This Dumbo haunt has been around for like 25 years. It's LGBTQ leaning and very welcoming of people of all colors, genders and preferences. The food has gotten progressively better over the years but the cocktails leave a bit to be desired. That said, you don't really come here for the cocktails anyway. Beers are always cold and the staff is lovely! read more

Incredibly inappropriate bar staff. Unprofessional as can be. Do not go here. 1 start is generous - zero start is accurate. Felt uncomfortable here. read more

Good local spot. Nothing fancy, but great vibe, nice people, very cozy. Great late night spot too! Food wise, love their fries, burger good too. Give it a shot! read more

Agree with Alexis, Superfine is one of the better place for lunch in DUMBO. The food here is great, prepared fresh from locally procured ingredients. They come out of the kitchen slowly, but the space is neat enough for good conversation, if you are not in a rush it's absolutely enjoyable. Love their Chicken sandwich and Spaghettini. read more

The space at Superfine is fun...industrial look, funky decor, high ceilings, a bar that's not too crowded, and a separate dining and lounge area. There's even a pool table, which makes Superfine a super fine place to hang out with some friends. I just wish they'd lose the mismatched kitchen tables and chairs in the lounge area and replace them with mismatched comfy couches. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are trendy but not in an unapproachable way, which I like. Brooklyn can overwhelm me sometimes. It only gets three stars...for now...because I haven't tried the food yet. An update to this review will come soon! read more

This place is pretty cool. And by pretty cool I mean, everyone turns to look at the door when you walk in to see if you're anyone interesting (Me: "Geesh, maybe I should have done something more exotic to my hair"). Alas, I am not particularly interesting, but the crowd and the menu here are pretty cool. We got here around 8 PM on a Friday where we were amazingly able to grab a table right away. I think it was the bartender (?) who delivered our drinks, she was really attentive and on top of things. Our server was ok, she tended to disappear when we needed her but was accomodating otherwise. My friend asked for the fries on the side with aioli which wasn't on the menu and she was happy to bring him some, which was great because they were really great. I don't know why more restaurants don't serve matchstick fries, they're so good. I got the ricotta dumplings which were solid, not amazing, but not bad either. I loved the decorations and the ambience here. I didn't notice until I went to the bathroom, but the music was provided by a DJ which makes this place officially too hip for me, but maybe next time I'll go I'll dress up a little more and feel like I'm part of the in crowd. read more

Superfine is a favorite amongst many who live in this unique Brooklyn neighborhood. Tucked away under the Manhattan Bridge, you could almost miss it but my suggestion is DON'T! If your looking for a great destination with a cool vibe, this is the place. I would classify Superfine as a hybrid. It is a bar, restaurant, music venue, and local hangout. Inside, the space is intriguing with a post-industrial aesthetic. Once your lips meet the food, you will be hooked. The menu has lots of fish and fresh vegetables dishes. Being a burger lover, I got a cheeseburger with bacon and it was AMAZING. But why take my word for it? Go try it yourself and experience this really trendy space. read more

Everything was great except the fact that it's literally under the train by the bridge. It's soo loud you have to stop talking until they pass. It's literally like every 3 minutes. In any event, this is beyond their control. The drinks were good and the service was lovely. It's still worth it despite the noise read more

Things really are bigger in Brooklyn. This spacious bar was a great spot for a group after a meeting. The bar seating is small, but they have a ton of tables...plus, a pool table. Laid back, but also with some distinctive decorative touches (table patterns, reddish lighting, etc.). A nice selection of beers (including a couple of local brews), cocktails, etc. The music was good, and at the right level for making conversation. Haven't tried the food, but liked the space a lot. read more

Superfine - A "Dirty Hoe"--part Hoegaarden, part Guiness, all good. - Bars Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Atmosphere was great. Loved the bar. Burger was super average. Fries were good. It's NYC so you're gonna be paying stupid prices regardless but I was quite disappointed with my burger that was $18. read more

Came here on Halloween and was pleased to find friendly bartenders and a not-too-rowdy crowd. Vintage-y decor and good service. We ordered standard well drinks and appetizers, and all were great. The apps are large enough to be a meal for one. Excited to come back to try the cocktails. read more

