He and his men showed as scheduled and trenched along the section of the wall where the problem was. When they were finished they replaced the soil, tamped down the ground and cleaned up leaving a professional job behind. To date, we have had no further leaking or water problems in the repaired area. I found Mr Turcotte to be an easy man to work with, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful.

Then sent me a text saying the same thing. And, after I responded, they doubled down and shamed me for using firewalls to protect our digital assets?? I communicate with hundreds of Clients, Vendors and Sub Contractors the same way every day and have NEVER had this kind of feedback. WHAT A BUNCH OF CLOWNS! These guys are a joke! Might be okay for a residential driveway or something... Maybe go back to asphalt and don't try to shame Commercial Construction Companies for IT Choices you don't understand or agree with?

Good thing I had the real truth on my Ring camera. If You question Joe, expect to get yelled at! He is not a nice man and I don't put up with that treatment.

I have never had to repost a negative review or felt the need to, but this business is one I feel everyone should avoid. In November of 2025, about a week after my family and I moved into our new home, we called A1 to get a quote for a chimney liner which is something we knew we would need when we closed on our house. Johnny came to our house, and after inspecting our chimney told us that we cannot use heat or hot water until the sleeve is installed because of the carbon monoxide being too dangerous of a risk. He tells us this as I'm holding my 4 month old daughter, he said it's dangerous and that we should open up the windows if we decide to take a hot shower because the risk is that imminent. He gives us a price of $6,000 which was more than double what we had thought it would be, but out of fear for our infant daughter, decided to pay the deposit. AFTER the $3,000 deposit, he tells us they can't be here for 2 weeks. No heat or hot water in November for two weeks? With a deadly level of CO2? Immediately after he left we felt not great about the situation and within the hour of him leaving we called to get a refund of our deposit and cancel our appointment, the receptionist told us they would get back to us next day. And then 10 minutes later, Johnny calls me on his personal phone and is very pushy and rude about how he "already ordered the materials and it's too late to cancel" and tells me for the first time that they will keep 30% of our deposit if we cancel. After an entire week of calling multiple times a day trying to get our money back, they finally call back. Well, Johnny calls me, and tells me I'm a liar and that he never made it seem like we were in danger and that he'll give us the deposit back but he's keeping the chimney cleaning fee even though they didn't clean the chimney. He also admits that it was only his "expert opinion on CO2 levels" and did not actually use a meter to read the levels anywhere in my home. Any company that uses fear and manipulation to book jobs should be shut down. We did end up getting the sleeve a few weeks later from another company, for $2,500. Do not ever work with this company. Not honest, overpriced, and unprofessional. I will continue to post my experience and if this gets taken down again, guess what I'll be back. Married name is Stanley in case A1 wants to comment "can't find your account with us" under this. ALSO we asked Johnny to look at our wood burning fireplace and he told us it would cost $3000 to do a special coating on the firebox so that it's safe to use because it's in really bad shape, when the company that did our chimney sleeve came, I asked him to look at the firebox to see if it was good to use and he said it looks like no one has ever used the fireplace it was in perfect shape. We enjoyed fires all winter long, with our money safe in our pockets.

They installed a gate entry system and fence around the perimeter of our home in 2012 and have done such a fantastic job, through every storm (even with downed trees) the fence is still as sturdy as the day they installed it. Most recently, they have also installed a pergola for us as well. We have recommended them to our neighbors and 2 of our neighbors used their services and have been absolutely thrilled with their service and durability. We can drive through the neighborhood and obviously notice who didn't use Cornerstone because their fences are coming apart and panels are failing. The most important part of a service provider to me is not only customer service but also having trust that the job will be done right the first time.

I recently bought several yards of "lawn-ready" soil to establish a lawn. The service was great…read morefrom purchase through delivery, and the soil looked good when it arrived. As I spread the soil, I removed as many twigs as I could, but I didn't realize many of them were actually roots from invasive plants. As the grass is starting to sprout, so are many bindweed and common mugwort plants. I'm trying to remove the entire root system as the weeds sprout, but many roots are buried deep in the soil and remain behind. At this point, I may have to destroy much of the new lawn to fully eliminate these invasive weeds. Very disappointing, and now I'm concerned this could turn into a long-term project. I'm not sure what Madison Earth Care could have done to prevent this, but it's something to be aware of if you plan to use this soil in your yard.

