Swindled again! I…read morecame here for a "kids cut " for my 10yo daughter and decided I would get a cut too at the same time. I asked the receptionist three times - between asking on the phone , asking when confirming and the day we arrived - what the " price " would be. They are shady and have always been shady when it comes to switching things up on you without telling you. I was told we were both booked with level 1 hairstylists. That my daughter would be $25 and I would be anywhere from $35-$70. I said what determines the price of mine , I was told " difficulty" of desired cut. I said ok well I just want a trim - 2-3in cut - nothing else. They said ok so it should be on the lower end but you'll be told by the stylist if it's not. We both get our hair done. He added face framing which isn't really my cup of tea , and my daughter got a simple trim of 2 in taken off. We go to check out- our total is $90. So I ask for a price breakdown- my daughter was charged $35 - I said I thought kid cuts are $25 , and I was told they are allowed so much " wiggle room " from the " guaranteed " price . Which then meant mine was $55. Because of this I left no tip- what I was anticipating leaving as a tip they charged me , so I felt bad but it was just another reminder why we no longer come here.

I have been here twice and I've been disappointed both times. First time I went in and asked her…read morefor lots of layers and honestly I believe she only gave me face framing layers she didn't bother to cut anything else. The cost of this haircut was way overpriced for the amount of hair she cut. Just yesterday I went in for a blow out and a very expensive one at that. She left it very frizzy and the style went away after a few hours. I'm sorry but the service here hasn't been great at all. The front desk is always scheduling me with the priciest stylist and it's never a good experience :(

I researched salons in my area and was impressed by the photos of hair color and cuts. However, I…read morewent in with hair well below my bra line and requested long layers. I thought I was having Kim cut my hair but instead it was an elderly asian lady who agreed to what I requested. I needed 3-4 inches off the bottom and requested long layers. I had to ask her what she was doing because the longest layer I had was at my ear. I have very curly hair and I cannot have short layers or I look like a clown. I was so upsaet I just wanted to leave. I was not greeted when I walked in and the salon had an odor. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I wish I had read the reviews - apparently she has been cutting hair there even after receiving bad reviews. Shame on this business for allowing someone that is not licensed to cut hair.

I can not detailed it anymore but it's bad. I will never, ever go back to that place. When it dried, I didn't love the color, but I was very nervous to call back and tell them that. Finally I got the courage to call and I was met with immediate grace and kindness from the owner, who told me to come back in because they wanted to make sure I loved it. The lady who did my hair stayed over an hour after her shift was done trying to find the right tone. She & the owner were both so kind, thanking me for telling them & letting them fix it, encouraging me to say what I really thought. I walked away happy not only with my hair but also the service I'd been given. I would definitely recommend Fantastic Sams!!

I came in for a shoulder-length cut. A tall stylist with brown hair brought me to her chair to get…read morestarted. I told her I wanted it cut to my shoulders and mentioned that my hair is medium wavy. She wet my hair and began cutting, but she cut it much shorter than shoulder-length before I could see how short she was going. She kept going for about an hour and a half, trimming away at the ends trying to make them "even," but the result still looks choppy. I wouldn't recommend this place if you don't want to risk leaving with a cut you didn't ask for.

Since it was midday on a weekday, I was able to get in within 20 minutes and the cut was exactly what I wanted. She gave me a true trim (not like some places where a trim is 7 inches off the bottom!) and thinned my hair exactly as I asked. Now everything is so much lighter and wavier- she told me on the phone she could cut wavy hair, and she was not kidding! Thank you Christy, already looking forward to my next appointment. :)

The salon was not clean, the girls at other stations were walking in and out between clients, loitering on the sidewalk, on the phone, just tacky.