I came in here on a recent Sunday evening with a group to continue the festivities of a friend's wedding earlier in the day. The space is open and industrial, but the hodgepodge of fun vintage furniture and other decorations make the space festive and inviting. I really liked the tiki bead & tinsel curtain that led to the women's bathroom. The restaurant was somewhat empty around 6pm, so it was easy for us to find space. We commandeered the free pool table and played on it for most of the night. At some point, a live folk-y band came onstage and played, which added to the chill yet fun atmosphere. The draft beer selection was good, and I got to try a couple beers I had never even heard of before. I didn't personally order any food, but my friends who did said theirs was very good. read more

Met with friends for a casual short dinner. Bar was well stocked with whiskeys and I had a sour that Bo made. Turns out Bo has visited my small island- Bequia- numerous times so we hit it off. Started dinner with friends and had the calamari which was tender and flavorful. We also shared a large salad and and I had the spaghettini which had a lot of fresh roasted vegetables. Prices were affordable and service okay, nothing stellar about it. read more

Had such a fabulous meal and time at Superfine. To the tune of live classical jazz, I devoured a heaping plate of their incredible shoestring fries (an absolute must-get), along with their deliciously fresh sea bass taco filled with avocado and cabbage, and their hot fudge sundae. The whole experience was such a great way to spend a Sunday evening. read more

While I give this place 4 stars, I give their burger 10 stars. One of the best burgers ever. Also a great space at a great location. Came here with my boyfriend. We live in the neighborhood. Nice vibe, eclectic ambiance. Friendly service. We noticed every server chipped in, and took care of every customer. This place is as sub par as bars, pubs, can come. Super high prices for food that is the blandest of the bland. God I hate Brooklyn for spots like this. Gentrification at it's finest. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings let's just say if I was Jamaican I would have sprint like Usain Bolt straight into a samurai sword after eating these because they are profane and blasphemous! Damn near $30 for a dinner oh and if there is not salt on the table make sure you ask for it because the food is gonna need alot. Do you know how I felt once I left? Swindled, robbed and above all else hungry. read more

Great location. Awesome decor and staff. Food was good and the drinks as well. We ordered chicken wings and the shrimp tacos. Both which were amazing. Drinks were very good and well made as well. Very nice place to spend some time with love ones and friends.Atmosphere is great as the food and wine.

The amount of love and gratitude we have for Superfine is inexpressible. My Husband and I worked with Tanya (one of the partners/owners) and the team to host our wedding reception last weekend at Superfine and it was everything we hoped it could be down to the smallest detail and more. Tanya met with us in advance of the wedding to talk details and, in addition to the amazing openness and quirkiness of the space, her energy and obvious love for Superfine really helped to seal it for us. She spoke of hoping to customize the experience for us, took time to hear what we were interested in (like actually HEAR it), remained flexible in the days leading up to the event, and went the extra mile by providing a few extra details to make the space special just for us. We were able to trust without doubt or fissure that Tanya and the team would put her heart into our small event and in the end they did just that. Service from the hosts, bartenders, servers, and even Tanya herself was top notch and energized with the joy that we and our guests were experiencing and contributed to the best night of our lives together. Food and drinks were unsurprisingly delicious; I fully lost count of the number of people who asked me "have you had one of these!?" (particularly the cocktails) with a wild silly grin on their face. We'll be going back to Superfine for years and years to come. Thank you to everyone who made this happen. It means the world. read more

The place is open to 4am BUT the kitchen is closed at "12" (in actually it was 11:48PM ). So you're left with a Bar menu that has 4 items. The service was ok considering we got seated super quick . The food came out warm , i guess . That doesn't matter when the food taste a whopping 5/10 . The shrimp tacos aren't to die for but if you can't find an open restaurant you can bite the bullet and eat here. The wings were suppose be "Jerk" but not a lick of jerk seasoning could be identified on the poor chicken wing (i just came back from Jamaica not to long ago. I KNOW JERK !) the wings were just oven roasted wings over salt . I should give the place the a 3rd star because of the dim lighting that's somewhat comforting, music and the spontaneous pool table in the middle of the restaurant but it's 1:33am and I'm feeling a tad bit "Petty". read more

So the decor is nice, large open space a nice band was playing. But someone here has made a lot of bad decisions. First off the food is terrible, no taste everything was bland. Don't order the breakfast burrito it was soggy. And the steak and eggs, the steak was very small. They included a small salad with rotted greens. But worst of all they have 2 terrible paintings with the word love on it. read more

I had the best date with my partner there! Staff very welcoming , good vibes, foood is sooooo good !!!

