No one showed up or called. Ray and Nathan showed up the following day and apologized for not calling . Ray then climbed on to the roof and did a thorough examination with photos. They submitted an excellent proposal. The price was reasonable. I requested one change and it was immediately added to the estimate and emailed to me. Several more issues developed before I signed the contract. I called Nathan. He told me he was driving and he would get back to me. He never did. I called Ray and suggested that the entire roof may need replacing. He promised to come out the following day. He never showed and never called. This company may do excellent work but the poor scheduling and lack of communication is a major problem for me. I won't be hiring them.

Error code on units showing no refridgerant, which means probanly a leak. Called that Monday for appt. Was told they are not on island t il Thursday, so took appt then between 10 and 12 arrival " but they will be there closer to 10" per customer service person. 1 pm to 2:30 pm multiple texts and phone calls to the owner and his CSR. No response from.owner and.CSR was in a meeting At 2:45 got a text they qere not coming today and woukd try agin early next week to get back on island. Temps were n in low 40s at night, 50s daily and i had no heat. Called Climate Care MV. Set up appt for 2 days later, but a guy frred up and was there at 7pm Ran tests, put in a dye came back 6 days later and detected the "Massive leak" in one of bedrroms. Called Senville, found out F&J had tegistered the unit with correct address and email but had someone elses name and phone.number, so we had to correct the registration Shipped unit in 2 days. Climate care installed, recharged, pressure tested and all was good to go with time to spare before 1st renters arrive. Will use Clmate Care moving forward as they are very reliable , thorough and on island. I woukd think twice about using a company for mini splits or any unit that may need routine servicing or emergency servicing that is based off island. Find an onnisland vendor. Sorry F&J but here we are 4 weeks later, no text email or phone call to apologize for completely failing a now former customer ​​

I met this company through AngiesList last year. I used them to complete an HVAC project at our…read morespa. The owner was unprofessional. When he started the project, he left the place messy and I had to clean up after him. All the equipment was all over the place, as you can see in the pictures. I had to collect them and clean everything after he left. These pictures were sent to him at the time. He was extremely aggressive, asking to collect the remaining balance even though the project was not completed. While our spa was under construction, he was overly insistent in wanting to install the unit system even when the contractor advised him to wait. We asked him to wait until the project was completed entirely because we wanted to protect the HVAC units from the debris of the construction. In the end, we let him install the units while the construction was still happening because his behavior was inappropriate, and we just paid him to let him go. We've been having issues with one of the units since May. It had been making noise, and we called him in order to let him know that one of the units wasn't working properly. He said he would stop by to take a look, but never did until June 14th. He picked up the pump and said he would get back to me within 24 hours because the pump wasn't working. I have been calling him since, but he never picked up his phone or called back. At this time, the weather is extremely hot, and our products and guests are both being negatively impacted by the heat. Overall, my experience has been negative.

I would like to give an overwhelmingly positive review for Woodland Home remodeling…read more I came to Woodland for a full siding replacement, from wood to vinyl, and Woodland was incredibly responsive in helping me decide what the right options would be for my house. Ultimately, they even ended up being one of the lowest quotes - and I searched all around Rhode Island. Mike (the CEO) and his team were extremely communicative, updated me at each stage of the process. When work change orders had to be made to replace parts of the framing, He explained it to me in an in-depth, understandable way, and the changes were cheap. I even ended up asking his company to do some additional work while they were there because their work was so exceptional. The work for the entire house was done ahead of schedule, and I never really felt uncomfortable working in my house (I work from home), even though it was be completely re-constructed right under my nose! Mike treats his employees well, and sent them home during a summer heat wave, which I was super happy about; it was really dangerwous out there. Mike also supervises the work personally, although his employees are also incredible masters at their craft and don't need any correct. Ultimately, my house was completely remade and looks AMAZING. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and after having gone over the siding in detail, I find it darn near perfect. At least 5 neighbors have come up to me and mentioned how stunned they are by the quality, and asked directly for the company's contact information. Seriously. It is very clear to me that working with Woodland was a great investment in my house's value, and a MASSIVE aesthetic improvement. I cannot recommend Woodland Home Remodeling more - they really did a legendary job on my house. Worst Contractor Experience Ever - Avoid DryZone Basement Systems / All Things Basementy…read more I had the single most egregious contractor experience of my life with DryZone Basement Systems (the local All Things Basementy provider) on my Massachusetts property. I hired them to clean out my crawlspace, which had an older vapor barrier, and upgrade it to a new vapor barrier system. Their sales pitch and materials specifically promised that the space would be thoroughly cleaned before any new material was installed. On the first day the crew began laying the new vapor barrier directly over the existing dirt, debris, and old vapor barrier without cleaning anything. I immediately stopped the project and contacted management to request a different crew that would actually do the job properly. Management promised they would send a project manager and that he would be on site the whole day on day two while the crew cleaned. What actually happened is that the project manager was only there for about 20 minutes. While the crew was supposedly cleaning out the old material, they only cleaned a small section and then covered up all the remaining old debris and old vapor barrier with the new material -- doing exactly what I had already complained about on day one and had been assured would not happen. To make matters worse, the crew spray-foamed rodent bait stations directly into the side of my house. It was obvious this was done deliberately and in a retaliatory, vindictive manner after I had complained and stopped their work. At that point I fired them. I lost my entire $6,000 deposit and had to hire another crew to rip out everything they had done. The cost to remove their improper work and start over was more than the original contract amount. I ultimately had the crawlspace properly cleaned and the vapor barrier upgrade completed correctly through the Mass Save program. This company showed zero respect for the homeowner's instructions, broke their promises about oversight, and acted dishonestly even after management got involved. I told them in no uncertain terms that they would never be allowed back on my property again. Strong recommendation: Do not use DryZone Basement Systems or any All Things Basementy contractor under any circumstances. They charge double the competition (or more) while promising quality but delivering substandard work. If you need crawlspace cleaning, vapor barrier upgrade, or encapsulation work, hire a dedicated cleanup/restoration crew separately (Servpro or equivalent) to get the space truly clean and ready, then have the new vapor barrier installed through Mass Save or a reputable local contractor. You will save yourself an enormous amount of money and avoid massive frustration. This was by far the worst contractor experience I have ever had. Learn from my mistake.
