An upscale hidden gem in Park Slope. On a Saturday evening it was quite busy with every seat taken, but we were so fortunate a table opened just as we walked in. The bar gives off a speak easy vibe with lighting provided by candles. They have an extensive drink menu and we had the Orchard Thief. A vodka based drink with apple brandy and apple cider. sweet but not too sweet and garnished with a sprig of rosemary. They have a unique variety of small plates. We had the Squash Bruschetta . A twist on classic bruschetta replacing tomatoes with roasted squash. A blend of balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors. We also tried the recommended famous Duck Club. The duck was thinly sliced on house-made raisin-nut bread with bacon. It was unique and very flavorful. Service was excellent. I highly recommend for cocktails and small plates. read more

I went to Blueprint several years ago when I was still in college and remember that they had a really good Happy Hour- luckily that has stayed the same. I went with a friend to grab a couple of drinks on a Thursday night and the bar was packed and rightfully so. However, they're fine if you grab a table and just order drinks so there was no problem. I had the Smoky Mary's and it was pretty solid. All in all, a great spot in the neighborhood. read more

Holy awesome goodness does this place make incredible cocktails. If you're looking for a nice three drink run, I can recommend doing the Donkey Kong, followed by the Squid and the Whale, and then closing out with the Café Mexicano. The food was delicious as well. I can recommend the house cured salmon plate. And the wedge salad was perfect. (Yes, sometimes I eat things that are not cheese, haters... although I did get blue cheese. Hey leave me alone about it.) These bartenders are so nice plus they're eager to talk about their concoctions. I had a blast talking shop. The inside is super chill and easy to carry on a conversation with whoever's with you. And for when it's not scorching hot, there's a nice patio outback. I can't wait to go back. Amazing drinks very legitimate old fashioned. Very cozy and ambiance was quite chic and romantic for a bar. Dim lights really set the mood and the music is very chill. The food menu is outstanding. They have rabbit pit pie, we ended up having the flatbread pizza as small bites while we waited for our next venue. Service was quick the small bites were on point and delicious. There were three of us so we needed a shareable snack and this was perfect. Great flavor and perfectly crispy. Would come back to enjoy more drinks and food. Bartender was very friendly and recommended great foods and drinks for us and was able to answer our questions about the menu pretty quick. Fantastic and can't wait to return. This is a cool place to go--I'm late discovering it, but I had heard about it from others and I've now been in there a few times. The drinks are really good--the Squid and the Whale wasn't so much my kind of thing (but I had wanted to try it)--I like Parks & Leisure a lot, and since they have a lot of different cocktails on their menu I will probably continue to mix it up and try more things. I like that there are a lot of food options too--I especially liked the burrata & olive pizza. But there are a lot of other things on their menu that I still need to try. The guys who work here seem really nice and friendly which is especially appreciated when you're coming in solo. I've sat at the bar when I've been there for happy hour or shortly after but they do have a lot of other areas for seating. All in all this seems like a really nice cocktail bar and worth coming back and continuing to try more things. read more

