The crew arrived late and began the job. 4 hours go by and the lead guy is talking about it coming back the next day because he had a job in Dover MA that he needed to attend to. I informed him that he needed to come back tomorrow and complete the job. He arrived next day and I watch as him and his partner rush through the job. He leaves holes in walls, my garage is full of insulation materials that he didn't blow in correctly, they failed to address a back wall (I have cameras there) although he tried to lie until I pointed out the cameras. All in all they did a terrible job. 2 days later the pipe that was supposed to be insulated froze and cost me $250 to have it repaired. I called the office and reported what happened and basically got the runaround. Eventually, they sent out a second group who noted several inconsistencies in the job that was supposed to have been completed. At this point, I realized that I no longer wanted them back up my home because if you lied to me the first time you'll lie to me the second and third time. I contacted the office again and I asked them to give me back some of my money so I could hire a company to complete the work that they did not do that is verified by their own second team contractors. We've been playing this game for the past four months. I contacted Adobe the company that hires homework and to date I have not gotten any satisfaction. I read the reviews on homework energy into my surprise or Betty yet to no one's surprise, they are the worst company out there. They do half ass jobs and when you call to complaint they give you the runaround.

Fast-forward to install day: The crew arrived in the morning and the work only took a few hours, but it was pretty impressive to watch and everyone was so nice and professional. By mid-afternoon, we had a finished driveway that looks and functions just how we wanted it to. We even ran into a very minor issue where the driveway meets our fence a few days later, and the crew came back promptly to fix it for no extra charge. The quality--both in the customer service and actual work--has always been the best of the best. Nick, the owner, was my main point of contact. Not once did I speak to their team in a disrespectful manner. Was I firm and direct? Absolutely. Not once was I inappropriate, unlike their owner. If any prospective clients see this and would like to ask me about my experience directly, I'm happy to have a conversation. I have no further interest in communicating with a company that continues to not truthfully own up to their faults in this. I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by my experience with Driveways by HEAP and their owner, Robert. From the start, communication with this company was extremely poor. It took months for them to respond to our request for a quote for options for our driveway and a small asphalt patch in our backyard. When they recommended sealcoating and they finally scheduled the work, they only completed part of the job -- forgetting the backyard patch we had clearly discussed and agreed upon. When we reached out to address the incomplete work, we were initially told they'd return within days. Weeks passed with vague updates, broken promises of return dates, and no follow-through. We asked them not to cash our check until the job was done -- but they did anyway, before completing the work. As soon as we realized the check had been cashed, and after my husband had multiple failed attempts to get ahold of Jamie, I stepped in to follow up - which was apparently unacceptable to do on a Sunday morning. She blocked my number and bizarrely informed my husband via email that she would only be communicating with him going forward -- an unprofessional and move that made me question if we were still in the 1950s. Things escalated with misogynistic language when I called the company directly and and asked to speak to Robert, the owner. I have never been spoken to by a service provider the way he spoke to me. He was verbally abusive, condescending, and used language that bordered on threatening. He insulted me personally and dismissed my entirely reasonable request to complete a job that had been paid for -- going so far as to accuse me of being part of the "instant gratification generation" and "making a mountain out of a molehill" as if expecting a service to be completed within a month is unreasonable. This business not only failed to complete the work in a timely or professional manner, but their treatment of me as a customer -- especially as a woman -- was hostile and deeply inappropriate. No one should be spoken to or treated this way.
