Teri What can I say other than THANK YOU! I was traveling through Islip and about to visit with family. For some reason I decided to box dye my hair a few nights before and I did it soooo badly. Teri took one look at it and said, "I can fix this" and SHE DID! I feel so lucky to have landed in her chair. You guys, I can't even describe how badly I messed up my own hair and how beautifully Teri fixed it. She did a fantastic job and she did it efficiently. I walked out with beautiful highlights that softened up the whole look and lifted me back to 'blonde'. She worked miracles, I swear. Also, the gal in her chair before me also got color and it was beautiful. That client had never had color and Teri did a beautiful, flawless balayage that looked natural and really suited her skin tone. Can't say enough good things about Teri and her skills as a stylist! I visited this salon today because I desperately needed a haircut, and I wasn't able to go to my regular salon. I was lucky enough to be able to get an appointment with Mia, who is a sweetheart. She is meticulous, quiet, and kind, and she did a fabulous job on my hair! It's the best cut I've had in a while as I was well overdue! She also talked to me about highlights and gave me her recommendations. I could definitely see how knowledgeable she was, and normally I wouldn't trust a hair cutting place to do color service, but I would trust Mia! I love that you can book haircut appointments online....makes life so much easier! I definitely recommend this salon, and I plan to return. Thank you, Mia for a wonderful experience! read more

I love this place so much!! Mia is the best!! She gave me exactly what i wanted and she even recommended some after care and told me how to take care of my hair since i got a full head of highlights and i have very think hair, she was so extremely patient with the amount of hair she had!!! I made an appointment for my daughter, for just a trim. The stylist (didn't get her name) took her back & wet her hair down a bit with a spray bottle. She then trimmed her hair, not evenly, I'm sorry to say. She used a curling iron on damp hair ( I could see the steam coming up from her hair) & then used a blow dryer to dry the hair she just curled. Why? When she was finished, she charged me $30! We booked with them because they're usually reasonable. We asked for a trim, not curling or blow drying. I feel the stylist added services to increase the price! I should have been more aggressive & told her to stop - my bad. Now I know & will not be going back there. read more

if I could give 0 stars... I would. gloria completely messed up me and my sister's hair. she made my layers WAY too short and didn't blend them at all. then did a "messy blow dry" as she called it which just consisted of her running her fingers through my hair for 30 minutes. she then put way to much gel and mousse in my hair. so much so, it was stiff afterwards. moving into my sisters hair... she told gloria to trim her bangs and not to touch the sides since she's growing them out. she left with her bangs VERY uneven and way shorter than a trim. we both had to re-wash our hair and style it at home to figure out how to make it look better. they also charge extra for blow drying which I find very odd. read more

I booked an updo hair appointment yesterday at 2:30 PM. The woman on the phone told me it would be tricky but she can have one of the girls style my hair. I said awesome, thank you and booked it, emphasizing I can only do a 2:30 time slot, she wrote my name down and said they can do it!!! . The following day, today- I received a phone call at 10 am stating they cannot take me at 2:30 and if I can come in at 12. I made a point yesterday to say I am short on time. I can ONLY go at 2:30 because that is when I get out of work. I was forced to cancel my appointment. After trying numerous hair salons to get an appointment at 2:30 on a Friday I had no luck. I called back an hour later and asked since my appointment was CANCELLED if I could come in at 2:30 for a trim and blowout. The woman told me no, they are booked. How unprofessional! I have a wedding this evening and was trying to get my hair done. The woman did kindly call me back and tell me she moved people around and can get me in at 2:00. For the 3rd time I told Lemon Tree- I can ONLY go at 2:30. So now I am unhappily going to a wedding without my hair styled. Although they tried to accomodate me- overall a terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend booking with them unless you're okay with the possibility of them cancelling on you 4 hours before you're supposed to get your hair done on a Friday afternoon for a special event. Stopped in last week to get a quick trim on my bob. Never expected such an amazing haircut! Margie was my stylist. She cut it in such a way that it lays flat - barely have to touch it with the flat iron. She also put in some light layers. All in all, a great haircut by an obviously experienced stylist. Be aware... They have coupons online but they are deceptive. You can get a coupon for a $14 haircut but they add on $10 if you get it blow dried so apparently you have to present the coupon and say this is what I want. This and only this. I saw them do this to an 87 year old lady while I was in there today. The haircuts here are hit or miss. After seeing this I won't be back. read more

Do NOT go here! I don't even think I could call this place a salon. I asked for a simple haircut and showed the hair stylist a photo. The hair cut she gave me looked like a 5 year old did it. I have a layer on the side of my head that is the level of my ear and my hair was two different lengths. When I went back to show the manager the awful hair cut, she didn't even offer to give me my money back. Just a free hair cut next visit. Too bad I will never go here again. Also the staff is very rude. While I was getting my hair cut, the hair stylist next to me openly complained how stingy the customers are and how she has to deal with pain in the butt customers just to get stiffed on her tips. Incredibly unprofessional. The manager also gave me an attitude and treated me like a child. I'm 26 years old and know a bad hair cut when I see one. Now I have to go spend money on hair extensions to fix my hair. They also ripped off my sister. She went in with a coupon online and was told she was only going to get charged $10 extra, but after the haircut was done she was charged $20 extra. Complete rip off. If you want your hair cut to look like a 5 year old did it. by all means go to this "salon". read more
