Horrible experience!! Save yourself $25 bucks! 2 second consultation to get told hair extensions are $600 - $800. You would think they wouldn't charge for a 2 second conversation, but they hard up for money. Hopefully they use the $25 towards customer service training! read more

I went to excellence salon because it has good reviews but i think is overrated because the service i got it was far from my expectations. I ve asked for a shampoo and blow out / flat iron and add on my clip on extensions. The hairstylist Marianne shampoo my hair and added no conditioner or anything, blow out was terrible and very very small quantity she used with the spray and seems like she had no clue with what she was doing with clip on extensions , added them straight on my hair witout preparring the roots with a comb and fix it.Horrible!!! To pricey for such of bad service (67-70$) That was my 1st time and the last one for sure!! read more

They fit me in on Saturday. Got to be honest the haircut was the most basic haircut i have ever had. There was nothing special and it looked the same straight as i do at home just a little shorter. Its still gets pretty tangled. There was no volume, no shine. This is probably because they use bed head products! Like what? Why? Can we say sulfate and silicone garbage. I'm sorry you cannot put that stuff on curly hair or any hair for that matter! you even sell better shampoo options and you use BedHead to wash with. Also when she was blow drying my hair it was literally smoking and my hair is healthy. Smoking! I mean when you see smoke that usually indicates you need to turn down the heat. Nothing was really wrong with it, it was just nothing special and it looked so limp and dull! read more

I've gone to Excellence for probably the last 2-3 years for all my hair needs, and they are great! I see Mary, because she is one of the few people I've met in life that knows how to deal with hair such as mine (i.e. naturally crazy, curly and thick) Not only does she always give me what I was looking for, we chat it up the whole time...and that's a long time because I'm there anywhere between 2-3 hours for my appointments. Not because of slowness, because of my crazily thick hair! I usually get my color, cut and style for around $80-90 and then I tip pretty well, so I usually spend about $110-120 every 2-3 months....not bad for how long my hair is. On top of that, they are a full service salon and offer not only hair, but makeup, pedis, manis, and spa treatments too! I have yet to get a massage there, but I hear their masseuses are very good. I have gotten a foot massage and pedi and that was to die for...even though I have ticklish feet. I will definitely be back in another 2-3 months for hair maintenance...and believe it or not, they actually did my Halloween makeup last year...Elvira never looked so good! read more

I am visiting from out of state and had a hair emergency (wine was involved...), it was Friday night and I was going out of my mind. The great reviews for Excellence helped me pull the trigger on my decision on where I should go. Unfortunately, the salon was already closed for the night; however, they have a very simple online booking program so I was able to slide in for a next-day Saturday appointment. Woohoo! I met my hairstylist, Kristi, who was an absolute gem! I told her my embarrassing moronic story and she just smiled and said "I've been there," and offered me some wine. She checked out my hair and I was pleased to hear that she was going to be able to fix it very easily and explained what she was going to do. After a lovely shampoo, Kristi got to work with the shears; all the while, making small talk that made me increasingly more confident in her abilities, and much less stupid about my situation. Barely any time passed at all when Kristi was finished and my mane had been fully corrected. She gave me exactly what I asked for: fix this blunder in the least dramatic way possible. Kristi totally nailed it and even gave me her cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns. If I lived here, Kristi would be my girl for life... She wasn't comfortable doing what I wanted so we compromised with basic blonde with a shadow root. Left with no shadow root. The whole experience with her was terrible, she had no idea what to do. NOT EXCELLENT! This place is terrible! I went to get a hair cut after 3 years of growing my hair out and wanted a simple low undercut. The "stylist" simpbutchered my hair. I mean the worst haircut I have ever had and the worst I have seen in real life. After I called and told them what happened the owner offered to help so I went back against my better judgement assuming they would refund my money for the traumatic experience and had to sit directly across from the girl who butchered my hair while the owner made the best out it she could. My haircut ended up being a totally different haircut destroying 3 years of patience growing it out. The owner told me to request her when I needed to get it touched up and she will personally take care of me. I went to schedule my next appointment and they only had one time available, it was right when my daughter gets out of school on the last possible day I could get it taken care before I leave out of town for a business trip. I had to take my daughter out of school early to get to the appointment. I arrive and I wait forever and then I tell the front desk my situation and they go get her and she comes out obviously pissed and tells me she is running behind. So goes on about how she fixed my hair last time I told her I paid for that (including tip) they never refunded me for the embarrassing hair cut her "best stylist for guys" gave me the first time. The customer service is horrible and the work is just as bad. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Consider anyplace else! read more

My sister-in-law has been coming to this salon for a couple of years and she loves it. When I mentioned to her that I was looking for someone to do my hair and make-up for a wedding, she told me this salon offered those services. I called first thing this morning to see if they had any availability and I lucked out when they said YES! Kristi curled my hair and she did a fabulous job. She was very sweet and she understood exactly what I was asking for. Brooke did my make-up and I loved the way she asked for my input every few minutes. I had the most bad hair cut experience ever at this salon! I had Emily. 1. The right side and the left side are the different length. The right side is more than 1 inch shorter than the left side! Can you believe that? 2. I asked her to have some layer, but the outcome was really awful. It seems that the hair was cut by myself using kitchen scissors. 3. I asked her not to cut shorter than shoulder line, but she cut much shorter than the length I suggested. I have naturally curly hair, so I think she did not think about the curls pull up the length when it's dry. It is unprofessional. I will never go back to her. read more

My eight year old daughter and I went to Excellence this last Saturday for haircuts and this salon was the best!From the moment you step in the door your greeted by Extremely friendly staff, everyone is really nice and they seem to really care about making their clients happy. My daughter had Katie who was so sweet and was really good with making her feel comfortable. I had Mary H. and she was Awesome!
