The type of bright color I was hoping to transition to.

I went in for a consultation. I saw a stylist and we talked about having my hair lightened. I told the stylist I wanted to gradually transition to a bright purple. The stylist told me he could get me to full purple in one session based on my results from the strand test he did. I am still brunette. I came back the next day to speak with the manager. During my meeting with the manager of Studio Trio she told me it was impossible to get my hair the color I wanted the first try. She said that I would need to get my hair lightened regularly (as I had asked for before). The manager refused to refund my money and tried to up sell me on different treatments. The salon also over charged me by $200.

I have had multiple appointments at Studio Trio with various members of their awesome team, but the most recent time was this weekend. I am a Covid bride, and my bridal shower was in my backyard as all other plans have failed me! When I showed up to my appointment, everyone was super kind. I look back on all of the times I went there, and I remember each time being asked what the occasion was, and then talking about it for the entire day. They actually CARE! I have really thin, boring hair and Brittany gave me a blow out and I got so many compliments. I felt so beautiful. Thank you so much ladies, you truly made my day 248329048 times better.

The second time, I got booked with the owner, and unfortunately, she messed up my hair. I left a review explaining my experience (as anyone would), and that should've been the end of it. But no, when i tried to book with John again, I got a personal call saying I wasn't allowed back--because I didn't reply to her response on my review. I didn't realize hair appointments now come with emotional homework. If a business owner can't handle honest feedback without making it personal and petty, it says a lot more about their professionalism than any haircut ever could. since i can't reply to owners response i'll add it here. Thanks to the owner for confirming everything I said. Instead of accepting a customer's feedback gracefully, she chose to write a paragraph blaming my hair type, another salon, and me for not replying to her review response. For the record, I didn't realize that replying to google comments was part of the booking policy here. I was trying to see John again -someone I had a good experience with. But I guess when you're the owner, professionalism is optional. Best of luck to the other stylists who actually treat their clients with

I went here for the first time after some work colleagues recommended Maria for blonde highlights…read more I brought pictures and stressed the fact I DID NOT want my hair yellow/golden blonde ( I personally do not wear it well and my colleagues have a gorgeous icy/silver that I thought she would be capable of doing on me as well ). I asked for ashy/silver blonde and left with 5 different color blondes in my hair, none of which matched what I asked for as a few pieces were even orange. PRIOR to even making my appointment, I told Maria my hair takes about 3 1/2 hours because I wanted to make sure the time allotted was adequate. My hair was done in two hours ( including cut and blowdry) and she even stated " next time we can go more silver/ashy". Pretty sure she knew the color was off immediately, but I personally can never tell with the salon lighting. That comment alone made me feel uneasy and I had a feeling it was going to be wrong. After looking in several different lightings and realizing how horrible my hair looked, I returned a few days later ( when my work schedule allowed) and Larry did a glaze for me. Unfortunately, but not to his surprise, the glaze did not help because the foil did not lift my hair where it needed to be to create the ashy blonde desired. I have been getting my hair highlighted since I am 13 years old and have had icy/silver before ( my base is also dirty blonde and warm so if done correctly, should be easily achieved by a professional). I called back to come in to get my hair re foiled as it was nowhere near what I asked for, but I think Larry already knew that. I was extremely embarrassed and unhappy with my hair and didn't even want to wear it down for the next several days . When I called back I was told I would need to pay for some of the service as "communication" was off the first time and it was going to be a lot of work. I was very direct and communicated several times that I DID NOT want my hair yellow/gold and provided photos prior to my first service. I am not sure how much clearer I could have possibly been. Communication on my end was NOT off and I felt like Larry was putting the blame on me for Maria's poor performance that day. To ask me to repay for what I already paid for is poor customer service in my opinion. It should have been done right the first time and none of us would have been in this situation, especially me. He saw my hair and knew it was nowhere near what I asked for so to place the blame on me was extremely uncalled for and his frustration was entirely misplaced. It was not my lack of communication that caused this outcome and I was very taken back and offended that it was portrayed in this way. After being totally disgusted by the outcome and then being told I had to pay for repairs, I cancelled that appointment. Not even ONE time did Maria reach out and apologize or try and make it right. It was all put on me to try and figure it out if I WANTED it fixed. You have to be kidding me! This is not how my situation should have been handled and quite honestly the salon should be ashamed of themselves for handling it in this manner. That's bad business. Her statement alone showed she knew the color was off after she blew my hair out, so accountability for her mistake would have been much appreciated. I felt my situation wasn't handled correctly at all as I was very open and honest about what I wanted. If Maria needed clarification, which I find hard to believe, then she should have asked. Although I wasn't charged for my glaze, I did leave a tip on the counter for Larry and the shampoo girl ( sorry I forgot her name) because I felt that was the right thing to do. However, the right thing for them to do for ME would have been to refoil my hair, FREE OF ANY CHARGES, if that's what was needed to achieve the DESIRED OUTCOME. My hair has never taken two hours to complete so I should have known something was wrong then. I believe the photos speak for themself so do with it what you will. The salon is adorable and the cut and blow out were nice, but the color is embarrassing and their approach to make it right was subpar to say the least. How does a stylist not even reach out to an unhappy client?! That alone just blows my mind.
