I used SuperShuttle today from Dulles to Manassas. Overall, it was a very positive experience. It was easy to book and they took me step by step when my flight arrived via text. My flight arrived during rush hour, which led to things being delayed. My driver was courteous and drove very safely. The only thing keeping me from five stars is the workers on the curb. They weren't rude, but when I had a question to be answered they didn't explain things well. Now that I've done it, it's not a big deal, but it was confusing for my first time. read more

8/11/20 Back when I had just finished high school, my sister and I had just gotten back from our new home in Geneva Switzerland and were pretty tired. We had prearranged a Supershuttle to take us back home. The guy who picked us up started out nice, but quickly showed his true colors shining through. I learned that night that if you want the cheap rate of using Supershuttle, you will be either picking up various customers at various locations before going to the airport. The same can be said if you are going home from the airport. Our driver started getting bitchy and his attitude got worse. He was rude to several passengers and ended up getting lost. One passager wished us the best of luck as she got out of the vichele. She did not tip the guy. A middle finger is what he got. When we finally got to our second home, we did not tip the guy either. When the drive acts like an ass and tell you to "shut the front foor." a royal ass wipping came mind. My short temper remained in tacked, but oh it would have been nice to watch him fly through the air and come down hard upon a bear. The bear would get mad and Jack would get off...okay I am losing sight of what I was talking about. Unfortunately there is not a -10 star rating I received my credit card and was amazed to see I was charged for a ride that never happened. We were abandoned at DCA with no assistance. I booked a Black Car Luxury service from these clowns and received nothing but trouble. A brief description of the service is a driver would meet us at the baggage claim then escort us to the waiting LUXURY SUV where we would be driven to our hotel. 4 of us arrived at Regan Airport, received a message that Abdou H. would greet us. No Abdou. Called Abdou, he was running late due to traffic. He called later asking us to meet at gate 6. Got to gate 6, no Abdou. Called Abdou, he insists he is at gate 6. Unfortunately, Abdou is at Dulles Airport. Called home office number explained problem, woman helping? us out said give her 5 minutes to arrange for another driver. 30 minutes later we call the home office and were on hold over 13 minutes, NEVER DID HEAR BACK FROM ANYONE. On the way to our hotel in a cramped stinky TAXI I received a satisfaction survey concerning the non-existent ride. Really?? So I call the number and am told I have to go online to get refund. I fill out a weak form and 10 days later with ZERO response from these clowns contact my Credit Card Company to stop Payment. Just received notice today of a refund... FINALLY!! Super shuttle in Gulfport , MS is not reliable. Had a 6AM flight and was to be picked up at 4:15AM At 4:30 with no show, I called and obviously woke the person up. They claimed a driver was on the way. After another 15 minutes we felt we could no longer wait so I advised the person and we took our own car, which cost at lot to park at the airport for 2 weeks. I have contacted Super Shuttle several times over the past month for a refund and have had no reply to any communication. Very disappointed in their service and response to the problem. I booked round trip private car transportation in July 2019 for a trip schedule in August. The day of our departure, we are waiting at the door only to have to call to the operator (no one called us) to be told that they had no available driver. We had to Uber (which should have been our first option) to the airport. Low and behold on the return trip home, no one even bothered to call us yet again...I called the operator and was told they MAY be able to get someone out. (12AM flight arrival) I cancelled and used Uber once more with no issue. Spend your money elsewhere...this service is DEPLORABLE!! **still waiting on the remainder of my refund to be sent. We had a horrible experience recently with SuperShuttle. Booked a ride for 3 AM to the airport; ride never showed. Ride dispatcher said that SuperShuttle never submitted the job to them so no car was coming. Ended up driving to airport and leaving our car there. I called SuperShuttle to cancel ride home since our car was now at airport. Representative apologized for their mistake and said I'd receive refund in 7-10 days. Called Customer Service after 10 days; rep apologized again and promised a refund in 3-5 more days. No refund received. I tried and tried to reach the main office to speak with a supervisor and was disconnected each time. Finally, lodged a dispute with credit card company and SuperShuttle lied to them and said that they provided service to us!!! I had to appeal to the credit card company who finally refunded our money. We will NEVER use them again and would recommend them to no one. Extremely frustrating experience. When I ordered the van at the transportation counter near baggage claim, the price was $87 total. Just now saw on my bank statement they charged me $102. Our group of 6 endured a delayed flight and therefore missed our connection from the Dulles airport to Ottawa. United Airlines' representatives booked us a ride with SuperShuttle from Dulles to the Reagan Airport to catch the last flight out to Ottawa for the night. It was truly an "Amazing Race" moment. We were in quite a rush so luckily the shuttle was on-time, however it took a while to actually get moving. Our group (plus another guy) was all seated ready to go but we were just sitting for several minutes before another passenger was brought aboard to fill the last seat in the shuttle. I totally understand that this was more efficient, but I can't stress enough how much every minute counted for us. The driver got us to the Reagan Airport safely (and in time) which is clearly the number one priority. However, it was NOT a comfortable trip. For some reason, our driver didn't allow us to crack open the back window even though our car was holding nine people - it was so stuffy! We asked him to turn on the air conditioning, which he did, but then the windshield fogged up. There was no "happy medium" between having the AC running at the same time as the defroster. I've never experienced this problem with other shuttle companies, so I'm not sure why this was even an issue. read more