Mark slowly walked us through the whole process- what types of wood we could choose, coming to our house to do an initial look (free), and then setting up delivery AND installation of wood. The entire process was hands-free for my family. His installers were QUICK (two days!), friendly, and most importantly CLEAN (they left almost no sign they were there!). All the old stuff hauled away, AND they were able to move the big pieces of furniture around while installing! We had one other quote before going to South Broad, and I can say their price was extremely competitive (especially considering they are willing to move furniture).

The words that come to mind when I think of South Broad Paint & Home Center are...just don't. We…read morebegan our renovation in late April and were told it would take between 3 and 4 weeks. Now at the end of Week 9, we are finally able to begin using the kitchen. Our renovation consisted of a new floor, painting of the cabinets and walls, a new countertop and sink, dishwasher instillation, and instillation for 4 new (pre-finished) cabinets. In total, there were approximately 10 days over those 9 weeks when work was actually being done. Yes, you read that correctly. 9 Weeks, 10 days of work...that's 53 days of absolutely nothing! The rest of the time was spent tracking down the so called 'contractor' to find out who was coming to do what and when. After making an $8k payment, we were told the work would begin the following Monday. When Monday came and went without even so much as a phone call, we called to see what the issue was. We were told we were supposed to call when the wallpaper was taken down (we agreed up front to take it down on our end). If this were the only communication issue throughout the project, I would said say it was just a misunderstanding however, this was just the tip of the iceberg! The sub-contractor finally came, and they took up the old tile and laid the new. After a couple of days without a call or email, we had to reach out to the contractor again on next steps. This was the common theme throughout the entire renovation. We had to follow up each and every time with the contractor to get anything done. We also had to advise each of the sub-contractors on what they had to do as they arrived, they were not briefed before they got there. When the carpenter came to install the dishwasher (new to the space), he told us that when the countertops were put on, we'd never be able to get the dishwasher out. The reason for this being that the contractor never told the tile sub-contractor to take out the existing subfloor. Instead, they laid a new one over it raising the floor more than an inch! We were told that we'd have to raise the height of the cabinet to avoid having to take the countertop off down the line if the dishwasher needed a repair. This was something that could have been completely avoided had the contractor advised his team correctly. The contractor then tried to charge us approximately $400 for this work. Nearing the end of the project, it was evident that the ceiling had not been painted. We called, and the contractor said he'd call the painter to 'have him put another coat on'. When the painter arrived, he asked what was needed so we explained (as usual). He told us that the contractor never told him to paint the ceiling!' Every step of the way was nothing but a headache and it was obvious that we were 'small potatoes' for this contractor. The lack of communication and continuing empty promises made this process an absolutely nightmare. I would recommend this company only if you like the idea of being your own foreman!

Could the damage have be prevented? You bet it could have. In talking to Rob just now it was as if I was talking to a completely different person than the Rob that came out and "sold" the job. Was the work to the floors wonderful? Yes. Could the damage to the woodwork have been prevented? Yes. Did Rob listen to my suggestions about how to lessen or prevent the damage in the future? No. Did Rob offer to help repair the damage? No. Am I interested in referring Rob and Company? sadly, I can't - in light of Rob's highly argumentative behavior and unwillingness to see things from his customer's (me) perspective, I cannot give a thumbs up. It's a total lack of professionalism and common courtesy. Moreover, it's a hell of a way [not] to run a business! I see from reading through other reviews on here that I'm not the first and only customer to complain of this specific issue with this company. Beware! They will steal YOUR time! Update 6/7/26: They just proved my point by responding to this review 10 months after it was posted. It would seem that timeliness escapes these folks at every turn. Too bad their recall of the facts faded so much with the passage of time! I left my original review after a week elapsed between my reaching out via phone and text to both Tiffanie and John. The following morning at the start of business, Tiffanie began psycho-calling and texting me, leaving hysterical voice messages and sending repeated texts. Suddenly, she had plenty of time on her hands. I was forced to block their numbers in order to stop the harassment and to be able to continue with my own business day.