The female manager is an unprofessional B****. I recognize this is very harsh but I could use a lot stronger words but I won't so people will actually read this. First, this is the only review I have felt inclined to write on yelp because of my horrible experience. My family, friends, and I grabbed a late night dinner and drinks after I performed in BK Bridge Park. There were 10 of us and they sat us quickly. My dad told the waiter he would be paying for six guests (his family and significant others) and asked for two separate checks. In which the waiter said not a problem. NOTE our waiter was superb. He was handsome, nice, and attentive. We all enjoyed our drinks and meals. When we received the two checks it was done incorrectly. My brother sorted out who had what and went up to our waiter and asked to rewrite the checks in the original way we requested. The waiter did not have a problem with the request. Until... DUN DUN DUN a skinny brunette manager interrupted their conversation and said, "Absolutely not. You need to figure it out for yourself." And proceeded to bicker with my brother. After their dispute away from our table. She came over and yelled condescendingly, "We are all adults here. Figure it out. If you had the steak, pay for the steak." This was especially jarring and rude since most people at my table were not involved with the conflict and this was their first interaction with this classless woman. The waiter came over and apologized. My father said he would talk to her. He asked what the issue was. She told him we should have been appreciative that the restaurant accommodated such a big party. Sooooo since you did not refuse to serve us, we should be appreciative of your rude behavior. Like sorry there were ten of us and we spent a lot of money at your establishment. She ended up refusing to change the check and we spent 15 minutes figuring it out. The waiter brought my dad a free beer and apologized profusely for the intensely nauseating situation. As we were leaving, the manager was sitting outside complaining and smoking a cigarette like a petulant 17 year old girl. If she was not part of our evening, I would give this restaurant 4 stars. NOTE TO OWNER: Fire your female brunette manager that worked Saturday June 8th. Or send her to some communication classes. read more

Great DUMBO option for casual drinks, live music, or dinner with friends on a schoolnight; the place is sparse and has a pool table that only costs patience (the currency fluctuates from 20 to 50 minutes or more) To be quite honest, the food is nothing spectacular, but the vibe is so festive that you will find it acceptable. This is preferably a place to come for drinks. Live music is very entertaining, and once upon a time that I came with Yelpers, there was a Buenavista Social Club-like band playing some salsa, and a couple of old timers actually indulged in dancing amidst the tables. They were adorable. Outside there is some seating too, although the plastic table they have allocated ad hoc, is quite vexing for some reason I can't determine, that you may want to "kick-it". I think some Yelpers would agree to this fact. So come for great times, conversation, and music; and enjoy this part under the wing of the Brooklyn Bridge, and if possible, dance. read more

i was only here for an hour tonight but what an impression this place made on me. First of all, the fact that its right underneath the Manhattan Bridge just blew my mind. Yeah, the rumbling noise from the cars overhead can be very distracting, even maddening at times. But that just adds to the charm of Superfine. Were there a bunch of yuppies here because its in DUMBO? Oh you betcha there were, but at least these were the cool kind of yuppies, who can talk about photography and roller derby in the same breath. The service was a bit slow, but then again we had a fairly large turnout so I kind of expected it. oh, did i mention the pool table? our tables were right in the lounge area where there's a huge couch and a pool table, which is free! I love shooting pool, especially if its free. so yes, I have found our new "verlaine". (yes, that is an inside joke) just gotta find out about happy hour specials and whatnot. EDIT: oh well, Happy Hour is only from 4-7pm, which does none of us no good, boo! read more