I have used SuperShuttle before and it was a good service. However, my last time using them was pretty bad. I landed at 1am, went to the curb to be picked up, called the number texted to me and waited on hold for about twenty minutes. Then I was told that no car was coming to get me. What was the most frustrating thing about this is they weren't going to let me know. They had my contact info, they had previously sent me a message about where to wait, but had no intention of letting me know they weren't going to fulfill the service I paid for. It was especially frustrating given how late it was. They were did not provide the service I paid for, had no intention of communicating this to me and then were extremely unhelpful after the fact. This morning, I received a voicemail at the last minute from (Super Shuttle)saying that they didn't have a driver to take me to the airport. This forced me to cancel my flight because I had no other means of transportation at the last minute. This is totally unacceptable, and bad business. The company should shut down for this. Absolute WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. I booked my ride in advance on their website and I never got a confirmation for my first ride from the airport to my destination. No notifications, no tracking, nothing. I was left stranded at the airport at 2AM trying to flag down an uber. For my ride back to the airport, I received a confirmation text. I called my driver just for an eta (who seemed very annoyed), he was about 45 minutes away on the tracker 10 minutes before my pick up time. I called the driver again just to confirm because I didn't want to miss my flight, what he said was inaudible, he kept asking me defensively "are you trying to rush me? are you trying to rush me?!" Gave me NO updates on his whereabouts (app still showed 45 minutes away), and then he hung up on me. At this point I was fed up and just blew my money on an overpriced uber, which I also thought I would feel much safer riding in because of the convos with my supershuttle driver. Half an hour into my uber ride, shuttle driver calls me saying he's here after I try calling him to cancel the ride. Awful awful experience. For our Washington, DC leg of our trip, we stayed with a friend in Rockville, Maryland. In order to get from the airport (Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport) to our friend's home, it was recommended that we take SuperShuttle. Booking SuperShuttle on their website was easy, and they drive you straight to your destination, even if it is a private home. When you book the shuttle, you enter your flight information so that they have an idea of when to expect you. However, they don't have a shuttle waiting for you when you arrive at the airport; instead when you arrive you call to confirm your arrival, and a shuttle is dispatched. Booking a shuttle is just a guarantee that there will be a shuttle available to pick you up once you arrive at the airport. I can see how some people might not be please with this system, because who wants to wait half a hour if you've pre-booked a shuttle. But this makes sense to me, as you can never be sure of your exact arrival time when flying, and if your flight is delayed an hour or so, you don't have to worry about missing your ride. However, if your flight is delayed by several hours and you arrive late at night, they request that you call them to let them know. Our flight was delayed by three hours, and as a consequence, we would arrive at DCA after 11pm, not at 7pm as originally scheduled. So I called them to let them know, and the woman said that there are no shuttle pick ups after 10pm. I was issued a refund to my credit card with no problems (however, due to the exchange rates, I of course end up getting less than I originally paid -- grrr!), and when we arrived at DCA around 11pm, we saw a SuperShuttle booth, and found out that the 10pm cutoff was utter bullshit; the SuperShuttle booth was open, and there was a sign saying that they are open until 1am. (Thankfully we were able to book another shuttle--so it's not absolutely necessary to pre-book a shuttle, although you're not guaranteed a shuttle if you don't pre-book.) We also booked SuperShuttle for our ride back to the airport at the end of our trip, as they were the only option available to us to get to the airport for 6am (transit wasn't running that early, and the DC metro is so unreliable, I wouldn't have trusted it anyway). Other than the blatant LIE about not being able to get a ride after 10pm, I had no issue with their actual service. However, because of the lie (which caused me to lose a few dollars due to the exchange rate), I can only give SuperShuttle two stars. read more

