I know I know, it's Supercuts but at least listen to me. Pros: $29 for a cut. They had 3 stylist working so was in/out pretty fast. Cons: LISTEN to what I want. Asked for short on the sides and long on top. Told her it had been a month since my last haircut. Proceeded to buzz the sides and then tight taper up, took over an inch off the top. Definitely go the value that I didn't really want. Also my new pet peeve, screen pops up with a minum of $10 tip, then $15 and $20!!. This makes me select other and give $1 at best. IF you know anything about 12 year old boys and their hair you know how precious it is to have it cut juuuuuust right and styled with juuuuuust the right product. Every stylist we've seen here has done a great job getting the cut exactly how my son wants it, no complaints, and they are fast, too. I walk in at 9:15am with no other customers. There are three employees there doing nothing. And they tell me I have to wait until 10:00am. This guy just started and will be done at 6. 35 minute hair cut. I've been coming to Supercuts for 3 decades. This one for 7 months until today. Went down the street literally half a mile to La Costa/ El Camino. Asked if I could get a hair cut! Absolutely, your here now and we don't close until 6. I was apprehensive to take my daughter here to get her haircut in the first place and I should have gone with my instinct. I've NEVER seen a "professional" cut hair like this! I took my daughter in for a trim, 1/2 inch to an inch, nothing fancy. She proceeded to comb her dry hair with a little product and then without using the comb, she took her scissors and cut in a "straight line" across her back. She never measured my daughters hair! It's completely uneven and choppy! I also asked her to team her face and looks like she just cut he front on a diagonal! Her hair is choppy, shorter than we expected and uneven! I paid $18 dollars for something I could have done with my eyes closed! This "stylist" really needs more training!! We are never going back. I didn't even want to give them 1 Star! I do not recommend, I went here 2x. I needed a simple root touch up, my hair was light brown. I had gone all over brunette from another Supercuts (a few blocks away, they even called for the formula). When they finished my roots came out red. When I asked them about it inside they said the lighting was off, when we walked outside in the sun they told me that it was probably because I had asked for an espresso tone and that was weird to them because I was warmer or something.. why am I being blamed? If you went to hair school and got a license than you should be able to tell me what would come out best. I then went to the super cuts beside vons and cinnepolis, by the dove library and there as well they weren't able to match my roots. It was a different color altogether. I went to the beauty school in San Marcos, paid $50.00 and it was all one color! They didn't let me leave unhappy and they didn't blame my knowledge of tones. read more

I took my 3 year old son for a hair cut. Getting his hair cut was a new thing for him so he was crying and being loud. So halfway through the cut one of ladies who was cutting someone else's hair (I'm assuming she was the owner or the manager) basically told us we had to leave and she was extremely rude about it. So we were kicked out of their shop with a half a hair cut and then they had the audacity to charge us full price for a cut they didn't finish. I told them about his fear of hair cuts before hand and they said it was fine so it's not like they didn't know. At least they could have been nice about it ... I had an appt today 11/21 at 4:30pm. I don't remember my girls name. She absolutely RUINED my hair. I am so low maintenance when it comes to my hair (hence why it is super short) and I am just devastated. It was busy cause tomorrow is a holiday; I get that. I work in the customer service industry as well. But if a client shows you multiple photos of what they want, and you do not feel comfortable giving them that, DO NOT CUT THEIR HAIR. Instead, offer them the opportunity to wait for someone who is more experienced or feels more comfortable with standard low fades. Before she began cutting my hair & when I showed her the photo of what I wanted, she had said "wow! That's an awesome haircut. None of us here are really masters with the clippers. That's like art! But I'll do my best!" I thought she was kidding??? I did not ask for anything but a low fade! I would compare it to a military haircut; except MY LINES ARENT EVEN!! I had to go somewhere ELSE to have it fixed. Unfortunately she took too much off and all I can do is wait till it grows out. Supercuts, I am very disappointed. I got Carissa for my color repair and cut. She did a fantastic job. She got my color and cut to exactly what I showed her on a picture. I highly recommend this salon for many reasons! The staff is so fun that I kinda wish I worked there. Carissa is helping me go from red to blonde (not an easy process). Along the way, she has been patient, helpful and knowledgeable. I went in once and then decided I wanted it a little bit lighter, so they made sure I was happy with the finished product and saw me a second time this week. Often when you return to fix a service in a salon you are greeting with attitude, not here. The manager Amanda was super understanding and nice, and Carissa was extremely understanding. I enjoyed Art's jokes the whole time and truly felt at home. It isn't often you find a salon so inviting and genuine. They have gained a new loyal customer! I live in NY and every year I visit my mom who lives in La Costa. My mom recently got her hair cut and colored by Breanna and she loves it. I made same day appointments for myself and my 16 year old son to get a wash, cut, and blowout. My son is incredibly picky about his hair and was very happy with the way Shaynee (sp?) did it. Maleka cut and styled my hair. She did it just as I had asked and I am extremely pleased.
