This was my first time doing a major renovation on my home and I'm so grateful to have done it with Super Green. They turned my backyard from a wasted, unusable space to a wonderful oasis that I hang out in all the time. Elvia in specific was such a joy to work with. She listened and partnered with me from the beginning to figure out a design and vision that worked within my budget. As a first timer, I had a lot of questions and concerns and Elvia made sure to guide me every step of the way. More importantly, she and the team were fast and efficient. Out of the gate, they were great. They gave us a reasonable estimate compared to others. They had fantastic reviews. We submitted the plans to them, so they just needed to execute them. We didn't pull the trigger with them until a year later. At that point, we had reduced the scope of the project and so they gave us a new estimate that nearly doubled the price. They told us it was because of price increases over the year. But the reality, as we found out, is that they didn't estimate the price well. Elvia didn't fully read the plans. That was a red flag, but we were excited about the yard, and we knew the other estimates, so we went with it. Most of the process of getting the work done was great. They were done sooner than expected. There were still a few issues. One issue was with fruit trees. They were planting one lime and two oranges, even though we asked for a lime, an orange and a lemon. Elvia tried to convince us that lime and lemon were the same, so we didn't need a lemon; we should just stick with two oranges. We had to insist because, obviously, they aren't the same. The other issue was with the turf. We wanted turf that was more pet-friendly. Elvia told us she would show us some samples before they installed the turf. That never happened. The roll they had didn't appear new. It seemed like a leftover from another job. So they just installed it. We let it go because it was nice. Then, during the walk-through, the turf didn't look great at the time, but we were told that it would be fixed by the end of the day. It wasn't. We could see all the jagged seams. It was coming up in parts, and they were light on the infill, so all the turf was lying down. One small section was three different pieces put together with the blades of the turf, all going in different directions. We had asked for stabilized DG, and in the back after it dried out, it was clear that it wasn't installed well. There were patches that were just dirt. To their credit, they came and rectified it. However, the turf is still subpar. I wouldn't recommend them for turf at all. And the DG is not stabilized. It is poorly graded, and water pools around our garage. When we brought that up, Elvia suggested that they put in a French drain. Which, of course, would be an uncharge. Keep in mind that stabilized DG is almost as solid as concrete, and if graded right, water will flow away from structures, which should be the case with all grading. That's why it's done. So they wouldn't fix that. During the first rains, a lot of DG washed away, which is always an issue with DG. But this was way more than I'd expect with stabilized DG. The biggest issue we've had since is with the drip irrigation. We did drought-tolerant plants. When they left, Elvia told us to water for 5 minutes per day. This surprised us. We believed that new plants needed more water in the beginning. But we listened; they are the pros. We have a water monitoring system, and for the first few weeks, that 5 minutes was 9 gallons of water. Then, suddenly, after two weeks, it jumped up to 25 gallons. Now, as you can imagine, 25 gallons of water after five minutes of drip is a lot. They disagreed and said there was no issue. When I asked how many emitters they had and the flow rate so I could calculate how much water we should expect, the installer had no idea. He said I just installed it. He doesn't help with that. Then a fungus started growing in areas of the mulch where clearly a lot of water had been pouring out. Yet, they insisted it was no issue. Then Elvia said to wait one week, no watering, and they would come back. It rained early in the week. But now it has been two weeks, and I've heard nothing from them. My plants need water. Five of the ones they planted less than a month ago are already dead. I've had to go through the system myself to figure out the issue. That's when I found that they didn't even use emitters. They use tubing with the emitters built in. Which in and of itself is not an issue if you space the plants out well enough. The issue is that there is so much tubing and so few plants that large swaths of my yard are being watered and no plants are there. This means that weeds and other non-desirable plants are being watered. And the emitters that are close to the plants aren't close enough. So for us to use the drip irrigation, which we set up to save water, we'll be using twice as much as it needs to because we're watering places with no plants just to water the areas that do have plants. It should have had emitters directed at the plants. But they weren't. Now I have to call someone else in to make this drip irrigation truly water-efficient or do it myself because Supergreen has ghosted me. Raul, the owner, will never respond to you. I believe that is mentioned in other comments. So don't even attempt to contact him with issues. My recommendation is to find another company. We wasted $20,000. read more

