I was a walk in. I have short hair and a typical haircut takes less than 10 minutes. The store was empty, and there was not even an employee at the front or visible. Eventually she wandered out, and asked if I had booked online. No, I was a walk-in. She said she had someone in 20 minutes (18 actually) and another after that and she could not take me until a few hours later with a different stylist. I mentioned that I didn't think it would take her 10 minutes. She became surly and totally unwilling to do anything. Horrible service. I'm a GREAT tipper, her loss. Never going back there. read more

Even the regional manager of all the stores named Erica was trying to tell me the customer that even when you make an online appointment, you are subject to waiting for hours even when you arrive early. Like I did. I was refused a haircut due to calmly voicing my understanding. Erika would not give me a haircut because I gave a bad vibe to her. So I feel management should know this occurrence and be ready for outcome with this type of worker. I will never come to this establishment at all ever and will share the unprofessional behavior. We live right around the corner and my husband has been trying to make an appointment online. Past experiences have been good- staff is friendly and he's been satisfied with the work. However, lately he's seen on the website that it gives a 0 minute wait time. When he actually makes a reservation there actually IS a wait and he ends up getting signed up for hours later. It's getting pretty frustrating because he's not able to plan accordingly. It seems that the staff is not updating the website to reflect the actual volume that they are experiencing. Here's why: Yesterday my husband walked in at noon after seeing 0 minutes on the website. The lady told him she was busy for the next few hours, she was alone. A few minutes after he stepped out the website was all of a sudden showing that there wasn't availability until 4 pm. I have used Supercuts at Metro Town Center in Phoenix regularly over the past year ... that means about a dozen times ... and have had very mixed results. Only one of the stylists "Jazzy" has given me the right cut every time. I check to see if she is working and wait for her. Two different stylists cut my hair like they where shearing lambs. THEY DID NOT LISTEN. I am still growing a patch of hair back on the left side that was whacked away by one scissor bandit. Jazzy has been helping me get it back to the right length. This is a simple haircut. I am a man. I want the 'SAME LENGTH ALL OVER' and for it to be trimmed out around the ears. This does not mean three inches long on one side and on inch long in a patch on the other side. My instructions are simple and easy to understand. Jazzy is getting it right, and it is about back where it should be, but a screw up like the last massacre takes at least four months to recover from. *** BUT THAT IS NOT THE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW. THIS IS: *** The shop recently was franchised and a new arrogant owner came in, raised prices and told me that my frequent cards were no longer valid. She took my discount cards away from me and would not give them back. Prices were raised, and apparently no loyalty promotions any longer. They insist on having your name, phone number, and email address so they can harass you with SPECIAL OFFERS. I GOT THIS TEXT THREE DAYS AGO (COPIED AND PASTED HERE): *** "It's been a while since we've seen you @ Supercuts Metro Towne Center. Here's a special offer: Adult haircut $13.95 (from 09/19 to 10/03) To unsub txt STOP" *** It was actually a week early for my haircut, but I bit on the offer. Before I sat in the chair I asked the "receptionist" what about this offer. She said she had never seen one before and said to ask the stylist. When I sat down, I asked Jazzy about it. She said that she didn't know what to do ... she had never seen one before. I got my haircut. It was a good one. At checkout both Jazzy and the receptionist shrugged at my request for the discount, and I was charged $17.50, with a senior discount. My receipt (they always ask if you want it) showed ZERO CUSTOMER POINTS, ZERO BALANCE. All previous points zeroed out. Apparently the new franchisee doesn't offer any incentives. "PAY UP! The highest price we can get from you. No discounts." Her loss! SO THERE YOU HAVE IT! I wish Jazzy would go to work somewhere else. But I don't want to go back to this Supercuts until new management comes to an awareness that this is a CUSTOMER SERVICE business, not the other way around. read more