Love the service from these folks! I booked a shuttle to the wrong airport by accident and they caught my mistake, calling me to help correct it. Awesome! The driver showed up a few minutes early and their automated system called to let me know that he was there. He was polite and friendly and he took an appropriate number of shortcuts and bypasses to get me from the hotel in Landover to DCA. His driving was acceptable. Much better option than trying to negotiate the Metro with two suitcases on the Monday morning after Thanksgiving during rush hour! I would totally use this service again! read more

My wife and I booked a ride home on the SuperShuttle app from IAD Airport. We collected our baggage and confirmed that we were ready for pickup. A few minutes later the dispatcher called, telling me that there were no vans available, so they would refund what we had paid ($51.74), and reimburse the cost of alternate transportation. We found a van service that charged $88.72, which is $36.98 more than what we would have paid for SuperShuttle. I did get the $51.74 refund, but they refused to reimburse the $88.72 promised by the dispatcher, even after I provided a receipt. Multiple emails to Customer Service were ignored. I finally spoke to April in the Phoenix office, who told me that the dispatcher was wrong, and that they never reimburse alternate transportation from the airport, even when they are at fault. I took super shuttle from Reagan international airport in DC this week. I cancelled my return trip to the airport and am happy to be paying twice as much for private sedan. My dissatisfaction in short: Rude, unhelpful, and disinterested drivers. Uncomfortable, dirty, smelly vans. Unsafe drivers. The drivers at the curb weren't helpful when I hadn't yet received a text with my van assignment. When I found my van I couldn't buckle the seat and the driver took off without ensuring we were all set or asking if we were comfortable. I was ignored when I tried to inform the driver that I could not buckle my belt. I was never asked for my name or reservation until we were out of the airport an hour later. If they had picked up the incorrect reservation I or someone else could have been sitting at the shuttle stop being ignored by other drivers who only answer your questions by telling you, "This isn't your bus!" The van was full of garbage from fast food joints and various personal items of the drivers. It smelt awful and was without sufficient air conditioning. It took us over an hour to get out of the airport because we picked up so many people. We were so squished together which was worsened by the hot humid weather and a whole lot of carry ons that didn't fit in the back. My knees were completely squished/jammed into the driver's seat such that my feet were actually under his seat! I have arthritis so this was a particularly painful position but there didn't appear to be a an easy solution as it would have entailed making another rider give up their minimally more comfortable seat to squeeze into mine AND about five people and all their stuff would have to have gotten out of the van to make this switch. I just hoped it wouldn't take too long to get to my hotel. Well it did take a long time! My twenty minute drive took an hour. I admit that I knew it might take longer as its a shared van, but I didn't anticipate a nearly two hour drive with all the pick ups at the airport. Two hours mind you, in a hot smelly messy van squished into the person next to you and the seat back in front of you as you make a bunch of stops to drop others off. Last but not least was the dangerous driving. Our driver ran two lights and failed to stop completely at stop signs. He drove too fast and hit the breaks too hard. So I'm happy to pay 35.00 for a clean exclusive direct ride with an attentive driver instead of 18.00 in a dirty shared van with an extra hour or two en route. I found a great driver during my stay and cancelled my return ride with Super Shuttle. It's a beautiful big black SUV with proper air conditioning and comfortable leather seats. The driver had cold water bottles waiting for me and was pleasant and professional. Completely worth the extra $17. I liked a few things including that they send you a lot of info about how to find your shuttle stop including a little diagram. That was really helpful. There was a gal that helped a woman from the Southwest terminal with ten pieces of luggage and baby things. This employee was friendly and working hard to help. read more

