I have always wanted to visit a head spa, and my experience at The Salty Crown with Rylee more than exceeded my expectations! I was gifted "The Mermaids Secret", and really had no idea what to expect. After a short consultation, I was educated on my hair and scalp care, and recommendations were made to my needs. Red light therapy and high frequency stimulation was followed by a series of very relaxing scalp and hair treatments, along with a head, neck, shoulder, arm, and hand massage. By the end of this session (about 2 hours), I was in complete relaxation mode. What a treat! If you are looking to be pampered, this is perfect for you. Also, if you can't figure what to get for someone who has everything, this is the perfect gift! Rylee is a gem! 10/10!!! read more

Such an amazing & dreamy experience. The salon is so beautiful & relaxing. Went in for a scalp massage & treatment & enjoyed every second. The experts were so helpful in showing me how to care for my scalp. I learned so much & my hair/scalp have never been cleaner. Everything was above & beyond all my expectations. I will be recommending this to everyone read more

Super disappointing experience. I booked my appointment online and my time was confirmed. Later that evening I received a text from the person that would be doing the service asking if I could come in two hours later. I politely let her know I could not due to a previously scheduled work call and she said "no problem." Then, the day of my appointment, about an hour before I was set to come in, the same person texted telling me she had a family emergency and needed to cancel. I'm totally understanding to the fact that emergencies come up but due to the previous night's exchange I had a hard time with this. She didn't offer any sort of rebooking discount or anything. If the shoe had been on the other foot I feel confident I would have been charged for the appointment. Just not super professional given their pricing. read more

My first experience with a head and scalp treatment at The Salty Crown was pure bliss! The moment I walked into the calming, peaceful spa, that smelled and sounded heavenly. Rylee made me feel so comfortable and walked me through the process of taking before and after photos of my scalp. My after photos were so much different...my scalp looked so healthy. What an incredible experience. I was relaxed and felt calm pleasure with Rylee's magic hands working wonders. I'm telling all my friends and I can't wait for my next appointment. read more

What an amazing place! I had the most relaxing and thorough head massage and treatment with Rylee and it felt incredible! She showed me my scalp before treatment where I had areas of oil and some dryness and the photos after were such an improvement of my scalp. It felt like the best salon experience I've had. It was actually so relaxing I almost fell asleep while Rylee worked her magic! Loved the cool, dreamy look of the salon and my wonderful treatment there! I will be back soon for another experience with Rylee! Thanks again! read more

Thu. If you want that rooty/melty/balayage hair you see on IG? Make an appointment with Thu! I have been a client of hers for 23 years now and have followed her through 3 salons! If you want to see her beautiful handiwork, you can check out her ig page @ Thu4hair and she has her own Yelp page under the same handle. She's super precise with haircuts as well (SNATCHES a bob or A-line cut) and constantly certifying herself with new techniques. I also recently had her install Invisible Beads Extensions (two wefts). She got them in so quick (about 20 minutes) and my hair feels so much thicker (I had that weak, skinny pony tail going). She's super sweet to boot! Thank you, Thu, for all the amazing haircuts & color, all these years! Wildflower Salon is right off the 5 Freeway, Front Street Exit. Lot's of street parking. read more

I want to preface this by saying that I am in the beauty industry. I own a salon and I mentor women on how to create a 5 star experience. I am pretty easy going w my hair - it is not my #1 beauty concern but this experience was absolutely ridiculous. I will bullet point the main issues below. * the woman I was booked w was Victoria. This is the first and only time I've ever went to this salon. This is the first and only time I've ever complained about my hair or the experience out of 20 years of getting my hair done. * Victoria was on the phone on and off throughout my visit, speaking to her husband about getting a delivery of frozen food and trying to arrange for someone to pick it up. Honestly, didn't care about that too much. Was it unprofessional to be on and off your phone for minutes at a time? Yes- but whatever- it would not have been a problem if she would have been able to pay attention to what he was doing to my hair. * I booked a balayage and cut ($285 I believe) and I told her I like the whiter type of blonde and darker roots. She showed me the photo from Pinterest below and I loved it- she said she may have to change a few things to match my halo extensions but it shouldn't be too different. Cool. * after everything was done- my hair was not blonde. I was now a brunette and my hair did not look like the photo - at all - and my hair did not match my halo extensions - at all. So here I am w brown hair. Cool- I have other things to worry about and I'll try to use my purple shampoo at home and hope for the best- I had to remind her to shave the undercut I have so I can be on my way. She almost forgot that. * came home to take a better look at my hair. Color was completely off and my hair trim was uneven. I seriously couldn't believe how bad it was. Maybe she was having an off day? I don't know- so I called someone to get it cut and did that the same week. Still never complained to her. I just figured I'd never have to go back * then, a few days after the second set of salon closures in San Diego, I get an IG message from Victoria asking how my mane was. I attached the convo for you to see. She seemed to have accidentally did highlights but charged me for balayage and royally just f'd up my hair. She promised to fix it "as soon as they open". During closure, I saw at least one repost from a client saying they got their hair cut from Victoria. Okay- I wasn't going to bother her and I was just going to wait for salons to re-open so she could fix my hair. One day after the announcements of re-opening, I DMd her asking her when I can come in. This woman then states that it's past a certain point so I have to pay. Honestly... why the heck would you even message me in the first place? It makes ZERO sense promising to fix something you are only willing to fix under certain conditions unbeknownst to me. I seriously thought I was getting punked. I always teach my girls to OVERdeliver, UNDERpromise. This was the absolute worst case scenario of customer service I have ever seen. Victoria, I hope you learn a lesson from all of this. I don't believe all clients are right 100% or the time but you should 1) fix what you messed up 2) refund me at least the difference of balayage vs highlights since that's what I got and 3) apologize for your lack of professionalism in more ways than just one. I will never ever go back to this place. Horrible and unbelievable. read more