Very cozy bar on 5th Ave of Park Slope. I got the Indian summer sour - Vodka, Meletti amaro, pineapple, ginger, lime, falernum, five spice- which was good but a little on the sweet side. Wow. This is one of my favorite cocktail bars at the moment - I'm sad it took me to come here! Blueprint is one of the first bars that has really got me excited in a long time. The cocktail menu is well thought out, has something for everyone, and the quality for the price far exceeds "bigger" name bars. I have not had any misses here. The food is outstanding, all the way from some light bites with your drinks/wine or to a full blown meal. I love their brussels sprouts and their bruschetta with burrata. Have a glass of wine with their boquerones with a glass of wine at the bar, and for a minute you'll forget you're at a neighborhood bar in Brooklyn, and imagine yourself in southern Spain or somewhere else. In love with the vibes here: whether you're at the bar, in the more private tables in the back, or their awesome backyard. Overall a great neighborhood feel, and not stuffy at all. You can judge for yourself by the pics but overfilling glasses with ice isn't enticing and while there's nothing wrong with the drinks, there's not much of a wow factor either. Blueprint is an upscale bar that has quickly become one of my favorite go-to places for their "Lay Day" Cocktail which in my opinion is delicious. Then why did I give them 4 out of 5 Stars?....We ordered a Charcuterie Board - Yes, Blueprint is a high-end bar but ithe Charcuterie Board was so small and overpriced for the size. Blueprint is on 5th Avenue and it is near various eateries including Black Oak, several Mezican Restaurants and not too far from Two Boots Pizza. Blueprint ia dimly-lit and it gives a chic, yet down-to-earth classy vibe which makes it great. It is quaint with indoor seating as well as an outdoor dining patio. The multiple time comong here so far, we have enjoyed sitting at the bar as well as at one of their cozy two-seated tables that are across from the bar area. Blueprint gets busy as it is pretty popular, however staff do a good job of tending to customers, so we have never waited too long for service. Blueprint's food menu has Small Plates that include their Hummus Plate& Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Big Plates that include Duck, Ricotta Pizza, Rabbit Pot Pie, their Cured Salmon Plate, etc. Blue also has Salads, Snacks including Spicy Picklesand MarinatedOlives & Desserts that include Caramel Bread Pudding and Flourless Chocolate Bourbon Cake. The Charcuterie Coard options can include any of their Meats, Cheeses and Bread. Each individual selection is $9 any 3 are $24and the House Plate is $32 which is any 3 Meats, any 3 Cheeses and their Housemade Bread. Our Charcuterie Board (please see picture I posted) had three poeces of cheese a sliver of prosciutto along with sloces.on bread and a few apple slices. While it was tasty, I believe that there could have been more.on the Charcuterie Board for the price. While I am a bit curious about trying other food options at Blueprint, I may think twice. We have had some of their House Cocktails including their "Lay Day" Cocktail- Mezcal, Pisco, Passionfruit, Green Chartreuse, Cardamom, Pineapple & Lime as well as their "Grapfruit Dead" Cocktail - Bourbon, Aperitivo, Lemon, Grapefruit - Hibiscus Syrup, bitters, absinthe. I will continue to return to get a Lay Day Cocktail once in awhile. The bartenders prepare them well and I do like a nicely created, fruity / on the sweeter side kind of refreshing cocktail. Atmosphere: The inside looked rather fancy, definitely dress for the place (business casual). Good for date night. Our group of 4 was severely underdressed so they gave us outdoor seating. It's cold during the fall, and the heater only completely covered one of the seats, so my friend was fine, but I was freezing. Food: My friends ordered the House Cured Salmon Plate which came with Creme Fraiche which was excellent (although for the price it left more to be desired). The Rabbit Pot Pie was also amazing, highly recommend, I'd say it's worth the price. Unfortunately, no picture (I was too excited to eat it and forgot to take one). Service: Service was passable. Super refreshing and a pretty orange/pink color! My bf really liked his old fashioned too. We also ordered the chicken liver mousse pate, which was reallly good and I'd definitely order again!! Blueprint stays quiet at early opening (3pm) on the weekend for about an hour with scattered patrons but right as the clock hits 4pm- the masses come in droves. Okay guys, I just found my new favorite summer spot. Blueprint, of course, has an indoor bar and some tables but the outdoor space is SO, so charming. If you want to impress your date (or yourself, or your friends, or even a stranger tbh), take them here. We walked in on a Friday night without reservations so I figured the back space would be off limits but the sweet hostess was able to squeeze us into a nice little corner spot. For those of you who breezed over that sentence, let's note that the hostess was not only polite, but exceptionally sweet. A rarity in NYC. We took our seats and promptly ordered some vino with our waitress who, AGAIN, was another darling. Too good to be true? Nope. Real life. Exceptional service from start to finish. We also kept a menu to order some bites later on and I'm happy we did. The baby octopus was delicious, served with what I could only guess is tomatillo sauce, and potatoes. Definitely a good little plate to split. We also split the fish plate with cured salmon, another good choice for a light bite. I'm so happy I found Blueprint. I'll definitely be back! read more

Cocktails were good, food was not. The pork butt sliders were criminally small. There was a schmear of what looked and tasted like pork pate on stale bread with a very dry slaw. The baby octopus over potatoes was ok, the potatoes were not crispy and the octopus was unremarkable. Duck club was dry, couldn't really taste the thin sliced duck, the red onions overpowered everything. Eating the duck by itself there still wasn't much flavor. The burrata crostini was also disappointing, the cheese was not creamy but congealed, and the bread itself was cold. The best item was the whipped salted cod, but I can't say I'd order it again. The cocktails were well balanced, the menu varied, presentation was lovely. Space heaters in the outdoor seating area were very strong and service was great. I'd come back for drinks. read more