Supergreen was the landscape company I hired to do work on my front and back yard. It was a gut job which included demo. From the get-go Dayami was very responsive and the only vendor who followed up. Responsive vendors are so hard to find but Dayami was available for me anytime. She responded to my calls/texts quickly and came a few times to meet with me before work started. The main team that worked on my yard was Elio, Santos and Ricardo. They were here every weekday morning around 7am & was proactive in listening to my directions & following up if they had questions. Overall I was happy with the work they did. My front yard had drought tolerant plants & the back has plants & artificial grass. They also installed the automatic drip system & build my gazebo kit. There were a few days they didn't come because of another job which pushed completion by a week. It was stressful as I was leaving out of town and hoped to enjoy the yard before I left. She came on site to give us our estimate, and of all the companies that came on site for estimates (not all of them did), SG was among the lower bids. Elvia was very responsive and patient with all my questions, and was on site almost every day of the project to oversee progress. She worked with us to keep our project within budget. We opted to purchase the plants ourselves, for example, to keep costs down. When there was a mishap with our ground cover order with Lowes (it had been discontinued!), Elvia worked overtime to find a suitable replacement. Redoing my yard and as you can probably guess from the updated review....it isn't with Supergreen Landscape. It has been some years since I originally had DG put down in my yard and I have been fighting weeds since. Ultimately, what I am now finding out, the layer of decomposed granite laid down wasn't very thick. Because none, or very little, of the dirt was dug out the sun and seeds from my neighbors weeds were able to penetrate into the soil. Reached out to Raul here on yelp for a landscaping quote. He was super fast to respond, and a few days later sent an associate out to look at my yard. She took about 5 minutes, wrote a few notes, never took pictures, and then said they'd be in touch w/ a quote and next steps. As other yelpers have pointed out... Raul never responded and never reached back out. Glad I didn't go with this firm. I instead went with a local landscaper / gardener who charged probably a fraction of what Raul would have charged, and I couldn't be happier. I recently reached out to Raul about building a fence around my property, as well as a french drain to reduce flooding in my garage. He sent out Elvia, his project manager, to review the property and give a comprehensive estimate. He was proactive from the beginning about setting a time and keeping appointments, which was a nice change from some other companies. Elvia suggested I go with a stained redwood fence, and sent me a written estimate the following morning. The price was substantial, but reasonable for the length that we were doing (around 270 feet). The work took a long time -- about a month, due to some rain delays. The workers didn't come on rainy days. However, they did wonderful work and Raul or Elvia or both were here almost everyday. The project foreman, Fernando, was a true star. He is very talented and capable young guy, who was able to think on his feet and adjust the building process to my preferences. This ended up being the largest fence he'd done, but the end result looked fantastic and he built me a couple nice gates as well. The french drain ended up beautifully as well. The only trouble with the project was that it became clear that Elvia and Raul had under-estimated the material costs of the redwood fence, and started feeling the squeeze on their budget. While I value the competitive price, I'd hope that future estimates take all costs into account. read more

I can't tell you how great Raul and Supergreen Landscape is! Raul is just a down to earth, super nice man. My daughter and I wanted a floating deck of sorts built and some pavers put in and had designed it ourselves. Raul was totally cool with that and his quote was very reasonable- so I hired him after only meeting with him and one other company. It took a few weeks, but I didn't expect any less- and the pavers are in such demand, we had to wait for the company to make more for everyone ordering them. His team were accommodating and incredibly clean. They worked ridiculously hard and were very polite. I've had a lot of work done on my house and have had every kind of character thru here and these guys are in my top 5 workers I would hire ANY time I need stuff done that they can handle. We'd been waiting to do our yard for over two years and had become that neighbor who brought down property values. We had plans drawn up, but wanted to have hardscaping and landscaping done at the same time. We had gotten a couple quotes, but Supergreen came in somewhat lower and their reviews were good here (negative ones had to do with scheduling, but we had waited two years already and a couple weeks wouldn't matter.) Raul is a super nice guy. We are not the easiest couple to work with and made a few mid-design changes, which included swapping a bunch of already planted yankee point (30 of them) for ice plants (at no additional charge). We also decided to add a wall, concrete bench and modern firepit instead of a rock fire pit with boulders for seats. Of course these changes cost a little bit more, but Raul rolled with it and was able to accommodate all of our requests and stay on schedule. Fernando was our primary foreman. He and his team were very responsive, always seeking our input, but also making good suggestions when there wasn't a clear choice. My front and back yard was a mess. Tons of land. Tons of weeds. I searched long and hard and finally settled on Supergreen Landscape for some outdoor living love. Met with Raul and Elvia to assess the situation. A couple of days later Elvia sent over a design plan. I'll start this by saying I've not written to many reviews on Yelp. Only when the service goes above and beyond. Elvira and the supergreen crew did just that. I'm skeptical to hire anyone for anything. I'm a DIY guy. However, for the backyard I just didn't have it in me. I needed to do the diligent research and make sure I didn't get taken by any "CON"tractors out there. After speaking with Elvira, from day one she earned my trust with her quick responsiveness and warm smile. Not only did she do everything i asked for within the budget i planned, they went above and beyond what we discussed to make sure the job was done right. They did not cut any corners and got my approval on most things before moving too far. Along the way Elvira stayed in touch making sure we were happy with the work. When a problem occurred (which they assuredly will do) she corrected it without any delays in the overall timeline. They transformed by entire backyard and we can't thank them enough. read more
