The prep work- it is all about the prep as anyone will tell you- was thorough, and nearly dust-free. Down to bare wood or solid old finish, sanded, primed, and two coats, well-applied. No one can do this level of work without hiring and retaining excellent people, and Erwin clearly has. Victor and David were on-time, respectful of neighbors, generous with automobile covers, and did outstanding work at all levels (and floors!) Not just the painting, but the carpentry. (I have renovated several houses over my lifetime and his crew, the same as were painting, were as good as any I hired in over 40 years.) Called Ron and scheduled a time for him to come out and look at having our gutters and trim painted…read morein mid-October. He came out and gave his assessment. We needed trim replaced due to water rot from the gutters and he suggested we use some PVC trim boards. He also noted other concerns with some shingles that should be addressed soon outside of the trim painting. His estimate was so low, half of what others estimates were, I thought he might use inferior product, but was assured that they use a quality product and they don't like to price gouge customers like other contractors do. Ron doesn't talk to you like a contractor looking for a paycheck, he talks to you honestly like a family member. Ron and his crew came out in November and power washed all my trim, repaired or replaced any rotten boards and gave a good coat of quality paint. He even had our small back deck power washed at no extra cost, as he already had it out for power washing the trim. Fast forward 7 months, and the trim and gutters still look like new. Even painting in colder November, the paint held up with no cracking or peeling after going through winter and now that we've had some 80+ degree days everything is standing up. I couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Bigley Professional Painting.
