OMG! I absolutely LOVE my hair!!! Wow...Sarah, thank you for working your magic and making something I never thought possible happen to my hair. I showed you a picture of what I wanted and you made it happen!!! Usually, I am not completely satisfied when leaving a salon. Sarah, you exceeded my expectations and brought my hair back to life! I still can't get over how great it turned out. With COVID-19 and the salons being closed, I must have left over 10 messages at different salons and you guys ended up calling me back first! I'm SOOO glad you did! Omg I had the best time getting my hair done today. You guys have great products, a relaxing environment, and great customer service. Getting your hair done is supposed to be fun, relaxing, and stress free. You made that happen and SO much more. Something I want to mention to potential customers: 1) If you have an idea of what you want your hair to look like, bring it to Vohg and they will bring your idea to life. I showed Sarah a picture of the hair cut, style, and color I wanted & she made it happen!!! 2) I appreciate Sarah for her honesty. I had a few questions and concerns about my hair and she let me know that it might take another visit to get my hair exactly where I want it. The last picture is I posted is what I want my hair to look like. I couldn't be more happy with the results!!!! Sarah, thank you so much for making me feel comfortable in my own body again. You have an amazing talent and means the world to me that i finally found someone who cares about providing great service/ delivering an outstanding results. Sydnee is the best!!! I can't tell you how happy she has made me. I naturally have thin fine hair. She is always careful and does a perfectly blended job on my color. But recently she gave me a huge transformation and I got extensions. I knew nothing about them and always assumed they would be expensive and require a lot of upkeep or also my bad hair would show through the good hair. All assumptions turned out to be false. These don't have to be moved up and should last about 3-5 months. I only required 1 pack of hair, so it was waaaay less than I thought. I've had them a few weeks and they are surprisingly easy to work with. I should post my before picture, but honestly I'm too embarrassed. Here is the after!!
If you have naturally Black Asian hair and want blonde balayage, look no further than Brenda at Vohg Hair!! Speaking from years of personal experience and going to lots of hair stylists who have missed the mark, this type of hair can be very difficult to master but Brenda has nailed it! I went in during the thick of Covid with super long, overgrown and brassy hair and she brought it back to a healthy length and to a beautiful chocolate brown color which I wanted, as I was desiring a drastic change from before and she achieved the look I wanted in one session!! Within the next few sessions she was able to take my chocolate brown to a stunning balayage blonde as I was once again feeling the urge to go back to my classic balayage blonde and I am absolutely loving the color! I have been getting glossing sessions in between to maintain the color and avoid brassiness and this has made all the difference. Brenda is also so accommodating with her times and is so friendly, bubbly and so fun to talk to! It's like you're speaking to your bff!! Brenda is an absolute miracle worker with hair! You guys, I cannot recommend this salon enough!!! More so, I highly recommend booking your services with Sarah. She is very efficient and tidy with her work, and it was clear to me that she cared so much about keeping my hair healthy and beautiful rather than rushing through and "just getting it done." I made the jump from brown to blonde with her yesterday, and she did such an incredible job!!! (I literally jumped for joy in the studio when I saw the finished result). I walked out of this salon with hair that is just as healthy and strong as it was when I walked in. My final note to add is that I dyed my hair dark red about a year ago, yet Sarah dealt with my residual color very well!!! It's never a fun task to search for a new hair stylist/colorist. I was seeing the same gal for over nine years and had to part ways due to her moving out of town. I was lucky enough to get my hair done with her one last time just days before everything shut down due to the ongoing pandemic. In July, I was able to get my hair done again and chose to go to another well named salon in Encinitas. After four months of growth, I was well overdue and anxious to have my hair done. Two visits later, I was on the hunt for a different stylist. Paying a pretty penny to have your hair done and not loving it when you walk out of the salon is very frustrating. I was on the hunt yet again. After searching through Yelp, I found a salon! I was able to make an appointment to see Vanessa. Vanessa is wonderful! I felt like she really listened and understood what I wanted. She discussed the process in which she would correct my color and started painting away. She also trimmed and styled my hair to my liking or should I say loving! This was a huge win for me!! Vanessa has done magic on my hair twice already and I am thrilled that my search has ended! Thank you, Vanessa! See you in six weeks!!

Marissa is a miracle worker. I found her through Instagram and walked in to Vohg completely defeated with my hair. I hadn't had my hair professionally done in years and had no idea what to expect. I gave my total trust to Marissa to do what she felt would be best and I walked away a new woman. The color, the depth, the cut- every single aspect of my experience was A Class. Her work with blonde coloring, specifically, is amazing. She is incredible at her job and I will be going to her forever.

Aly is the best! I've been seeing her for about two years now. I've always had trust issues with past hair stylist, not listening to what I wanted or just not getting it right so I never go back (the say you love it then cry when you get home, type deal). Aly takes time at the beginning of every appointment to listen to my concerns and what my hair goals are. Im a verryyy simple girl when it comes to my hair care. She's always recommending the best products to fix my complex hair math, from my oily/dry scalp to teaching me how to properly curl my hair. Aly is super sweet and gets it right every time. Go see Nikki! I've color treated my hair with henna for over 15 years. I've been bored with my hair lately and decided I wanted to do something new. Most hairstylists I talked to didn't want to touch my hair because of the henna in it. She was able to take my red hair and turn it into an ashy bronde and it still feels healthy and not over processed. She is so talented and I don't think there's anything she can't do. I really wanted to like this salon, I came in with postpartum hair that needed some balayage maintenance. I was specific in what I used to get before I moved to the area. Last minute during my visit I was told the stylist didn't think we should feather out my tips because it would accentuate a previously bad haircut she was trying to fix...I figured okay, head stylist would know best. Months later I still hate it and looking back at my cc statements, I can't believe this is what a $395 salon service got me. Even a week after the service I called to see if we can make it right since my hair looked very brassy and streaky. Even giving them a chance to keep me as a customer, nobody called me back. Yes, they were very friendly and welcoming during my visit but I just can't justify $400 for the "balayage" I got done. It was highlights at best, no color melting, no real dimension. read more