My partner has been wanting to take me here since they went almost 3 years ago and this was WORTH the wait. Came here on a Saturday evening and there was no wait for a table of two. Loved the decor, the lighting was very atmospheric and had the upscale cocktail bar vibe as promised. Though we did not part take in the cocktails, it was really neat watching the bartenders work with some really interesting concoctions. Since we were medium hungry, we decided to do a few apps and to split the duck club sandwich, the star of the show. We chose the boquerones and burrata bruschetta to start. The boquerones was INSANELY delicious. The warm baguette with the saltiness of the Spanish anchovies was divine. The drizzle of olive oil was simple but added so much. Such a well executed dish! The burrata bruschetta was outstanding. It was a piece for each, but perfectly warm, the burrata was melted perfectly, and the bruschetta was a perfect little layer underneath. I could've had more! The real star though, as mentioned, was the duck club sandwich. This changed the sandwich game for me in ways I didn't know it needed changing. The layers and complexity of the sandwich can't be understated enough, the duck with bacon, mayo, lettuce and tomato on homemade raisin nut bread was just a cross section of how many flavors and textures you can put in a sandwich and work so harmoniously. The service here was great, the wine was very good, and the food was beyond expectation. Highly recommend! read more

What a great late night Brooklyn bar! We stopped by on the way home after a late dinner in Manhattan to grab some drinks. There weren't any seats left in the main entry room but we were led to the back to some booths near the bathrooms where it was slightly quieter. The cocktail and alcohol menu is quite extensive. I was able to choose two gin cocktails and enjoyed them thoroughly. The Beauregarde was tasty and sweet while the Last Word was less sweet but not any less delicious. Both cocktails were between $13-14 which I find quite reasonable in NYC (well, Brooklyn). I've heard the rabbit pot pie is excellent, too - will try next time! read more

Blueprint is the kind of small, cozy and neighborhoody spots that have solid cocktails and does not have a pretentious vibe. The set-up inside... Blueprint is a long and narrow establishment, meaning, there's adiquate seating, but not a ton; both bar seating and (smaller) tables. Just the way I like it. Oh, oh - and I got this cocktail... ready for it? With red pepper flavor. It's definitely different, and it's definitely good. I can assure you, it was tasty - not sweet and well worth giving it a shot. I got two. The bartenders know their stuff, are friendly and will definitely address and explain and questions you have. Here's the part you've been waiting for... yep, they have a super cute and cozy outdoor space that you'll want to check out as soon as possible. We went on a Thursday at 6pm and had no trouble getting a table for four. I had the "Never Never", a refreshing summery cocktail of Neversink Gin, Yellow Chartreuse, dry vermouth, pineapple, lime, honey, and tonic. My partner had the "My Dear Julius," which was Bourbon, damson plum liqueur, lemon, cinnamon, maple, whiskey barrel aged bitters, orange bitters, egg white. They require that you order food, which we didn't know about beforehand. We got the burrata bruschetta - I liked the burrata but the tomato could have been better. Visited Blueprint for drinks and dinner on Sunday evening. An excellent cocktail bar with creative and tasty drinks and a really solid food menu. Quality: Blueprint is an ideal cocktail bar, with unique and delicious drinks, and a perfect food menu to match. During our visit, I ordered three different cocktails, The Devil's Soul, Smoky Mary's, and Say No To This. All great, with Smoky Mary's taking my pick for best. While my girlfriend selected three others in Bon Voyage, Minotauro, and My Dear Julius. All choices more up her alley, but I could definitely get into My Dear Julius. For food we hit all sections of the menu. The House Plate of Meats and Cheeses is a good choice to pick at, though I think I would prefer my own selections next time, instead of the chef curated ones. The Burrata Bruschetta is tremendous and should be ordered at every visit. I preferred the Niman Ranch Pork Butt Sliders, with their thick pickles and red slaw, to the Blueprint Duck Club, which needed a more substantial sauce to bring it together. Then the Caramel Bread Pudding is a perfect way to tie a meal together. Quantity: Stiff, but delicious cocktails, and we ended up ordering a full meal, but lots of snack size items to share. Crowd: On a day where many places shuttered because of the hurricane threat, Blueprint stayed open and drew a large crowd. Folks tired of sheltering at home found a warm refuge in the bar, and it was nearly full for Sunday evening. Service: Fantastic service.
