They did an absolutely AMAZING job transforming our basement into a clean, bright space without mold. I have health problems (likely mold related) and this was worth every penny we paid. Our basement is now clean and dry - probably for the first time in its entire history. Our first floor has also benefited from the extra dryness coming from below. On top of everything they did for us, they are a kind, caring, delightful couple. They showed up every day on time, kept us posted as to everything they did and went above and beyond all expectations in being helpful. Highly, highly recommended. We'd give 10 stars out of 5 possible if we could.

However, the two owners are out to scam the insurance company and your wallet. We ended up firing them because they just left our house not worked on for weeks. They never submitted the quote until I called and reminded them that the insurance company didn't get it! It should have been in 6 weeks before they submitted it! The employees only worked 4-5 hours per day! They will just waste your money and time!

And this is where the story takes a positive turn. Signed up online and received a text with a link of who was coming and what day. Included information of what was going to be performed and how much. On the day of the appointment, my daughter let the technician in and I immediately found him to be polite, professional, and naturally friendly to my dog. I was instantly put at ease. Having never had to use a pest service, I was concerned about who would be going through my house and this poor soul had to crawl and climb all over a completely turned upside-down house, on a hot July day. Every step of the way he was a bevy of information and empathy. I was quite comfortable having him move about my house without me, he earned my complete trust. He set some bait and traps and had immediate results the evening after the first visit. He returned 2 weeks later to clear the traps (3 kills!) and seal up the outside. And since Mass Bay completed their work, no mice! In terms of value, the price was in the 3 figures. What would you pay for peace of mind? Mass Bay's options and pricing seemed fair and I will consider setting up a yearly contract with them, again for that peace of mind. I also learned quite a bit about mice in general, which was a nice add. I like when people geek out about their work, it's a good sign of happy employees. Happy employees do excellent work. MassBay was truly excellent.

This review is based on my drop off experience only. I expect, based on reviews, to get the same…read moreexcellent service after the repair as I did describing what I needed done. I brought in two pairs of booties, one needing a rubber tap placed over the plastic heel that makes a reached when I walk. I asked the cost and was very satisfied (this used to cost $5 in the '80's when there were at least 3 cobblers - that's what we used to call "shoe repair" shops - within 3 blocks of my downtown Boston office. It id more expensive now, but a very fair price all these years later). My second pair was Dr Martens boots that I've worn down enough that they're dangerously slippery. After looking closely, the suggestion was to remove and replace the whole sole. That was expensive, about 1/2 the price of a new pair. So, we kept talking. and Ron suggested filing down the front of the sole slightly to create a bit more traction, and replacing only the back quarter at the heel, since that tread is fully worn away. That should be only about 1/3-1/2 the price - and it's a great compromise! Also, if that doesn't solve the problem we can still replace the rest of the bottom. This was a thoughtful resolution, and genuine customer service: let's address the problem in a cost effective way.

They got me in right away (when I called back the 2nd time to book, they came the same day!). Two nice guys showed up, were here for about 30 minutes, and cleaned the vent. I asked them to take pictures since the work was done in the attic, and I didn't go up there (see attached pics). We had not had them cleaned in about 4 years, and they needed it! On their way out, they quoted me to clean our HVAC vents, which I had not even thought of doing. I will definitely use them again.