Aly has done it again. I went in with dead hair full of split ends. She gives my hair so much life. I told her what I was thinking, and she exceeded all expectations with the result. My appointment was with Sarah G and it was my first time going to this salon, I couldn't be happier with the results! I absolutely love the balayage that Sarah G did on my hair. It's exactly what I wanted and the color is spot on with the natural look I was going for. I also really appreciate how she wants to help me get my hair to a healthy state and gave me some helpful hair care tips. She also gave me a trim and added delicate waves to my hair. Overall a really enjoyable experience and I love the space! What helped amplify the positive experience is Sarah G. She is really talented, fun and lovely. Unbelievable I was a previous hairstylist & salon owner going through a neck injury disability, just needed some simple help putting a few highlights in my hair. I have a very sweet, easygoing & understanding demeanor, I saw some good reviews with Vohg, I called to schedule and the receptionist was very sweet, said stylist Vanessa would be perfect for me. I asked the prices for a partial highlight since only my roots needed highlighted, She quoted me $95-$150. I Called back the next day to confirm the pricing & time it would take to be clear since I have no income going through a disability. The same receptionist said she understood me double checking & would have Vanessa call me. Vanessa text me to confirm but didn't call which would have prevented a lot, everything I was told in scheduling didn't happen. I showed up for my appointment 15 minutes before, was offered tea, & instead of smiles, I got looks up & down from everyone in salon, how rude/competitive & uninviting energy, Vanessa approached, I expected the sweet demeanor like the reviews said, She barely spoke to me as if I shouldn't have even walked in the door, it was the most uncomfortable experience, Even when I complimented & tried to engage in friendly conversation. I explained I needed my roots highlighted, I like lots of blonde but not overdone & don't need a toner or anything extra. I was so surprised how fast I was done within 30-45 minutes. I was considering a haircut so asked Vanessa at shampoo bowl how much my highlights were? expecting the max quote I was told of $150. She replied "$250" I Oh my, explained how I was told differently since that price jump wasn't explained to me. As if that's how they get you in the chair. I didn't even need my hair blown out, dried or styled, left with wet hair. When I explained it to the front desk girl She looked at me and said flippantly "well She just did it so..." I was like Wow... bc it wasn't explained to me they charged me $200 When I got home I realize a lot of sections of my hair wasn't even highlighted if I was getting charged for a "full head." I called to explain and girl said she would call me back, clearly they could care less about customer service, or a happy Client with a good review which I love & prefer giving good reviews. I asked to speak to the girl who scheduled me, not only could I not reach her multiple times but they would not return my messages or phone calls, as if they just Told me one thing, overcharged me, & took more money, and then didn't care about the rest or a happy returning customer. Like they didn't deliver what I was overcharged for, but took the money & ran, dismissive & disposed. Being a salon owner/stylist for so long I'm pretty understanding & surprised any place would function like that & not even care to make it right. California is rough enough let alone having experiences like that... read more

I've gotten my hair done before at a salon but was super skeptical about going again because I had such a bad experience. I looked for hair salons that had great reviews and came across Vogh Hair. I looked through pictures and instantly loved how they did hair. I looked online to make an appointment & saw Vanessa's Instagram & loved her work! She was so nice & made my hair so beautiful both times I went! She's definitely going to me my hairstylist from here on out! Thanks Vanessa ! read more

Sarah did such an amazing job on my hair! I've been having a particularly stressful few weeks and a couple hours with Sarah helped me feel like I could conquer this next hard week in front of me. I look great, I feel relaxed, and she hooked me up with some products that I'm really excited about too. As a bonus I didn't feel super awkward like I did with a lot of other hair stylists. Overall vibe was welcoming, chill, and very relaxing. Highly recommend going here. Worth the price point. read more

Vanessa is a hair magician! I went to see her yesterday for the first time and she really took the time to transform my dull, lifeless after not having it done for 3+ months in lockdown. Vanessa asked me what I wanted but I really just wanted her to do what she felt was needed, so she did highlights, lowlights, toner, cut before and after the color portion and put some beachy curls in at the end to complete the look. This all took 2.5 hours!!! Normally it's taken 4+ hours to get my hair done so it was an excellent experience all round!! I highly recommend VANESSA at Vohg Hair Salon. read more

What a wonderful place!!! I was looking to schedule a last minute appointment and to my surprise they responded!! I was paired with Vanessa and omg I cannot express how grateful I feel to have connected with her. She provided realistic expectations that not only ensured my hair looked beautiful but also stayed healthy. I had such a terrific experience at Vohg Hair due to Brenda. I was a little nervous going to Vohg hair because most of the pictures in the reviews showed blonde hair clients. But golly, i let my judgments get the best of me because I'm telling you ladies/gentlemen, that this hair salon can do it all! (Thin hair, Curly hair, Asian hair, damaged hair) :) Once I walked into Vohg Hair salon, Brenda greeted me and instantly made me feel comfortable. Of course I did what most women do at hair salons by showing her couple inspo pictures from Pinterest. I wanted a natural look with soft blended, caramel balayage. Brenda gave me exactly that!