My hair is at it's healthiest, longest, and lightest in the years I have been with Allyssa. I have told her before that she has been my saving grace for my hair health and everything hair related. Before Allyssa, I had someone do a weft extension that left my hair in awful condition. I had to cut my hair very short and dyed it back to black because I was trying to grow it out, but my hair was so brittle that it would keep breaking. Eventually, I had someone else do a balayage that was so bad that I had to dye my hair back to it's original color within 2 weeks after spending all that money. It wasn't until I started coming to Allyssa in 2017 that changed my life. I have never felt more like a mermaid with her extension expertise. I have had extensions with her for more than 2 years and my hair length is to my butt. My hair doesn't break and it's the lightest color it has ever been. When you find a hairdresser you trust, never leave them. Allyssa is open and honest about everything I ask about for my hair. If I want to go too light, she will be honest and tell me it's not worth it. She'll tell me which extension method will work better for my daily routine and how much I sweat. I can't recommend her enough that I even tell my friends in Orange County that she is WORTH THE 1.5 DRIVE every single time. I would drive hours just to see this girl. I trust no one else. 10/10 would recommend if you love your hair a lot, then you need to go to Allyssa. read more

I love going to see Allyssa! She always does an amazing job! Our first encounter was when she was able to fix a terrible mistake I made during quarantine by box dying my blonde hair brown and then bleaching it at home (facepalm). I didn't think anyone would be able to fix it and she made me look and feel beautiful. I'm a customer for life now. Can't wait to see what magic she does at our next appt. also, the head and neck massage is INCREDIBLE. read more

I came to Allyssa with hair that I hated. The color was too golden and the cut was uneven and horrible. We agreed that extensions made the most sense for me, along with color. Allyssa spent time to understand what it was that I wanted and made it come true (and then some). My extensions are beautiful. My hair went from a short mess of a haircut to long beautiful hair. The color is perfection. I went from overly golden to a beautiful blonde with a root shadow. My hair is amazing! I get compliments everywhere I go. I've never felt more confident in my life. Allyssa is a total rock star and made all my hair dreams come true! I could not be more happy! She's also fun to hang out with for the amount of time you have to spend in her chair! :) read more

Wildflower never disappoints. The stylists are friendly, understanding, and help you figure out what you want, when you don't even know. And when you do show them inspiration photos online, they consult with you on it to help you get the look you are after. I have never had a bad experience here, pre-COVID, and currently. Everything is EXTRA clean, and so cute inside. The stylists are professional in everything they do, and are always accommodating to changes in schedules. I cannot recommend this place enough! I've referred at least 3 people to this salon, and will continue. I only trust my hair to Katelyn at Wildflower, and when she was out on leave, Alyssa and Victoria have both helped me out, and everyone was great. read more

Allyssa has been doing my hair for a year now and I'm never going to anyone else again. I can't say enough good things about Victoria. Over two years ago I was a traveling nurse from Nebraska and didn't know a soul. I stumbled upon Victoria randomly and she has been my hair stylist ever since! She is professional, courteous, kind, hilarious, and most importantly she LISTENS to what you want. My hair was a mess from my prior hair stylist in Palm Springs and she has literally transformed it. I now live in a different city and even commute over an hour to get my hair done by her. Not to mention, she is doing my hair for my wedding in less than a month. I am absolutely certain my hair will be the last thing i will stress about on my big day with her being my hair stylist.
