Several months ago I took the Super Shuttle to Reagan National Airport from a hotel in Virginia not far away. I made a reservation online. They left an automated voice mail the day before to remind me. I had an early flight and planned lots of time to get to the airport early, so I scheduled my pick-up quite early in the morning. The driver arrived early and waited until the appointed time, was courteous, drove well, and did not make small talk. His English was understandable, and he answered my questions. The vehicle appeared to be well maintained in exterior and interior. I was the only passenger, so we drove directly to Reagan with little early morning traffic to deal with. I'd give them less than five stars if I could find something to fault about the experience, and I do believe the other reviewers that had bad experiences. But in my particular situation, everything went fine, and I'd use their services again if I needed to plan another flight that was too early to take the Metro to. read more

On September 18, 2017, my wife and I used your service to go from Stow, Ohio to Cleveland Hopkins Airport. The van that transported us arrived on time and we arrived at the airport approximately 45 minutes later. Those were the satisfactory parts of the experience. The van had 269,000 miles on the odometer. The check engine light was on. The tire warning light was on. The fuel warning light was on and the fuel gage read empty. There was no air conditioning. The interior smelled of cigarettes and body odor. My wife and I have traveled to third world countries and this is, by far, the worst cab be have ever encountered. David Miller On the first day this was posted, someone from SuperShuttle contacted me to get more details. I emailed them right back with the information and have not heard anything since. Does anybody care?? How long does this take?? read more

THE WORST!! DO NOT USE! Told us they'd be 15 mins late, called back to say actually 20-25, then after 20 mins called and said he'll be there in 15. Wish I read The reviews prior to reserving. I'm only giving 1 star because I have to!! & the driver was a good guy. read more

I've only used SuperShuttle once and while it was not amazing I felt like I got what I paid for. I was going on a twelve day trip out of Dulles, so being able to park my car at a friend's house in Falls Church and taking SuperShuttle saved me quite a bit of money over leaving my car in long term parking or taking a cab from Falls Church. SuperShuttle got me where I needed to go but I'm glad I budgeted plenty of time because they are not fast or particularly punctual (I think I was picked up 45 minutes after my scheduled pick up time.) It's less convenient than parking at the airport but for a longer trip it's also much cheaper. Like I said, you get what you pay for. read more

Hubby and I used SS for transportation from Dulles to downtown DC. To begin with the single clerk on duty was extremely rude to all customers. We were the first in a long line of customers waiting to use their services and instead of acknowledging our presence and asking us to wait, he ignored us and continued to shout numbers out (obviously at previous customers waiting to be sent to a shuttle). Once these customers acknowledged that their number was called, he shouted at them "Come up here!" and then told them to head outside to their assigned van. After 10 minutes of standing in line, I commented to my hub that we 'must be invisible.' The clerk shouted to me "Do you see I'm the only one working here?!" Those who know me, know that I don't tolerate rude customer service and I proceeded to tell him he was rude. He continued to argue with me and even threatened to walk off the job! What a loser! Once we were finally jammed into a shared shuttle and ready to pull out, the driver decided to stop and allow another family of four, ordering one passenger in to the front passenger seat and cramming the rest of us together to make room for this family. Traffic was horrid due to construction (not the service's fault) but our driver felt the need to "entertain" the entire van with his blaring XM radio playing reggae music, singing along loudly and banging the steering wheel. Once we arrived in downtown, our driver did little to organize our drop-offs in any logical format and appeared to be lost most of the time (even with GPS). He also drove like a maniac which added more stress to an already stressful trip. When I called Super Shuttle customer service to report their desk clerk, I told the customer service representative that I would most likely book our return trip to Dulles with them because "one employee doesn't represent the whole company." However, after the disasterous trip to downtown, we will splurge and spend twice their price and take a cab. read more

