Ok, if Mohamed is willing to admit he goes to Great Clips, I should be cool with Supercuts, right? As a guy, I'm not into paying $60 for a cut and blow dry. Outside of maybe John Edwards, I can't think of anyone who'd do that. No sea kelp protein pack. No frosted tips or faux-hawks. Just keep my cowlick down, don't use a bowl and I'm pretty happy! But it does take a bit of time to find the right hair stylist for anyone. So after many failed and butchered attempts at cutting my hair, I've finally ended up at Supercuts because they're convenient (Cameron Village) and all the stylists seem pretty decent! For $14, you should look pretty good coming out of the place and they've got a good selection of hair products for men and women. No appointments necessary unless you want a specific stylist. Typically there are three on-duty at any time. They've done me right more times than not even though I sort of got a puppy-cut the last time I was there. Must be the warm spring weather but you know what? It'll grow back... So a thumbs-up for Supercuts if you're a guy on a hair styling budget! read more

All dependent on your hair stylist. I have been there 3 times, 2 of the times were good haircuts, no complaints just a little pricey. 3rd haircut this lady was just grabbing my hair so hard, cut up the back of my head with her razor. Whole back of my head was scratched up badly just from here seeming to not give a shit. She was mean and rude, which stinks because my first 2 stylists were great. Unfortunately I can't go back because I don't want my head to be all scratched up again. It was a pretty crazy scenario, asked her to lighten up a little and just seemed like she took offense to it. This Supercuts is the only value salon I trust. I've been mostly going to Tamika for over a year now and she is super friendly and accommodating. The staff here is efficient and they do a good job of answering the phone to make 30 min appointments. Because I've had several bad haircuts through the years, I bring along a picture and walk the hairdressee through what I want. Ive never had a bad haircut here as a result of this practice; it is the only way to go if you aren't willing to cough up $50. read more

When I had lack of time and desperately needed a haircut, I went back to this location and was pleasantly surprised by the service! My stylist (I forgot her name unfortunately) was amazing and got everything right! The only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes it can get busy and lead to wait times so be sure to plan ahead, but way better service this time around!!!!! read more

Best Supercuts! We don't have these where I live in MD, but wanted to get a cut and some highlights while I was on vacation. I was referred here by someone on the street. Best decision I've made while here! They are ON POINT with the sanitation standards during the Covid pandemic, customer service and quality of service. I was so impressed. I had no appointment, but was able to walk in with no wait time and was greeted by the most friendly stylist named Diana. We talked and laughed together throughout the long process it takes to get full highlights. LOVED MY HAIR!! Loved it so much that I ended up coming back two more times for her to wash and style my hair again before I left to go back home to Maryland. It's hard to find a stylist that you can just wave to when you walk in and they know exactly what you want and how you like your hair. She spaced and colored the highlights perfectly! I highly recommend THIS Supercuts and specifically Diana if you are getting any type of color processing done to your hair. She's very very talented at what she does. I'll be back to Raleigh when I need my highlights updated! I wish I could bring her home with me!! read more

Actually got a decent haircut here. The only serious downside was the wait. Be sure and call in for a appointment no matter where you are. I had people who had called in, while I was already waiting, and then skip me in line. I had to wait 45 minutes to get a haircut. So basically, even from the parking lot call ahead and it will help you out. Other than that, it was fairly clean with friendly staff. read more

I walked in. It was busy and I was scheduled for 45 minutes later. A nice excuse to go shopping! I returned and she got down to business. I walked out with exactly what I wanted. My experience here was delightful. I asked for a 3 inch cut off the bottom, a decrease in the length between my layers, and a trim for the layers. I wasnt looking for a state of the art style but not an easy peezy even cut either. The stylist was receptive and asked a few questions to confirm. She worked quickly, but in no way rushed. I liked how she seemed to be enjoying herself while she worked. Very personable and didnt talk too much...nothing like other experiences where ive felt held captive in the stylist chair with a chatty Cathy!! The place was bright and happy. The price was right!!! 14 bucks for a hair cut?? Absolutely. It's extra for a shampoo , but still not unreasonable. The location is spot on, as I mentioned the ease of shopping in Cameron Village while I waited, and after the fact too. If you are looking for an efficient & reasonably priced cut, in a great location to boot, without all the bells and whistles- I suggest this place! read more