They do not believe me when I tell them it was a silver Buick Enclave. I have used Super Shuttle affiliates all over the country for airport to hotel travel. Just got out of the Super Shuttle van, and my recommendation is to avoid this service altogether. I bought the ticket when I landed in Dulles and though there were no less than 5 Super Shuttle vans lined up, I waited 15 mins in the terminal, and another 10 mins in the van. I finally got out of the van and walked over to where three drivers were congregated staring at my driver's cell phone. I asked him how long, and he said, "oh, okay, I'll take you now." It reminded me of what it's like when you vacation in the Carribbean and it's total chaos at the airport with shady cab drivers running around doing absolutely nothing. When we were finally underway, the driver had all the windows open despite the 80 degree temperatures. Since the wind noise was really loud, he kept turning up the top 40 radio station blaring dance music. He never once asked me or the other two passengers what we wanted to listen to, or whether the sound was too loud. I presumed that he had the windows open because the A/C was broken, but I don't think that's what it was. Instead, I smelled alcohol when he slowed to drop me off (the air wasn't flowing through the cabin so you could detect smells at that point.) So I think this guy was under the influence of alcohol (or was hungover from the night before.) Also, during the trip, the guy was texting and fiddling with the GPS which caused the van to swerve quite a bit. Last, the guy was dressed in dingy khakis and flip-flops. Not very professional. Super Shuttle isn't very Super, and while it's cheaper than a cab, it's not worth it since you have to wait so long to get going, and the guy is risking your life with erratic driving and breaking the law by texting. He was sitting in the airport will chair inside the airport. We could barely understand him when he spoke. He never could confirm when or if I ride would pick us up. When I called the customer service line I was told I needed to wait over an hour then call back if the ride did not show up. We waited and tried to work with the representative but he gave us no help so I called back and the representative told me to find another way home because they had no shuttles coming. I called prior to our flight taking off because we were expected to arrive approximately 30 minutes late just to ensure that our car was going to be there, I was assured that it would be. One word: Convenience This was our first time using the Supershuttle which we booked online. Rates were decent plus we added tip ahead of time when we booked so you they should help you with your bags which they did. It was cool! Upon arrival there were two other parties ahead of us. Going to our W hotel in Washington we were the first to be dropped off to our destination. Samething when there were also two parties ahead in the van on our (departure day) we were the first ones to be dropped off our jet blue terminal. I bet some people in our van was like WTF? " why were they the last to be picked up? and first to be dropped off?! " because you know why? We are just so coolio like that! Service was pleasant, the weather was cold tundra outside arriving and leaving on those days, the driver asked us if the heater was on too hot, we all said quietly no, no, no... not at all keep it warm. Later on I got too warm in the van I forgot to remove my heavy coat and then I got comfy. In real life they give false information, highest prices, and can care less about their customers. We purchased a shuttle transportation 2 weeks prior to our service need. Pick up was fine, however car was old and appeared to need some maintenance. Return transportation was horrible to say the least!!! First the company does not allow you to check in until you have picked up your luggage and made your way outside. They provided the wrong pick up location, once we arrived the agent check you in again, so doing it myself was really a waist of my time!!! After finally notifying the company of our expected pick up, we had to wait for an entire hour to discover that all their vans were at Dulles. I ended up canceling my service and catching a lyft. The driver, from the airport, dropped me at the wrong hotel. She also complained loudly about having to wait for me. Super Shuttle did not tell me in advance where, at the airport, I would be picked up. They instructed me to call a number when I arrived. I called and no one picked up the phone. When I finally got through, the driver was 6 exits away from where I was. I walked as fast as I could. At the exit, you could go up or you could go down. I went up and should have gone down delaying me further. Then she dropped me off at the Garden Inn Hilton; I was staying at the Crystal Hilton. I told her so at the time of drop off; she told me the Garden Inn was the Crystal Hilton. The driver who was supposed to pick me up at the hotel to take me to the airport did not pick me up. I missed two calls from him saying he was at the hotel. He kept saying he was at the hotel. I had been standing outside on the hotel curb for 10 minutes before his first call--it was loud which why I didn't hear the calls initially. Both times I called him right back and he wouldn't pick up the phone. He was probably at the wrong hotel. I finally called the main office and told them I was taking a taxi. First and last time using this service! Fort Collins, CO To the airport: 1.) Driver didn't show to pick me up. 2.) I had to wake my son up at 4 AM to have him drive me. 3.) Dispatcher told me they couldn't get a hold of the driver, I might want to look for another ride and then found out he overslept. From airport: 1.) I had to pay the drivers parking fee, they supposedly did not have cash. 2.) Had to ask the driver if they were stopping for gas as the light was on. Had to provide directions from my phones GPS to find a gas station as the driver was not familiar with the tablet. 4.) Driver finally started using the GPS, but instructed me that I would have to provide instructions once we got in to my hometown. The only positive is that the app was easy to use. Usually I am all for this service, however. The algorithm for pick ups is off. I was picked up early, but placed on a shuttle with people with flights an hour or more later than my own. This resulted in me barely making it to the airport To get thru security and to my gate. ( got there AT my boarding time!) I should have paid the $60 in airport parking for the stress and trouble. It seems unreasonable to try to allots an extra 1.5 hours into an already 2 hour cushion time. ....update..... customer service did respond to my formal complaint and compensated me for a portion of the trip. I had not previously had an issue with supershuttle. I booked an execucar (because thats the only option where I live and it was cheaper than parking wouldve been). Driver was supposed to pick me up this morning at 425. Knowing that navigation does wonky things with my address because its a new community, I added navigation notes to make sure they came ro the right place. A lot of good that did. He went to the same address in a town 20 miles away. Exactly the thing I noted not to do. Upper marlboro is not bryans road. After 30 minutes of trying to get the driver to my house, he was finally on his way, but still 30 mins away. I was going to miss my flight. I cancelled & ended up driving and parking. They did refund my $$ but here are the issues as to why I dont think that is good enough: 1. It takes 5+ minutes when you call to get to the part where you can talk to a human. There should be a more efficient way for people in the middle of a travel crisis to reach someone. 2. Clearly dispatch did not read the instructions. I am currently at the airport and may still miss my connections to Madrid. I have no idea how expensive its going to be. 4. Merely refunding what I paid does not absolve supershuttle of its responsibility in creating this situation that I am now stuck paying for. Yes, travel insurance and all that, but that will not cause any pain for supershuttle to fix its issues. So beware - if you have an address that navigation has issues with, dont do it. read more