Scheduled rides to and from the airport approximately a week in advance. Yet, I still had to wait 20+ minutes to leave the airport. This wasn't that big of a deal however when I found out taking a taxi would have been faster and cheaper to my hotel then I was obviously disappointed. Since I had already booked and paid for my fare from the hotel back to the airport I decided to give them one more try. The second trip was even worse then the first. They told me that had to pick me up by 4:52 AM (flight wasn't until 7:45) in order to get me their on time and pick up any additional passengers (airport was only 15 minutes away from my hotel) and although the window of pick up was from 4:52-5:07 I didn't get picked up until almost 5:20. Like I said before, taking a cab would have been easier, faster, and cheaper so that's what I plan on doing next time. read more

I used this service twice; the ride from Reagan Nation to my hotel in the ExecuCar Sedan Service and the Shared Van Shuttle from my hotel back to Reagan National. Both were great experiences. Both drivers were prompt, friendly and polite. The cars were clean and the experience was positive. Booking online was quick and easy. I would recommend this service to anyone. read more

I travelled from Silver Spring to Dulles on the shared shuttle service. Very satisfied for that type of reservation, and I would recommend it. The driver was on time, very friendly and courteous, drove safely. Being able to confirm the reservation in advance (unlike the ride-sharing apps) was a plus. read more

I should have known better. We were picked up late from the airport by an indifferent driver who barely spoke to us. On our return day we called twice to confirm our pickup time and place. We had a 2:45 pick up time so we were out in front of the hotel at 2:20. Embassy suites is on a one way street. We stood there with the doorman and at about 2:40 we could see the van stopped near the Renaissance hotel nearby. At 2:45 we see it heading up Massachusetts Avenue , it didn't turn at 10th but we still thought we would be next, but it kept going and on the app it says "trip complete" so we called and got through and dispatch says we weren't there and would have to pay again if we wanted a ride. We prepaid so this guy even got a tip, luckily the doorman helped us get a cab which cost us less . Contacted super shuttle they said gps said he was there...yeah close but no. Get a cab, or a lyft, Uber save yourself the aggravation and money read more

A couple of days ago I sent this note about my experience to SuperShuttle customer service: I am unclear as to the purpose of pre-booking my ride when I had to wait over an hour for the shuttle. The desk agent was completely uncommunicative about wait time or any updates. Several people with no reservations at all came and went while my prearranged ride took forever to show. A little bit of communication would have gone a long long way. The response I got? A canned, in-the-box response full of excuses that they must send to everyone. It did not address any of the specifics of my situation nor provide a single ounce of apology or regret. Not going to use them again! I'd rather walk. Spent the rest of my trip using Lyft - better service, super fast, nice people, and less expense. read more

0 stars! 1st they scheduled me for a pick up, never having been here before I took their suggested time, I arrived at the airport over 2 hours before my flight, at 4 am for a 615 flight, security wasn't even open, there was no reason for this early arrival. On top of this absurdly early suggested time, the driver arrived 15 mins before scheduled at 340 instead of 355am, which would be fine except, I answered my cell, it was an automated message, when I did not appear on the lobby 2 mins later he went inside and had the desk call my room, waking 2 other guests who had no need to be woken. This was a horrible way to start my day, all so they could fill a van (3 other passengers) instead of sending one when I really should have been picked up, I won't use this service again. read more

I usually use Supershuttle in major cities to get from airport to my hotel with good success until today. I took the shuttle from Dulles to Chevy Chase. Actually I am an hour and fifteen into the ride with another 20 minutes to go. Traffic light by DC standards. I have pretty much seen all of SC between Dulles and Chevy Chase. The DC Supershuttle out of Dulles is run by idiots. Only nice thing about this ongoing trip is the driver is polite. read more

I had a horrible experience at DCA. Despite the fact that I reserved well ahead of time it took roughly fifty minute for the van to come. The last fifteen minutes, they asked us to wait outside by the curb, because the driver is coming 'anytime' and mind you this was after Christmas in near freezing temperature. When I complaint with their customer representative, they appeared as if they did not care. Even though super shuttle markets itself to be within a thirty minute range, they said that waiting up to an hour is normal, and nothing to complain about. The metro would have been more reliable! read more

