleasant. He seems professional and to know his business. The staff is generally very enthusiastic and nice, but the amount of pestering they need to do their job is unacceptable for my standards. I'd go elsewhere and save yourself the headache. read more

They have stopped accepting METLIFE insurance, please check your coverage before visiting. I visited the dentist on January 9th and the front office told me AFTER the treatment that they had stopped accepting metlife insurance and I would have to pay for the entire treatment out of pocket. The front office did NOT take my consent before the treatment for covering the cost and made me pay $880 for two cavities but assured me that they would work with my insurance to file an out of network claim and that I will receive a check from my insurance within 6 weeks. I was also told that they will send an itemized bill to me which I did not receive. This is April now, and they have had no follow-ups with me to provide the itemized bill or the claim information. The doctor is great but the front-office is painful. read more

Dr. Kitsis is a phenomenal dentist. When I started seeing him 5 years ago, my teeth were in terrible shape. For as long as I can remember my teeth have been sensitive so this has made committing to routine dental care a life-long issue. The first time I met Dr. Kitsis I was in terrible pain and needed a tooth extracted. I had gone to two other dentists before him to have the problem tooth dealt with and on both occasions I left during the examination because I couldn't stand the pain. I felt immediate relief when I sat in Dr. Kitsis chair for the first time. He was compassionate, patient and soothing; and, didn't seem frustrated by my low pain tolerance. My tooth extraction went smoothly and so did the placement of implant that followed. Initially I had no intention of having other dental work done but my experience was so positive that I proceeded to have other cavities filled and I haven't missed a cleaning in 5 years. I also have a problem with grinding my teeth at night. Unfortunately the issue is so severe that I have chipped teeth in my sleep before... Dr. Kitsis has been committed to helping me with this problem by continually adjusting nightguards for my mouth when my teeth shift of grinding patterns change. I lived with headaches for years before Dr. Kitsis addressed this problem. Lastly, having my teeth cleaned used to be so painful so I avoided it. I used to get the sense that dentists thought I was overreacting but I truly found them excruciating. Having my teeth cleaned is a non-issue for me now as Dr. Kitsis numbs my mouth prior to each cleaning. This takes longer but it's well worth it. The Supertooth staff is absolutely wonderful. They are genuine, cheerful and helpful. The office is beautiful, stylish, modern and clean. Supertooth also has a therapy dog on staff who is awesome! Everyone I have referred to Supertooth is beyond impressed. If you have anxiety about going to the dentist or you are especially sensitive, look no further for a dentist. I used to shake with nervousness as soon as I would sit down in a dentist's chair and now I just sit back and relax. read more

This is my first review on Yelp but I want to thank them for their awesome job. I have recently changed dentist because I moved to a different place in Seattle. I thought that I actually had a great dentist before and was really reluctant switching. I actually was wrong about the quality of my prior dentist as my full check-up revealed many decays and cavities. I was really surprised at first but I actually had terrible (and hard to detect) cavities. Dr Kitsis and his staff are very passionate and friendly. As I am curious of what people do with my teeth, they explained to me what they were going to do and then after what they did. They even took pictures to show me what has been removed. Finally they gave me great tips on how to prevent further cavities. At the end of my sessions, not only did I get my teeth cleaned and fixed but I also got a better perspective on preventing cavities that I did not have before. While I brush my teeth everyday, I did not have the right flossing technique (and also motivation). After watching the pictures of my removed cavities, I have now the motivation combined with the technique of flossing. I really recommend Supertooth Dentistry and another thing to know is that they are opened once a month on Saturday and have late afternoon appointments. Originally, I picked Supertooth based on their convenient location and I'm so glad I did!My husband and I both go to Supertooth and they really are wonderful. It's a small practice which allows for individualized attention. I never wait in the lobby for more than 2 min, everyone is so kind, and Dr. Kitsis remembers his patients! The atmosphere is very pleasant and squeaky clean, plus they always give dental goodies at the end of an appointment. In terms of dental care, I am very pleased with my yearly check ups and my twice a year cleanings. Hygienists are great and work gingerly and Dr. Kitsis goes over all the changes in your teeth over the past 6 months if there were any. He is attentive and answers questions thoughtfully. I should say that going to the dentist is a high anxiety experience for me. What can I say...I don't like people in my head. Because of that I have always needed gas when I went for cleanings (yes, for cleanings...I'm a wuss). Armed with my iPod and earbuds, I would surrender twice a year and I hated every minute. Then my insurance forced me to change dentists. Divine intervention (via google) brought me to Supertooth Dentistry. I no longer dread the visits, gave up the gas, but still crank up the music on my iPod (just in case). But I have to tell you, it's because I'm a big baby because the care I receive when I visit Supertooth is nothing short of amazing and there's no reason for me to be tense anymore -- they're the best. Supertooth has the kindest staff, the most gentle and professional dental assistants (and fast!) and the greatest dentist who gets me, is cutting edge and knowledgeable, makes me laugh and has always been available for my calls between visits (I was taking a supplement that was turning my teeth gray and panicked!...Dr. Kitsis called me back right away, gave me great counsel and provided me with options). BTW, my previous dentist was preparing me for some big work (aka oral surgery), but Dr. Kitsis told me it was work I didn't need. THAT'S my kind of dentist! I haven't written a review in a while, got sort of tired of writing about every single place I've eaten at. I felt compelled to write a quick bit about my new dentistry. I had a nightmare experience with my last dentist so it was way too long since I'd been. An 11 year old crown finally broke in one of my front teeth so I had to get it fixed fast. From the point of setting up my initial appointment to now being the proud owner of a new permanent crown, everything about my experience was first class. Heather the office manager/receptionist was super nice and helpful, Tricia the DA was sweet and professional making sure I was comfortable, and Dr. Kitsis is the best dentist I've ever been to. He tells you everything he is doing and why he is doing it, in plain terms. You are not pushed into anything unnecessary and everything they are charging for is itemized, they explain what insurance covers and doesn't very plainly. I was never uncomfortable or in any pain through my three visits here (temporary crown install, permanent crown molding, permanent crown install). This will be my forever dentistry. After leaving my dentist appointment yesterday evening it dawned on me just how happy I am with Supertooth as a dentist and that I have been for several years now. This is a big feat considering what drew me to write my very first ever Yelp review was a bad experience at a different dentist. Supertooth, however, has been nothing but wonderful since my first visit years ago. My first several appointments were anything but fun; they were for intense cleaning and then the redoing of nearly every single filling I had ever had previously. Still, even with that horror it was a very pleasant experience as Dr. Kitsis asked me what could be done that would make the experience better and then provided me with a prescription to soothe my nerves during the many appointment process. Subsequent visits have been less intense and still just as pleasant. Everyone is super friendly and they thoroughly and thoughtfully explain everything. I appreciate the evening appointments and I love how I can communicate with them via text if I need to change an appointment.