I asked her if a certain haircut would suit me or not, straight away she said u should just get a trim instead of giving me any other options. 3. Since my hair was wet (n it was cold outside) I asked if she could blow dry it n she straight away mentioned that its gonna cost me another $26 (just to dry my hair, shez not even styling it!!) n now I have cold cuz I went out of the salon with wet hair. 4. I asked her to trim away my split ends n shez like u don't have any where as its quite visible I have. I felt she was just trying to get rid of me asap. Really bad experience n that too paying $20 for just trimming 1-2cm of hair that too not in symmetry??? Kisha is a well seasoned stylist who not only understands hair but listens as well! I loved that she didn't fill the time in her chair with pointless chatter as much as her pointed attention on how I requested my hair cut. She has such a natural sense- didn't take me right to the shampoo bowl but actually cut my hair mostly dry to watch it react to what she was doing It's been painstaking to find a stylist AND a positive experience getting my hair done. Bottom line is, I don't want the A-line You cut, I want the A-line that works with my cow licks and waning hairline like I communicated. :) Thanks K! The manager at this location refused to give her name when I told her i was going to contact the store owners, then she said she didnt care because they were corporate. (i would describe her appearance as a middle aged african american woman). This happened on 4/20/2018 around noon. I paid for the haircut and she refused to give it to me. I even pulled up my online bank statement and the money was withdrawn. Worst service ever!!! Also over priced. I went to get my haircut today. For the past several months I have been growing out my mustache and my hair. I now have a great handlebar mustache and my hair has begun to feather back nicely. I told the gentleman I was looking for a haircut to match my mustache, a longer hairstyle. I told him I wanted it a bit shorter on the sides and longer up top. He spun me around to show me a couple of pictures of men with buzz cuts. I said NO, *MUCH* longer. I mean come on, my hair was feathered back! So he nods like he knows what I'm talking. Before I know it, he's using clippers on my hair! I say loudly (to be heard over the clipper) that he's cutting my hair too short! He smiles, nods and proceeds to buzz cut my hair! I'm shocked at this point! Who would buzz cut feathered back hair without telling the customer??? I let the gentleman know again that he is cutting my hair too short. Again with the stupid grin and nod. Again with the complete disregard to what I'm saying. And he buzzes away my hair. My wife could hear me from across the salon. She's telling my daughter that I'm not happy, because she can hear my complaints. He cut off well over four inches of hair from the sides and back! I stopped him at this point and I remind him of what I asked for. Just a bit shorter on the sides, not SHORT! He tries to tell me that he misunderstood. I remind him that I well saying IT'S TOO SHORT. Several times. He ignored me. In the end, he finished my haircut and offered his apologies. The haircut itself looks presentable with enough product in it. I hate wearing product in my hair. Although the haircut is presentable, it is NOT what I asked for. I remind the gentleman that I will now have to wear his apology for months, until my hair grows back out. Do NOT get your hair cut here, unless you want someone else to decide how they're going to cut your hair. The stylist (vietnamese gentleman) does not listen! read more

We've been going here since this location opened, and we'd never had a bad experience until today. My wife has psoriasis on her scalp, and it's noted on her account. Every time we go, they say something about dandruff. Read the notes, please, it's not dandruff! Then today, the girl at the front desk told her she couldn't cut her hair today, because her scalp was irritated. I asked for an angled bob and they cut my hair without even doing the finger test to see if it was too short. after it was cut, I heard to late to go back and now I have a haircut that barely pulls into a ponytail like i ASKED for and short sides which i did not ask for. I explained that scheduled clients should get priority over a walk in, but they obviously don't undersrtand how appointments work at this location. First time reviewer... because of my frustration during this visit. The benefit of places like Super Cuts and Great Clips is that, while they may not have the best stylists, it is usually possible to quickly get in or out. While visiting relatives, I stopped in to get a haircut and was told there would be 35 (seemed pretty precise) minute wait. There were three people in the lobby waiting on haircuts. At this point I had an hour before I needed to leave for dinner so I decided to wait. After waiting for 30 minutes a dad and his two sons arrived. One stylists took the dad, and I assumed he had a call-in appointment. I was slightly irritated that they did not tell me there were three call-in appointments, as I doubted this gentleman would get his hair cut in 5 minutes. I didn't want to spend those thirty minutes waiting for nothing; however, I should have considered the sunk cost of my time. The second stylist took a person that was previously in the lobby. When the first stylist was finished with the father he took the second son. Even though it had been nearly an hour I was thinking, "at least I'm next in line for the stylist that is taking lobby patrons." At nearly exactly the one hour mark the dad walked over to me and apologized, as he had noticed my long wait. As I assumed, they had booked appointments over the phone. I informed him that I was not upset with him at all, but what a nice gesture. The stylists did not inform me of this, the customer did. The second stylist finished with her lobby patron and move on to... The third son. At this time (an hour and 15 minutes into my wait). My wife gave up waiting for me to pick her up, and started walking to this location from the nearby mall. I informed my family that I would be very late for dinner. I finally was called back. No "thank you for waiting, no sorry for your wait, no explanation that they had to serve the call-in customer first," nothing. As I got my hair cut in silence, the stylist pinched my neck in the apron snap. I couldn't hold back a small yelp of pain. No apology. Silent hair cut continues. Usually a stylist will slap his or her comb against my forehead multiple times during a haircut. Truly a testament to their speed as they switched from collecting strands to cutting said strands. This stylist got me right in the eyeball with the comb's teeth. Another small yelp of pain. No apology. I finally finished my haircut. A total of 12 words... Jason, how you like it?, this short?, strong hair, coupon?, and twenty dollars" were spoken from the time I sat down to the time I left. I was offered 3, $2 off coupons. Not only would I not return once, I would not return three times for sure. Because I am not one to complain with no solutions in mind, here is how this location could have salvaged this situation, and should treat future (not me) customers. Know the schedule for those customers that have called in an appointment so that you do not tell someone 35 minutes, then leave them waiting for ~1 hour and 20 minutes before they see a stylist. If this egregious breakdown occurs, promptly inform the customer of your error and provide him or her of his new wait time, so he can make an informed decision whether he wants to continue to wait or cut his losses. If the customer decides to wait, acknowledge the customer's wait and APOLOGIZE for wait. On final suggestion, please take the "walk-ins welcome" sign off your window. read more
