They gave an amazing scalp massage as part of my wash and they really took their time in every step of the process. They make a girl feel actually special when she's just going to get her hair cut! On top of the great experience itself, I really LOVE my haircut (thanks to Brianna!). I also really appreciated that they didn't try to sell me any products at checkout, but they did such a great job that I had to have what they were using! And as small as it sounds, they even put the product in a gift bag instead of just handing it to me over the counter. I'd have never thought anything of it, but those little touches add up! Now I'm wishing my hair grew a little faster just so I could go back sooner (and maybe I will go for a blowout just to treat myself every now and then)! Thank you all so much

Unfortunately, we've had a disappointing experience with this salon regarding pricing and…read morecommunication. My stepdaughter has been here several times, and on multiple occasions the final price has been higher than what we were expecting. The most concerning experience was her previous appointment. Additional work was performed that resulted in an upcharge, but neither my wife nor I was contacted beforehand to approve the additional cost. Since she is a minor and we are the ones responsible for payment, we should have been informed of the additional charge and given the opportunity to approve or decline it before the service was completed. We understand that prices can change depending on the amount of time, product, or work required. Our issue is not simply that the service cost more--it is that additional charges should be clearly communicated and authorized before the work is performed, particularly when the client is a minor. After experiencing pricing issues more than once, we are very disappointed with how this has been handled. I would strongly encourage the salon to be more transparent about pricing and to obtain a parent or guardian's approval before performing services that will increase the agreed-upon price for a minor.

I'm not ready to give in to paying hundreds of dollars for a cut & colour, and I'm very glad Glamour Cuts isn't either! "E" was my hairdresser - That's how it's pronounced, not how it's spelled but I'm not sure of the spelling so there we are. She was wonderful! Not only was she the perfect amount of friendly, she matched the colour I wanted PERFECTLY. Like exact perfectly. She was super easy to work with and it took no time at all to decide on the blend/shades, mix them, then apply it all to my head. I was there a little over an hour - another huge bonus since I'm definitely not used to spending that little time at a hair salon. They were very efficient and had you out fast, but I never once felt rushed. She gave me a cut too and once again, listened and understood perfectly what I was asking for. I'm in love with the cut and even more in love with the colour! It had been years since I changed it up, and for someone who never went more than a few months with the same hair colour, this felt really amazing. The atmosphere is very unassuming and the rest of the staff was a lot of fun. Everyone jokes and talks with another. The only thing that could make this absolutely perfect is complimentary wine/mimosas! (Thanks Texas, I've really gotten used to that being the norm, haha) Without a doubt, this is my new hair salon. :)

AVOID THIS PLACE! - HALF OF MY HAIR IS GONE!…read more I paid $235 for color and full highlights at SH Salon - Clear Lake, and I left extremely disappointed. The original stylist was Genesis. The color was not what I asked for, which is why she offered a second toner to try to correct it. However, my hair was already breaking off from the treated areas, so I left before the second toner because I was afraid more processing would make the damage worse. During the bleaching process, I noticed the bleach was dripping, which has never happened in my experience getting highlights. Then, right before being rinsed, the aluminum foil burned my scalp in an area about four inches in diameter. This is likely from the hair bleach dripping and reacting to the foil. I started noticing breakage while still in the chair, but I did not realize how bad it was until I got home and saw that the treated hair was continuing to break and fall out. There are chunks of strands of hair that have fallen out, I used to use a bigger ponytail, and not I'm having to double the ponytail for it to stay. Half of my hair has fallen out. I initially contacted Jeremiah, the Director over the SH Hair Salons, sent photos of the damage, and requested a full refund because of the breakage and incorrect color. He told me I needed to go into the store and have a manager look at my hair before any refund or resolution would be considered. Jeremiah also said he has been doing hair for 25 years and that a little bit of hair is supposed to fall out from highlights. I understand normal shedding can happen, but I have been getting highlights for around 20 years, and I have never had this much breakage, damage, or scalp discomfort. Regardless of what I say about my experience, he has downplayed what I say. I returned to the Clear Lake location and saw Libby, the manager, who tried to fix the mistake made by Genesis. She tried to salvage what she could, but a significant amount of my hair had already broken off and fallen out. She also could not get the color to match the honey blonde I originally came in for. I specifically wanted to be blonde, and the final result still does not match what I asked for. After going back in person like I was told, I continued messaging Jeremiah about a refund. Even after showing photos of my broken hair, hair that had fallen out, and the color not matching what I requested, he has not responded back to me about refunding me. My hair is fragile, breaking, visibly damaged, and still not the color I asked for. Very disappointing results, scalp discomfort during and after the appointment, and poor handling of the refund request. I would not recommend this salon.