Horrible service. Horrible driver. Well over 20 mins late for a pick up with no call to the customer. Corporate "disconnected" me before I could get an update. If you're in the DC Metropolitan area, take an Uber. read more

Worst ever. Never again never again. I do not usually complain however I thought it was a must in this case. My pick up time was for between 5.55pm and 6.10pm driver turned up at about 5.45pm. I thought I would be getting into a mini van. However I was squashed into a sedan type car, if they say shuttle you think you would get a shuttle not a car. Customer service was terrible driver was shocking and I actually to be honest did not feel that safe. We made it in time to the airport but we were cutting it fine and I almost did not make my flight. Take my advice and do not ever get a super shuttle. You have been warned!! read more

It took two hours to get to Capitol Hill from Dulles on a Thursday afternoon, but it didn't have to. The driver slavishly followed his GPS, like it was a company policy. He did not plan the drop offs well so we drove up and down 14th Street NW during rush hour. Literally going in circles. We were captive and helpless to a novice driver who couldn't or wouldn't use his words. We almost got out to take a cab. read more

Used super shuttle twice. 1st time was when metro was shut down, since I choose shared ride it took over an hour to go what would take 20 minutes in the future they should have more drivers when metro is shut down which happens rarely. Used it 2nd time early morning flight, updates were great! read more

Awesome experience. Booked online late the night before. They arrived a few minutes early. Only one other rider when I rode on a Wednesday at 7:30am. Got to the airport early. What more could you ask for? read more

EXPENSIVE AND TAKES 3 HOURS! Only use Super Shuttle if the DC-Dulles metro bus is not running! It took me around 2 hours max to get to the airport using the Metro Rail and 5A bus. It took upwards of 3 hours using the SuperShuttle door-to-door from Dulles to downtown DC. They waited for a solid hour for the entire van to fill up, and the driver got lost at every single address and ended up driving around the block a lot. I don't mind waiting, but if I am paying $30 instead of the $6 for the 5A bus, I expect it to get to my destination FASTER and with LESS HASSLE, rather than the other way around. I have used the Super Shuttle in LA, and it only costs $15 and gets you there in 45 minutes or less. Not sure what the problem is in DC. read more

Got picked up from DCA after my flight was already delayed an hour and our driver William Fox just left myself and three other passengers he had picked up at other terminals in the van for 20min. He said be right back and then came back after 20minutes and said sorry for the wait. What the heck super shuttle!!! I get that we have to make lots of stops to keep the prices low and I'm ok with that but seriously this is outrageous! read more

So pleasantly surprised! I had read the poor reviews and really worried that I'd made a mistake. (I was once abandoned at the airport overnight by Super Shuttle on Christmas Eve in NYC a few years ago, so I had reason to worry.) I always take the Metro if I land at the right time. As my flight was about to take off, I received an email from Super Shuttle about checking in as I landed, and as I landed, I received a text. I checked in on the go from luggage claim and was able to walk right out to my van. The driver was incredibly polite and checked in on everyone about comfort - leg space, temperature, seat belts, etc. - before we left. We're on our way into D.C. now, but I now expect to get in to my apartment much sooner than I originally thought. I'm impressed! I had to write this because so many people write only when the experience is negative. This has been great. read more

I have been using this service for about 7 years but the last time they did not even show up!! I waited and waited and no one showed up! I called them and they told me that my shuttle had been waiting outside and left after 2 minutes!! I always get a call and so I didn't think I would have to wait outside in the 40 degrees weather for it to come!! Especially when sometimes they come like 20 minutes or more late!! They said that it was half a mile a way and to go back outside and wait and it would turn around and get it. I waited 20 minutes in the cold 40 degrees weather when I decided to call back. They NOW told me that it was never coming that I was a "non-show-up" and so too bad! The dispatcher raised her voice at me numerous times and said she had called me and left messages. NOT TRUE! I called my cell phone provider and I have ZERO incoming calls or messages during that time!! I finally had to flag down a cab after another 20 minutes of the customer service screaming at me!! I almost missed my flight and they double charged me even for the tip I had pre-paid online even though no service was rendered!!! TAKE A CAB!!! read more

