Walked in after being told at the salon down the street (SR) they don't do walk ins. I just needed a trim. I was greeted right away by jade O. At the front desk I was hesitant because she was a younger stylist but she gave me a good wqsh at the bowl and proceeded to cut my hair. As a former cosmetologist I know exactly what to ask for and she absolutely delivered. She gave me about a two in trim and did a beautiful job at blowing out my hair with the round brush. I just wanted to take a time out and give this place 5 stars! I had to search for a new salon/stylist. I have never been to someone without a personal recommendation, but I took a leap of faith, read reviews, saw IG pics, and then decided to book. I have a wedding coming up and needed hair done asap! 1st of all - the receptionist/s were very professional and helpful and answered all questions w/o any attitude (like some places). They booked me with Jade O. (there are two Jades) Jade O. is a sweet girl and greeted me appropriately and professionally. Not ''hey, you ready?" lol SHe introduced herself and said Nice to meet you. Her consultation was very thorough and she wasn't annoyed with all my concerns or questions. Being a first timer, I was a little picky on just a few little things and I made her aware of them. She was forthcoming with info and she even explained why she would do this or that. I appreciated that very much. My hair turned out great! The appointment took longer than expected, but I'll still be returning. I am very happy with my hair.....color, cut, and style! The salon itself is very nice and cozy. I have always been intimidated by huge over the top fancy salons. This place was perfect. Cozy, clean, professional, and nice decor. The owner came to give Jade 2nd opinion on color formula on my hair but she did so professionally and not condescending (like some other salons) & I felt comfortable with that. I absolutely love this place! The owner Miriam is friendly, youthful, and spunky. Dahlia has been my stylist for the past 15 years, she's cute and has a great personality the kind of person I would hang out with. She does amazing highlight, and I always like the way she cuts my hair. Over the years my taste in highlights has gone from precision placement to more organic. And she's been happy to learn different highlight techniques that I was interested in having. More recently I'm getting a bayalge ombré combination of highlights. Love the new Dyson hairdryer too. Beautiful work. She always makes my hair look stunning, even as it severely thinned during chemo and cancer treatment four years ago (I'm blessed with thick hair, and it's even thicker now after cancer). Nice place! The manager is great! Easy to get an appointment. The girl I used moved to Dallas, but I heard she moved back! They were all super nice and helpful! The place was very clean and the girl that did my hair took her time. I've never had a better hair cut! I was so upset when she moved! I'm going to call and make an appointment soon because I'm tired of driving to Clear Lake and paying ridiculous prices when this place is excellent and very decently priced! I got a groupon for this place bc I saw the one review with five stars. Unfortunately I was not as pleased with my haircut. It looked good at first but usually my hair looks fine straightened. Its after I come home and wash it that really differentiates between a good salon and one that is okay. I didn't think salon accente was bad, but my layers were not how I wanted them after I washed my hair and was actually able to see them. My hair is extremely thick and long so it's not the easiest to work with. I had a good stylist back in Oklahoma but it seems like I'll still be looking for one in good ol Houston for a while longer. I've been to three places so far and no luck :(. Maybe I'm just too picky? On another note though, the place is super cute inside and my stylist was very sweet. read more

Horrible Experience at this salon!! My worst for sure. I went in March asked for a ombre and even showed a picture of what I was wanting. The stylist, I think her name was Dawn, right when you walk in she is to the left. Well she took it upon her self to do something completely different to my hair, even admitted after wards she did that because she didn't know if my hair would take the color! Who does that, that is so unprofessional ! She tried to go over my hair again and just made it worst. Had to go somewhere else to fix my hair, started all over, wasted more money. My wife and I are looking for a new salon, and today we tried out Salon Accente. We were "walk ins" and were given appointments about an hour after our arrival time. The stylist who cut my hair did a pretty good job until she turned the clippers on... She cut the back of my neck in several areas and got a little bit of my ear. Throughout the appointment my stylist exchanged negative banter with the receptionist and told me a story about herself that indicated she practiced cutting hair without credentials. My wife was not pleased with the result of her time in the chair. She provided her stylist with a picture of herself that she wanted the stylist to recreate - didn't even come close! We will continue our search for a new salon, and I'm not sure that I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for professionalism in their stylist. This salon might be an excellent candidate for Tabatha's Salon Takeover. read more
