This place was a Real, Major Nightmare! Oh my gosh!! I can't even begin to relate how I felt after coming and having the lady chop my hair up. She literally took the same amount of time as another lady took doing my husband's very short hair cut and I paid quite a bit more for crap! I was not pleased. In all actuality, I think a 1 star is way too much! I would give no stars. This happened about 2011, the same time as my review for the last hair salon. I actually ended up going there to see if the woman there could do a better job on my hair since I have ethnic hair. Not trying to be stereotyping or even sound discriminatory but I think places like this really do not strive to go beyond their comfort zone! They should stick to straight hair, no curly, no wavy, straight up straight! That's it! Honestly, if the lady had actually been straight up with me and just told me she didn't know how to do my hair, I would have had more respect and understanding. I could have taken myself to a Salon that would understand my hair type because I do realize that not everyone has dealt with all the different ethnicities out there. I actually really respect those who do delve out of their comfort zone. In fact, I have a friend and she has done my hair since I was in grade school. She is white and she always did an amazing job especially in the later years when I was in highschool! She would relax my hair and really improved and I would trust her completely with my hair! But, what I am so annoyed about is the fact that inexperienced stylists act like they can do something when they don't even know to dry and straighten curly hair first and then cut it or it will be in uneven lengths! Rushing and trying to get everything done and leaving me with puffy hair that is chopped up is not a way to get a repeat customer! And, that's why I say, I will always go to Salons that have a reputation even if it means travelling to Chicago, IL where I know Sarah from Sarah's Salon, now known as Salon Decori, will take care of me! She's Amazing and Wonderful!! And that's just my dedication to loving my hair and being comfortable whether short or long, straight or curly and hair is something many countries see as a symbol of who you are and a status quo even! Maybe you women should think about how you would feel if someone chopped your hair and you had to wait until it grew again and it always makes me laugh when they say if you don't like a style or cut, you can come back and they will try again to make you happy, like I would ever give a second chance with my hair! There's a reason they say "First Impressions" and no, I will never have another impression of your company as a whole. My husband can go there because he is a man and gets pretty simple styles of course, he prefers his Barber Shops, but as for me, nope! Bye. read more