If you think getting picked up 45 minutes after your scheduled "pick up" time from your house and fretting all the way to airport is great, read more... I arrived with barely a few minutes to spare to get my bags on the plane. The drivers excuse was that he had to pick up people in Baltimore first. I was going to Dulles Airport in Virginia and live about 20 minutes from the airport! To pick people up that were coming from Baltimore and not have a better idea of how long it will take them to reach me (atleast one hour) was irresponsible. My reservation was obviously tacked on to save costs for the company. I thought that was already bad service from Super Shuttle, but it got worse. It took 2 hours to get to my house in Maryland from BWI Airport on the way back. If I did the drive myself it would take 35 minutes. There was no traffic, but they gave the driver such a ridiculous route for 4 people. One of the 4 people lived 5 minutes from my house. The other 2 people lived in complete opposite directions incredibly far away! The driver was complaining to someone on his cell phone about the crazy route he had been given to take us all home. I contacted Supershuttle to voice my concerns and they sent me a generic email saying they would look into the matter and get back to me. Never heard from them again! read more

DON'T USE THEM!!! Getting to the airport is ok (they will be 15-20 minutes late), but going home from the airport will be a nightmare. Even though you make a "reservation," you'll wait 45 minutes at the very least after you check in. It seems like they make no attempt to get you a driver until way after you've checked in. I've taken them twice and that's always their M.O. Just look at the other reviews. As I type this, I've been waiting 50 minutes (and counting) past my reservation. Once you get your shuttle the service will be lack luster. I've never had a driver open the shuttle door for me or offer to help me with my bags, even though they've done that for other passengers sharing the shuttle. Not sure if it's because I've been traveling alone and they think I should be able to manage on my own or what. read more

Been waiting 40 min for our shuttle. After a long flight it's a bit ridiculous. They keep telling us we're on the next shuttle but three shuttles have come and gone without us so far. What a joke! Also they were 15 min. early on out pickup a few weeks ago and almost left without us, even after we said we were on out way down. (He parked very far away from our apartment so it took is a while to find him) Next time will pay the extra for a cab. read more

I usually take Uber to/from airports as I travel a lot for work, but we booked a SuperShuttle today while traveling with 6 other family members. Even though we booked ahead of time and checked into SuperShuttle right after getting our luggage, we are still waiting for our shuttle over an hour. Would NOT recommend! EDIT: once the vehicle arrived, the driver left us in a hot vehicle without any AC, and was talking on his cell phone (with dispatch, he said) while we baked in the car. SUGGESTION: if you can't provide a vehicle within a reasonable time, that's just bad customer service. read more

Waited almost an hour for a shared ride home. When the driver arrived, he drove very aggressively, cutting off other drivers and we ended up clipping another passing vehicle. Our driver didn't seem to care and continued to drive recklessly. As passengers complained about how long we all had to wait, the driver continues to say all drivers work as contractors and most own their own vans. And they pick and choose what rides to take. This may be a contributing factor to long waits and poor ride coordination. I will not use super shuttle again. read more