Wow, looks like a lot of people had problems with no-show drivers! Mine was booked to pick me up in the wee hours of Dec. 19th for a 5 am flight. I was on the app watching the van, which did not move from its location for 30 minutes. During that time I texted the driver a few times and then phoned the company. I was on hold when I finally gave up and called Uber, which got me there with minutes to spare. Later I saw that my ride was "cancelled" so I was not charged. On the way home, I followed the texted instructions to the curb at the airport. It was a freezing night. I went back into the terminal where I found the Shuttle staff inside the door. It would have been nice to have that information rather than walking in the freezing wind looking for them. I did eventually get a ride home as scheduled. Don't depend on it. if your flight is late, they won't wait for you. They take your flight info when you register and you pay ahead of time. ( A required tip is included this.) They know when your flight arrives. So they took my prepaid fare and required tip and I had to pay for a taxi to get me home. read more

The scariest ride ever!!! Call a Lift or Uber. The driver kept driving slow in the left lane on the GW Parkway, but then kept swerving into the right lane... right into traffic. He also kept swerving into traffic for miles from DCA to Gaithersburg. He almost missed it exit! I wrote a report about the driver, but still haven't heard back for weeks!!! read more

The ride to our hotel from the Reagan/D.C. airport was interesting; rather than look at our boarding pass that clearly stated 'Fairmont Hotel' our driver took us to the Holiday Inn... What!!? Definitely not our error, as customers. Driver error? Booking agent error? Not sure. We ended up tipping our driver $10 extra because our driver did want to get us to the correct hotel and was kind enough to back track to take us there. Thankfully we booked a round trip ride. We were picked up on time at our hotel to head back to the airport 2 days after the initial incident. Great experience on the return back to the airport. Definitely cheaper than taking a cab; would use again, but the company's level of communication with booking agents and drivers seems to be a slight issue. read more

I'll give it a solid 3 stars. Traveling to Dulles from Silver Spring, I've found the shared van service to be quite good - partially because there is often only one pickup after mine, and partially because I like early morning flights so traffic isn't horrendous. Traveling from the airport back to my house is more dicey. I've had to wait the full 20 minutes, really late at night, while they wait to see of some other poor schmuck is going my way, and on the trips back I'm inevitably the last person dropped off. However, if you are coming from DC proper, I'd take the Metrobus from L'Enfant. Way more affordable and less stress - every Supershuttle I took in DC had 80 billion stops and really poor routing. read more

This company's customer service is horrible to say the least. I prepaid for a van so that I didn't have to wait after traveling for 9hrs !!! First, the company's app does not allow you to check in until you have picked up your luggage. Then, the app provided us the wrong pick up location (this needs to be corrected). Once we found the agent, he checks you in again so doing it yourself is a waste of time! After notifying the company of our arrival, finding the agent at the wrong door, we were informed that we had to wait an additional 20-25 minutes to be picked up. When van #1030 showed up, the driver was rude to my family and wouldn't take us. We asked why and he walked away.... He wouldn't even talk to the young man that was working to get us transportation home. He then returns to inform us that he "can do whatever he wants because he is an independent driver and SuperShuttle can not make him do anything" . His bad attitude reflects on the professionalism required by this company from its drivers.I would not have gotten in his van if he was paying me at this point. To wrap it up we took a Redtop cab whose driver was professional, courteous and as a result got a big tip. I will be using taxi or rideshare services from now on which can be pre booked as well! I will not be using a company with such low regard to customer service anymore for my transportation needs. Very Disappointed! read more
