Visit Date: November 6, 2018 I thought we were done with the haircut saga of finding a new place after the unfortunate debacle at my former favorite place to go. But when we went to the Lindenhurst supercuts for haircuts they were closed and hubby found out that this one was by our house and open later hours so we decided to go. Our experience here was amazing. Our hair stylist was very quick and our 2 year old was actually pretty good for his hair cut. I'm sorry to do this because I never do but I'm over it. Two separate times in the last couple of years I've gone into this salon for a simple trim and ended up with a hack job. I guess that's my mistake for going back in the first place. My hair was more than halfway down my back today when I walked in and now it's practically shoulder length and not even the same length on each side. I've been growing my hair out for years and I just lost all of that progress... I'm so disappointed. I know it's just hair and it'll grow back but I'm honestly just so upset... the first picture is what I ended up with today and the second one is what I had... I originally told the woman cutting my hair that I wanted a trim to take off the dead ends and when she showed me how much I would need taken off, it was roughly about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. West Babylon location is filthy. My second visit and no improvement. The staff is nice and do their best to make the customer comfortable and provide affordable services. Management not on site during either visit and apparently don't visit often. As one of the first customers this morning, the condition of the salon was surprisingly poor considering the Covid protocols of customer safety they are trying to implement. read more

I have gone to the Supercuts in West Babylon on more than one occasion and have left unhappy. The stylists themselves are very kind and pleasant people, but they consistently cut my hair much shorter than asked. My hair is all one length and usually only needs an inch or two trimmed, but the stylist must've taken 4-5 inches off the last time I went, and that was after I had asked twice that they not do more than 2 inches. Additionally, I understand this is likely not the individual store's decision, but $21 for a simple trim that takes 10 minutes seems excessive. read more

I will never return to this salon ever again. I have gone there at least 10 times in the last 2 years and every experience was worse than the last. The last time I was there I had Stephanie, who is very sweet and the only one who acknowledges the customer and gives a decent cut but I was less than thrilled with her co-workers. The tall Jersey sounding blonde older lady grates on my nerves every single time I'm there. She must be a manager but you can't be sure because I don't know any managers that act the way she does. She stands around and complains about the details of her divorce with customers on the floor and is loud and obnoxious about it. First of all, the last time I was there, I waited a good 45 minutes and no one even asked if I was waiting for a cut or dye or a wash or anything. Then, when it was my turn, they automatically walked me to the chair but I told them I wanted a wash. A very simple and basic request from a hair salon. My cut came out very nice but then they wanted me to leave with wet hair in the middle of January and I said I wanted a blow out. They were flabbergasted by this. My stylist apparently had to pick her kid up from the bus and I was keeping her from doing that. The big annoying blonde actually said, in front of me, "you're doing a blow out!? Now!?" They actually made me feel like I was bothering them with this. Had they asked me from the beginning what I wanted done, they could have assessed whether or not they had time to take me before they had to leave for the day. Unfortunately, a good haircut is not enough to save this place for me. Good service and bedside manner are important as well. I will never ever go back here. Run away! read more

I love the haircut, but... They added on $1 for a conditioning treatment that was done that they did not ask me for, nor did I request it. Billed me twice for one spray and did not give me the bogo 50% off for the mousse. Overcharge by $31. I requested the correction, but... They charged me correctly for the products, but for a glazing I did not get. Overcharge of $16.50. I went back for the correction again. The third correction reflected the products I purchased and the services requested (minus the treatment I did not ask for). Check your receipt before leaving. In total they would have overcharged me by $47.50. read more

My wife took my 7 year old girl for a back to school haircut today. I heard this story 3 times today. Place was empty when she walked in. Should've turned around and walked out at that point. She asked about a price.... $14.50 is INSANE. But you don't know until you try it... Right?? Terrible customer service. No offer to wash her hair. No offer to blow it dry. I went for a cut today and didn't like the service. Chairs by the sink were not comfortable. The women never adjusted the chair properly. She claimed she had two years experience. More like a day. Nice cut. However, she didn't like my tip either. I won't go back. That is because she had an attitude toward my tip. Maybe if she adjusted the chair I would have given more. Terrible. Brought in my 12 year old daughter for 2" trim and she cut off at least 6". My daughter went from pretty long hair to weird bob. How could such a simple task be so screwed up. However the customer service as a whole is terrible no one greets you when you walk in or even looks up at you they just call out who's next in line. As a guy, I have pretty low standards for a haircut.. just make it short. The woman who cut my hair did such a horrible job at blending the side to into the top that I had to get another haircut today to fix it, for the first time in my life. In my 2nd haircut of the weekend, I also found out that she didnt cut it to the correct length, I asked for a 0 and she used a 1. Literally, my request was to shave it all down on the sides and blend into the top, there should be zero room for error there. I've had questionable cuts before from here, but with short hair, I can usually salvage it. Not this time. Will absolutely never be back. As they say, you get what you pay for. My boyfriend came here today because his barbershop was packed. He came home and his haircut was so uneven I thought the girl that cut his hair might have had her eyes closed as she did it. Maybe it was an off day but the hair on the right side of his head is literally an inch taller than the left. Got the worst haircut there yesterday. My hair was pretty long and with spring/ summer almost here I was ready for a change (which I do every year). I showed the lady a picture of how I wanted my hair and she grimaced that it was a lot shorter. I said it was fine that's what I wanted. I also showed her where I wanted my hair to be (right above my shoulder). Well what she did to me was turn my hair into a big poof on top of my head. Did she not realize that my hair is very wavy and when you cut it it curls up so you have to cut it longer to make up for it curling. We'll now I have a million short layers throughout my hair and they're just poofing up all over the place. I've never came home and cried after a haircut but I guess there's a first for everything and yesterday was it! I know I should have said something while I was there but I was trying to stay positive and thought I could style it a bit when I got home but that's not the case bc there no hair to style. Just a big ball of hair. I will never go back there. And then they don't even dry it for you. She offered to put some gel in it but I declined. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. read more