I usually don't write reviews but my service was so horrible I would be wrong not to. I reserved  2 Super Shuttle Non-Stop Van's (roundtrip) for our family trip which consisted of 14 people. My family and I returned last night from Cancun to Dulles Airport, I checked into  the Super Shuttle from the app after we received our luggage. Once we arrived at the Super Shuttle Airport pick up  area  we waited about 15 minutes before asking  the Super Shuttle representative how long it would be before our vans would come, he stated about 15 minutes they were getting gas. After waiting about  another 15 to 20 minutes the first van arrived (vehicle#1039). At this time it  was after midnight and everyone wanted to go home. So I put my  handicap parents, my niece and her toddler son, my brother and his wife on the first van.   This is when everything goes totally downhill. After waiting another 15 to 20 minutes after the first Van's departure still no second van, the Super Shuttle representative continues to say that the driver was gassing up but they were in the Airport Facility. Van #1049 pulls up, we asked the attendant if he was our  van and he didn't know so my sister-in-law walks over to the passenger side window and asks the driver  if he was there to pick up the Michelle party, the driver then states that he hadn't been assigned a job. At 1:14am I received the following text message; Status Update: You are assigned to vehicle #1049. Guest #646 Vehicle Locator  locator.SuperShuttle.com/?trip=MTA1MjM4ODkz The driver of vehicle#1049,  Mr.Hugues loads all 8 of our luggage, I buckle my 1 year olds car seat in and we  load up on the van. While  driving away the driver is on the phone with his dispatch he starts to explain to us Super Shuttle is going to charge him $50 if he didn't pickup another passenger so he tells us he is going to unload my family to take another passenger home. I then explain to him that I received the text message stating he was our vehicle and we weren't getting off. He then explains it's not his fault he has to do whatever dispatch state's or he won't get paid for the ride. Mr.Hughes then said we weren't going anywhere stops the vehicle takes the keys out of the ignition and walks away from the van. I then call customer service and they then transfer me to dispatch. Brittney ( the Supervisor) proceeded to tell me that there were 2 another passengers that had been waiting longer then us and that he had to take them. I explain to her that I received the text stating he was our assigned vehicle she then stated that the driver had declined the other 2 rides when he wasn't supposed to, my reply was that is not my fault. I let her know that my family and  our lugage was already loaded and we were driving away when he stopped the van. Brittany then states he never told her we were already loaded on the van and that he could take us, at this point it is about 1:30-1:40AM. Mr.Hughes puts 1 of the 2 passengers waiting  in a Uber. The second  passenger was explaining to us how he had been traveling all day and asked us if he could ride with us he was right in Upper Marlboro, we agreed. Mr. Hughes then gets in the vehicle and tells the other gentlemen he would have to get out because they were sending other van for him. The gentlemen asks him how long will the van take and he  responds with I don't know. The gentlemen then tells Mr.Hughes he would like to ride with my family, we were both going in the same direction and we both agreed it was fine. Mr Hughes  said he has to do what dispatch states, my brother then suggested Mr.Hughes to call dispatch and have the gentlemen added to the ride. Needless to say we arrived to our destination around 2:30AM.  There are no words to explain how horrible this company is, you could not pay  us to use there services again. I will be calling the corporate office. read more

Notified less than an hour before trip that no vehicle was assigned. The next call told me I was being connected but the IAD operator was busy with other calls and I would be again on hold. Terrible service for anyone on Arlington! We were dropping people off by the capitol and I noticed he had my address wrong. I corrected him then wad told we will drop all dc people off then go to Arlington. At this point we proceed to go all the way up to tenleytown in rush hour. Needless to say I will be calling for a refund because this route was not thought through and I did not get home until two and a half hours later! This is the first time we used Super Shuttle. Do not use Super Shuttle if you are disabled! My husband is disabled and needed help with his luggage. When making the reservation, I explained that to the representative. The representative cheerfully understood and said, "Absolutely." She did not share any stipulations regarding how our request was going to be handled. When the driver came, he called. I told him that my husband was disabled and needed help with his luggage. The driver hung up! I called him back, and he did not respond. Then, the driver called me back and said, "We don't do that." I helped my husband with the luggage myself. When I saw the driver, I reiterated, "My husband was disabled and could have used your help." The driver said nothing. I called Customer Service. The representative told me to hold a couple of times and then informed me, "We do not provide that service. You can request it, but it is not a requirement." For abled people, it is not a requirement! So, please take note. If you or someone you know is elderly, disabled, in pain, or needs assistance to get to the airport, don't use Super Shuttle. If you are a woman traveling alone, DO NOT USE THE SUPERSHUTTLE from Dulles airport!!!!! I don't scare easily, I've traveled a lot, I think I'm pretty aware of my surroundings. BUT--the drivers of the SuperShuttle vans have frightened me on more than one occasion. I've used them 3-4 times over the past several years, thinking they might get better, but no. I;ve learned my lesson. I will never use them again. This last time, I arrived at the airport around 8 and went directly to the SuperShuttle spot, where I had a reservation but still waited about 10-15 minutes while the dispatcher waited for additional passengers to fill up the van. When none appeared, the driver came over to me--obvioulsy perturbed at having only 1 passenger--and ordered me to follow him, not even making an attempt to help with my luggage (having just come from Turkey where people are so respectful and helpful, I couldn't help but notice this rude behavior). Then he started driving west of where I actually live. I kept my tongue for awhile, trying to figure out how to word "Where the hell are you taking me?" in a nice way. Finally, I said, "Ummm, you know I live in Burke, right?" He replied, "Of course I know where I'm going! Shut up and let me drive!" As he continued to head west and south to Manassas, I texted my son to come outside the house to meet me when we arrived as I was a little afraid of him. I should probably have demanded that he drop me off at the nearest gas station or grocery store, but didn't think of that at the time. Naturally, he missed the turn into my cul-de-sac and then couldn't find the address on my house. When we pulled up at my house, he saw my son and immediately began speaking in a "best pals" kind of voice. He didn't get a tip. Those African guys are horrible to women. read more