Can't beat it for location or good basic haircuts. I have my bangs trimmed here very often and the girls treat it like a real haircut. Very precise and they take their time. They want you to be happy. Waits can be long because it's popular! Not a bad thing to wait for something good at a good price. read more

Not too bad. Just like any other supercuts though where they are average at a lot of hairstyles instead of really good at a few. I definitely prefer going to a barber to get my haircut and hang on to the same barber once I know they cut my hair right but I was in A rush so I went here. Not bad but not great, you get what you pay for with this one. I can only guarantee that your hair will be shorter when you leave here! read more

I have been to expensive salons by the dozens and can honestly say that Catrina gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I have NEVER been treated with so much disrespect and unprofessionalism in a salon (Sarah needs to go back to school to learn the basic of cutting hair and what customer service is). I planned to get a haircut that was quite drastic since I was cutting my waist-length hair to my shoulders and growing out my naturally thick, curly hair, as I have been chemically straightening it. Because of this, I reviewed Supercuts and saw the review about Sarah being "the best" and asked for her while making sure she was able to cut curly thick hair. I was told that she was experienced. I went in and started to question her experience when I saw that she was cutting my layers in a careless way and then didn't check to see if my layers on each side lined up. Since my hair was wet (also arguably not a great way to cut curly hair because you can't see the curl pattern) I could only see that the shortest hair pieces, flanking my middle part, were not matching up at all, so I asked her if this should be the case. She said yes and corrected them. But by the time I got to paying (I had forgotten my wallet in an another bag at home) my partially dry hair was showing that the layers on both sides of my head were not matching up, so, therefore, I had a completely different look on both sides of my head! I came back in and told her to please take a look at the layers and she immediately became defensive. She did not even check the layers, she just started to cut absentmindedly (the shorter side of my head as I watched in horror). I then told her what she had done and she just got super flustered and told me I was making her uncomfortable and blaming me for her incompetence by saying that my head had been tilted (which as a hair stylist is your job to communicate with your client throughout to make sure the hair is cut proportionately). Finally, after making me feel like I did something wrong (by calling me mean and saying how she didn't understand me and felt uncomfortable around me when I was trying to explain the basics of cutting hair and that blaming me did not make sense) she asked someone else to do my hair. To make a long story short, the next hair stylist told me that it wasn't my fault, Sarah had definitely messed up my hair, and that this was not the first time that she had done so to other customers. Also, as this professional-acting hairstylist did my hair, Sarah continued to act exasperated and inferred that I had made her stressed out even more than some other issue she had going on in her life, right in front of me. To say the least, I have NEVER been treated so poorly and unprofessionally in a salon in my life! I will not be going back to this Supercuts again, although I was finally happy with the second woman who cut my hair, who felt so bad that she made my haircut complimentary. read more

Very rude experience today. We came in over an hour before closing with only one person waiting. Without asking how many we needed, we were rudely told we could not be seen today. This was contrary to what was listed on the website. As a regular customer here, I would never expect this type of rude treatment. I would give Supercuts of Cameron Village zero stars, if this rating were possible. I took my 7-year-old son here for a haircut and we experienced the absolute worst customer service possible. The stylist was beyond rude. She didn't ask me or my son how we wanted his hair styled. She was very rough. Practically pushed him into the chair and proceed to comb through his tangled hair with such force and lack of care that he started crying in pain. She didn't care that she was hurting him and proceeded to bark orders to him about holding his head still. I suggested using detangling spray. She said it wouldn't make a difference. I have never left in the middle of service before, but I was so upset by her cruel treatment of my son that we left. We went across the street to Arrow Haircuts (also in Cameron Village). It was a night and day experience. The Arrow staff/stylists were very warm and friendly. They gave him a great cut. This is the place we will continue to go. We will NEVER give Supercuts our business again. My son's words about his experience at Supercuts at Cameron Village: "The stylist was horrible and mean. I didn't like how she yelled at me. I was in pain when she yanked at my hair and she didn't care. I am glad my mom took me out of there!!" read more

This place is awful. I live in the Cameron Village area and have multiple times have mad appointments as required. On three different occasions I have had to wait 45-1 hour after appt time to get in the chair. The staff is not friendly and seems to be stressed out over the volume they have compared to stylist working. I WOULD AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! Doesn't matter if you have an appointment still waiting. I have seen other reviews on google and they are not good as well. These people but be a rare breed or friends and family of stylist. I know a lot of other people that tried this location and have same experience. They are trying to be a high star stylist place but they are below a half star. read more
