I returned for my second mani/pedi service. Alicia really listened to my feedback from my last shellac manicure that her manicurist completed for me. The manicurist, Luz, started my manicure and Alicia applied the Shellac. It was so cool because she was teaching Luz along the way. I thought this was a very professional way to handle the situation and it's always nice to see that experienced professionals are teaching the more novice. To be clear--my haircut was not horrible, but it wasn't good either, with Alicia. My hair is very thick and therefore has a lot of weight so I asked for it to be thinned out a bit to help take some of the heaviness. However it was not layered accordingly and more bluntly cut leaving a thick and heavy bottom, in the way of a straight line. It doesn't look like an experienced professional did it. Also they have terrible time management and take way longer to complete the tasks than any salon I've ever been to. Even when I specifically stated I needed to leave at a certain time, Alicia disregarded and took a long time ignoring my time needs. read more

AMAZING! My hair was very damaged from over 6 months of not getting it cut, using terrible products, and bleaching it myself. Alisha managed to transform my hair into absolute health and perfection! Hands down the best cut I've ever had and my first professional color that I've had and I am very happy with the results! I showed her pictures of what style I was going for and she did a perfect job. I also happen to be vegan, so seeing how this salon is so environmentally conscious comforted me in he fact that I could be a conscious consumer here. In addition to the care she takes for the health of her clients' scalps and the health of the earth, it is obvious that Alisha takes great pride in her work and she didn't cut any corners, so to speak, with my hair. I have a LOT (and I mean a LOT) of hair and I've had stylists who try to rush through and don't necessarily take the time my hair needs. I didn't feel like she rushed through and furthermore I could tell she went the extra mile to care and double check her work, seal the ends of my hair, as well as make sure my hair was perfect before I left. They are very nice, but my cut did not look like the simple cut in the picture I provided (long bob with simple face-framing layers). Note that I have normal thickness, fairly manageable, straight hair. Alicia labored during styling to make it look like the picture, and it looked OK when I walked out, but quickly strayed due to excessive choppy layering in the back... very The Rachel-esque after washing/drying at home. She may have been a bit rushed since they fit me last minute. On top of everything, they charged me $120 which was unexpected since my friend with longer hair was only charged $80.... maybe summer pricing? Maybe I'm just cheap? It was still a lot considering I wore my hair up with bobby pins for 2 months. My friend's super long hair looks great and she gave minimal guidance... so maybe don't get a last minute appointment and let them just do what they know how to do well. read more

Okay so I'm the type of person who owns a crappy hair dryer, and a paddle brush and wears my hair up in a bun most of the time. Alicia and Maria know this about me. I don't hide my lack of skills. Alicia is an artist. I'm a very fussy redhead who had trouble maintaining my hair when I relocated from the city and left behind my long-time colorist (a red specialist) and stylist. After several disastrous attempts at my local salon, I tried Revolve. Alicia really listened to my description of the color I wanted, and made recommendations about the best way to achieve it. I am one of those picky ladies that can't seem to find the right shade of blonde, never happy with highlights, etc. I have lived in the Hamptons for 15 years now and I have tried everyone ( I mean EVERYONE) from Hampton Bays to Amagansett, so trust me when I tell you that for me to stay with Alycia for years now- she has to be on her game. She is up to date, for sure. I don't ever leave there with cotton candy blonde hair. I don't look like I am 40 going on 50- I look like I should for a contemporary blonde. I have highlights around my face and toward the ends where it would naturally be blonder. She got me from having to bump my base to my own natural color. When I got to her I was "orange"- never again. The hallmark of a professional is that she is out there watching and learning. I could not find a better colorist in NYC- where I lived for 10 years. I used to go back and forth to get my 600 highlights because I had tried everyone out here and was disappointed. And I was always irked to pay so much for bullshit highlights that were just ok. My hair is healthy and looks great. She gives the best haircuts too which is just a huge bonus as her color is amazing. Very rare to find that combo. I bring my three daughters to her as well. They have long hair, and they look amazing. I used to bring them to someone else for trims but with her they look good for so long its worth it. She only trims me twice a year and I am blonde with long hair! No damaged hair or split ends. And the products! She does her homework. I did not know what Davines was until I went here. The best products I have ever used. I don't shy from spending money on worthy things, services but I get really miffed when things are pricey and not worth it. I have never felt like this even once coming out of this salon whether its a haircut, blow out, color or product. Also- for a 44 year old out here in the boon docks I have an excellent play list now! Thank you Alycia! I shazam all the music she plays so I can stay in the loop. PS. The staff could not be nicer and more professional. They are all great! I have hair down to my butt and haven't had it cut in 3 years because I have babies and toddlers and I don't trust anyone with my hair, etc...I was in NY visiting from Boston and decided to get a cut at Revolve. Best. Haircut. Ever. I trust no one when it comes to my hair, I always tell them, trim the dead, leave the length, long layers. But I felt like Alicia understood what I needed and wanted so I told her that I was comfortable taking off some length and let her kind of decide what to do. It only took about an hour for a cut and dry. Everyone was extremely professional, the salon was beautiful, the lighting was great (you know how sometimes the lighting in a salon is so bad you just stare at yourself the whole time cringing because the light is terrible? That was NOT the case here). The attention to detail in the salon really showed, and the assistant was very, very professional. She was definitely watching Alicia work her magic and she brought me some very delicious coffee. This will be the only place I get my hair cut from now on - and that says a lot since I live in MA. The highest endorsement possible-- I had two appointments with Alicia to do my hair for two different wedding events and was slightly nervous about trusting someone I'd never met with such important events, but I shouldn't have worried, because she exceeded every hope and expectation. I explained what I wanted and she executed it exactly- the first day, a beautiful blowout with lots of soft volume that held all night, and the second day, a half up/half down look that was perfection. My hair looked beautiful both days and it gave me such confidence during the most important weekend of my life! I smile every time I look at the photos.