The shuttle arrived a few minutes early and that was fine. The driver was very nice and friendly. He went out of his way to accommodate me.

Oh okay; some bad experiences here, apparently...? Not me. As for myself, knowing I am about to board a flight I MUST not miss; in this day and time of TSA issues, flight delay issues, etc. I booked this shuttle to pick me up over 4 hours in advance of my actual flight. Unlike these other reviewers, I fully acknowledged this is not a special(and thus expensive) taxi/limo service where I am the one and only special customer. There are others to pick up(you are not notified as to how many), and this service is there for them and not just me!! Hence, I may be taken off course somewhat(or even significantly) in order to accommodate these other customers, DUH which is why it is so CHEAP. From Takoma Park to DCA for such a low price is outstanding. Add to that the icy conditions of the particular day plus the fact Maryland drivers are complete MORONS under these conditions, and the driver was so professional dealing with such stupidity was very impressive. No seriously-- you East Coast people need to learn to deal with ice and snow--you drive like frightened yet angry CHILDREN. Also, learn to schedule your life, or have the money to pay for a more specific and personal service. I was at the DCA long before my boarding time, thanks to SuperShuttle, and my ability to schedule myself as an adult. I will avoid you East Coast people in winter from now on if it is at all possible, because SuperShuttle had the only driver who seemed to know what he's doing under icy conditions. I had great service from the Dulles Airport today. After an awful flight (cramped seat, baby crying right behind me), I just stepped up to the Super Shuttle counter and they checked me in using just my last name in about a minute. The attendant gave me a boarding pass and called me when it was time to board, and the driver dropped me off at my hotel after a smooth and safe ride. I made the reservation online a couple of weeks before the trip (quick and easy), and added a tip in when I paid. So today, I didn't have to worry about a thing: It was a breeze getting from the airport to my hotel. read more

Before starting, difference between a taxi and super shuttle was only $5 based on my destination. And last time my ride from my residence to the Airport was on time. This was a horrible experience from the Airport back to my residence. And I will not be riding with them again not recommending them to anyone. I started with the check in process and I was immediately assigned a driver. As I've waiting for the driver, I noticed in the map they provided the driver isn't moving. So I requested an ETA. Then after another 20min wait, I was then assigned another driver. After waiting another 10 minutes, I was then assigned another driver. Total time waiting was over 40 minutes when there were plenty of shared Vans available waiting to pick up. Did I mention that I was in a 6 hour plane ride and it was around 9.45pm for my arrival time? So yes, even small wait times and delays matter when you are trying to get home to shower and sleep. I requested that my reservation be cancelled because the wait was unacceptable. They said unfortunately it cannot be because I was past the cancellation window. Fortunately I was assigned a good driver, Clyde Bailey. He was professional and a gentleman. He is the only reason I am giving super shuttle 2 stars versus one star. But I won't be riding super shuttle again. The $5 savings was not worth the 40+ minute wait. read more
