This was my first time to this new W. Babylon Ulta location. It was a miserable experience. The store was stocked with the usual items, nothing new. We saw some strange random woman/employee picking up sprays off of the shelves and spraying her hair while we were in the aisles near her??? (I have allergies). I found what I needed and went to the register. I was asked to put in my phone number for rewards points and said no thank you. I was then told, "you have to, you won't be able to make a purchase otherwise" and "I don't care if you if you have to make something up, but you need to put information in for points". I asked if she was serious, she said yes. I told her to keep the product, which of course can be purchased on amazon cheaper. It's hard to find good help, but shame on Ulta for lack of training. I have had problems with customer service at other Ulta locations. There are so many other places to get the same product. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone and will never return.
*I did speak to the manager who apologized and said she would speak to the employee but in this case, the damage is done. I will never return to this store or any Ulta location. C'mon Ulta, do better - are you putting this much pressure on employees for customers to sign up for rewards?
***UPDATE: I am no longer an Ulta Customer and won't waste my time reaching out. Ulta, you should reach out to the West Babylon team to correct all. I'm not interested in contacting via email or other, only to get a script response/apology with promises of a coupon or gift card. Not interested. Ulta's lack of customer service and high prices don't warrant effort. I have already purchased the item on Amazon. *This is not the first location or time I've had a problem with rude or untrained Ulta employees but it will be the last. Shame on Ulta for putting pressure on employees and not training them properly. Perhaps Ulta should be more in contact with all employees at all levels to make sure this doesn't happen again to other customers. read more
