    Double burger

The food was solid, but the service was slow. Not ideal for late night munchies if you're in a hurry. Arrived at 8:00 and didn't get food until 8:30. I suspect it was because they were busy cleaning up before they close at 9:00? The burger was juicy and ample. But this place is best known for their dogs. Nice, snappy sausage with all of the trimmings. I love the pickle spear and pickled green tomato on the side. The crinkle fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside.

I mean, what else can I say about this Chicago icon? A local staple and one best example of the goods eats from the greatest city in the world? They've got a solid hotdog here. The classic Vienna Beef frank we know and love paired with their epic super fries, pickle included. They've got indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of drive in space if you' d prefer to eat in your car. I can't say I've had a bad time here. Absolutely a great joint to go to, especially in the summer. I love this place, and I hope to explore more of the menu down the road.

This was my first time here today ordered a shrimp dinner came to 17 something plus tax so pretty close to $22 opened up the box. The shrimp was good. The fries were overly cooked and very greasy and the garlic bread they gave you was soggy and wet. I'm very disappointed for the price I paid.

What a fun place! I really wanted a milk shake, and this is the place to get one, 10/10. I added a hot dog to my order. The dog was okay, 6/10. Fries, so-so 5/10. Service at the car was great 10/10. Ambiance's was 10/10, super fun place.

Good experience. Never disappoints. They got some good hot Dawgs and are quick to please. Very fulfilling and have great ingredients.

I loved Superdawg!! The crunch and juiciness of the hot dog itself would have me return itself! My bae digs hot dogs so we had to stop by as soon as they opened 10am for our brunch post workout. Already there were a few folks coming in to enjoy meal..I wanted to try the tamales, pineapple shake, and original Superdawg while my fiancé got the Polish sausage dog with fries, cup of cheese, and a beer. I could not finish the tamale, the taste felt off..kinda reminded me of the smell of play doh. The hot dog itself sang a symphony of flavors in my mouth tho! I loved the relish, juicy dog, poppyseed bun...all of it! So yummy! I tried my fiancé's meal and the cheese dipped in fries was so yummy too!! The pineapple shake had chunks in it but the base tasted more vanilla like..overall the meal was sensational and nostalgic. We took picks by the wieners too! Had a kitschy cute time at Superdawg!!

As many times as I've been to Superdawg, I've never tried the Superfish. Super indeed. Two large deep fried fish filets on a grilled brioche bun (or dark rye) nestled among crinkle cut fries, pickle spear and pickled tomato wedge. It was too much of a good thing, unfortunately, and a bit greasy. The fries seemed a bit soaked in grease. I did feel a bit queasy and did not finish. Still, a fun experience to come here and eat. Next time I will order a hot dog.

Went recently and got their fish sandwich and their supersoda. The food there was delicious if you eat right after you get it. The soda was super overfilled which made it hard to clean up but it was really good. The service was fast even though they were busy. They also have a lot of outdoor seating and you can also eat inside your car.

Definite tourist destination! Stop if you are in the area. For us, it was fine. Meant to order a burger, the menu was overwhelming so I ended up with a Whoopsieburger or something, it was a double. It was $11.25, $2 more than the single. My son complains, so no toppings, plain burger ordered here. It was fine, the burger meat was meh, but I will say, the bun was delicious. The fries are also delicious, worth getting. My problem is that there is no other price point if you just want a plain dog or plain burger. It's crazy to pay the same for a hot dog with ketchup as you play for a Chicago style dog. My opinion, but I don't love this pricing. Ultimately, the food was fine, but not stellar. That said, Superdawg is a must stop in the area. The vibe is cool for sure. Go when you have times it will take a hit to get your order.

I've been going to Superdog since the time of only one location at Devon and milwaukee. It's a Chicago classic, a must visit if you want a Chicago dog and the traditional flavor that our parents ate in the 1950s! The Wheeling location has been open for at least 20 years, I think more. It has a modern vibe, not like the traditional, original location. The food is almost as good, but I think lacks That Special Sauce of old equipment and old places and old machines. I had a super dog with fries, and a chocolate malted. I was very happy, although it just lacked something. I think customer service falls the same way as the food. The Wheeling location is very clean, the crowd is nice, there's tons of parking, and it's still a great experience. However, and this, in my mind, is a big detractor, when I went this past Sunday at dinner time, there was no car service. I pulled into a spot, press the button for car service, and it was told to go through the drive-thru. That was very disappointing. I ended up eating inside.

Amazing dawgs and fries. The superveggies are delicious. The waitstaff is super pleasant and I love their outdoor seating. #iraeats #irats1

Cool place to visit. I assume they still have carhops in warm weather but I'll have to wait and see. Not the friendliest staff but this is the Chicago burbs, not the south. You could say that they were Chicago friendly I reckon. They have a good variety of menu options, including Superdawg Beer. Prices aren't bad unless you substitute onion chips for fries. I paid $18 for double burger, onions, and large drink. Ouch. My Whooperburger fresh and delicious. Same toppings as a Superdawg, including neon green relish, sport peppers, and a pickle. This is a five star burger. The Superchips were just OK. Not enough onion flavor to me. Sweet tea was really good, even for a southern boy. Thumbs up there.

I will always have fond memories of eating a ton of hot dog lunches here. It occurred during my 'serious' working life at Jensen Sound Labs in nearby Schiller Park. Back in the day, Gene & Jude's was a teensey tiny, stand-and-eat-over-a-counter-french-fries-stuffed-into-your-snappy-Vienna-Beef-dog kinda place. It still has a devoted cult following. As it is with all good things, the restaurant has only become bigger and better! Gene & Jude's has such a wonderful location near and around many office buildings that house large companies. And a forest preserve nearby. Today, the same hot dog and fries combo I ate back in the day is still a great value for struggling sound mixers and speaker-based Motorola employees and of course, all the other working class. The snappy Vienna Beef Dog with the only condiments, consisting of yellow mustard, green relish, onions, and sport peppers, then smothered and covered in fries, "Depression style", is currently priced at $4.69!
