It tries to be those things and fails in all. The layout: It's a long narrow room. The stage is on the smaller far end. The tables are arranged going back along the long direction. If you're sitting more than halfway back you'll be disappointed in the seating. In the back are high-top tables which are very small. The "bar" is along the long wall. The "restaurant" is catered food ( I don't think the venue has a kitchen). It's arranged buffet style on portable tables in the lobby. You go in a line and chose your dinner and they hand it to you in a plastic to-go container. You eat at your table and then bus your leftovers and trash to the trash can. There is no wait service. Just like eating at a fast food restaurant. If your sitting at a small high-top table there's not enough room for more than two people to eat. You'll be seated with strangers and they'll be right in your face as you eat. The "bar" only has beer and wine for alcohol. Or you could get a canned mixed drink. Stand in line and wait your turn at the end of the bar. The bar seats are reserved for the show. Remember no wait service. So if you want a drink during the show you have to go to the bar. Music was not Jazz. Very slow, boring folk. The crowd was 70+ year olds. And they charge for this experience? Won't be going back.

If you hate cheap drinks, don't come! If you hate country music, don't come! Otherwise, go there!!! This place reminds me of old-school fun bars back in the eighties where dancing--and a bit of drinking--are the highlight of your week! All ages are there from 5:30 to 9:30! Seriously!!! From 21 to 99!!! After 9:30, it gets a bit too loud and busy for me, but that's not the club's fault. I just can't take too much partying anymore. lol' Highlights!!! No cover before eight--unless it's a holiday. Drinks are crazy cheap before eight. Free two-step, country swing classes Wednesday and Saturday at 6:30 Free line dancing classes all night--just watch and learn. People are so fun and friendly. They'll help you. There's also pool tables off to the side...and get this--barstools and tables!!! Yep, they actually allow you to sit down unlike all those clubs in Scottsdale that charge you to rent a table. Anyway, if you like to dance and listen to country music, you have to check out Denim and Diamonds!

Ambiance 5/5 Lighting works wonders and the Halls upgrades focused on sound & stage lighting which they did well. The Hall audience seating included rows of general seating and VIP Seating tables near the stage. The Venue definitely has the concept vibe. Menu 2/5 Food options were limited, snacks, beverages, personal Pizzas etc. There also was a bar setup outside on the back patio for cocktails and soft drinks. There really wasn't any place to eat unless you had a VIP table. Stage performance 5/5 Our seating was perfect up front. The Band does a fantastic performance the instrumentals were spot on. The bands Vocals were well done minus Joe Walsh's songs. How do you pull off his sound? We also enjoyed the Journey cover band Voyager Which was an excellent performance and finally the Comedic Nun show "Midnight Gretchen". Great intimate Venue.

After I paid $25 for my nonrefundable tickets , I saw they were only $10 on Goldstar. Concert hall had no carpet or other sound absorption. I don't know what the building was before, but I am giving 3 stars because there are only 3 women's bathroom stalls for seating for 500 people, 1 in the front I. Foyer and 2 stalls down the hall to the left of the stage. Of course there was a line of women, and no line for the men. Parking was free and not a problem, all around the building. Both Eagles Tribute and Beatles Tribute performances were worth my $25 each, but would have been more satisfying for $15 (includes $5 in the usual ticket fees) through Goldstar. I can only speak to it as a bar & music venue, not sure if they have food items. It's a great, small intimate space to see an artist you know well or discover something new. Last time we were there was to see one of our favorites, Black Pistol Fire, this past spring. We love that band and have seen them perform many times, we were happy they played at crescent. They have such great energy during shows and the lead singer always gets into the crowd, last time he went over to the back bar and played guitar on it. Was pretty awesome! This recent time we went to see rapper Intuition from LA. He was opening for Wax & Dj Hoppa. They were new to me, but it was a great hip hop show. Generally the sound is good in the venue and they have a bar up front with some seating. Behind the curtain where the stage is, there's a bar back too. There are also bleachers but I usually don't sit on them, but they are there if needed. Cocktails are like regular bar prices, and good thing, they are quality drinks. I had the whiskey sour and old fashioned. Both were very good with quality spirits. At $16, they should be good and not some afterthought cocktail. They also have beers on tap for like $8. I'll definitely be back for another show at some point. Until then, cheers!

Had a great afternoon with friends this time around. The service was friendly and efficient, the beers were nice and cold, and the burgers were scrumptious, especially paired with their steak fries, which I really enjoy. Like my previous visit, the only challenge here is the food line, which can get very long. We got lucky and arrived just before the queue exploded. Overall, still a fantastic spot to gather with friends, enjoy the outdoor vibe, and soak up a beautiful Arizona afternoon -- just try to time your visit before the big rush. Saluti.

There's a small bar if that's how you roll, but you can't actually sit AT the bar. The Nile has a variety of bands from punk, metal, pop, etc. These aren't the musicians selling out stadiums, so the shows are affordable and you can see the bands! The plus side is these are the bands I want to see. Buy something from the band's merch table so they can afford to tour. This venue has a clear bag policy, which is becoming the norm these days. Security uses the ol' metal detector wand and pat down your pockets with it. The guy tapped my pocket with it and asked 'what's this?' and I showed him my chapstick. I didn't need to take off my shoes though. I will say I haven't seen an fights or issues with the crowd during the shows I've been to. This is a good venue to see bands and you can even take your kids! One thing I've come to appreciate in my older age is a clean bathroom, and the Nile's need some attention. If you need to sit due to biology or otherwise, make sure you go before you go.
