If you're a guy and you get your hair cut at Supercuts, chances are you aren't too picky about who styles your hair. Hey, I can't argue with a quick and decent $16 haircut... They typically do a quick pass with #3 or #4 on the sides and back and they then cut a little bit off the top. My haircut today was perfectly acceptable and while it's certainly not a masterpiece like I've gotten at proper hair salons, it's also not the kind of experience that sets me back $85. All Supercuts are pretty awful, but this particular location should be the first candidate for the Hall of Shame. It used to be my go-to place for haircuts, but three years back, they just snipped my hair a bit and charged WAY too much. When I got home, my mom had to finish cutting my hair and she used regular scissors so it really hurt. I've never been back since. I currently go to OZ, but any other hair place in Benicia is better than this. read more

So, I previously visited this Supercuts and didn't have the best experience. However, I decided to give them a second shot, and It was undoubtedly worth it. I showed up first thing on a Friday morning with no appointment and was able to be seen right away. Stacy was so nice and friendly. Plus, she did a great job on my haircut, that only cost $18 by the way. It was a successful visit. I will absolutely be visiting again in the future. read more

I have given this place so many chances. But this was the straw that broke the camels back. I am not even an avid yelper, but this experience was so horrible I had to say something publicly. Let's start at the beginning. I walk in and get seated in my chair, noticing I have "product" in my hair she asks if I would like to wash it out before I get my cut. I said that is fine. I sit down at the wash station expecting to get my hair rinsed and then then handed a towel and head back for my cut. She asks me if I want a hot towel for my face to relax, I said no thank you just a hair wash please. Instead she puts some shampoo in my hair that causes a minty cold sensation on my scalp, almost burning sensation l, and begins to massage my head neck and temples which made me feel very uncomfortable. Then proceeds to put a hot towel on my face, insisting that I will love it. I did not go to a Massage parlor, I went to get my hair cut. She asked me how it felt, to avoid being rude I responded my head feels very cold and tried displaying uncomfortable body language that she did not pick up on. I left the wash station with my scalp feeling like I had washed my hair with "icy-hot" and slightly irritated that she pressured a massage service on me that I was certain she as going to charge me extra for. Finally my hair cut begins, I show her a phot of the exact cut I was trying to achieve, front and side angle to give her something to work off of. I have particularly long hair on the top and buzzed sides, I slick it back with a fade and it looks similar to brad pitts hair hair the movie "fury". Instead of fading it like I persistently and cautiously explained. She chopped everything off the sides all the way to my temple leaving me with a hair cut that resembles the rap singer "Macklemore", if he got his hair cut by a 5 year old. I paid my 25 dollar fine in vein just to leave as soon as possible before I caused a scene. I had to gather myself and go to a different barber to see if there was any way to salvage my 6 months of hair growth now chopped to bits. I will absolutely not recommend this place to anyone that has a particular hair cut they want. Learn from my mistake. Know your barber, know their level of experience. read more

I haven't been to Supercuts in many, many years considering I wasn't always completely happy with their work. I went in to get a simple hair cut yesterday thinking maybe things have changed. Boy, was I wrong. I got my haircut done by a male stylist named Vince. All I asked for was to have my long layers redone, hair thinned out (like I always get done because my hair is so thick), and to have an inch off my hair. That is all I wanted... Vince didn't listen to my needs and started saying how he didn't want to thin my hair out. Without my permission, he then started cutting all these layers on top of my head that ended up going to the top of my ears. While he was doing this I was having a mini heart attack and knew there was no coming back from this. It also appeared that I now have bangs which I haven't had since middle school. During this time he also stated, "It's not always what the customer wants, but what is best for them" and tried convincing me how what he is doing is best for my hair. He then proceeded to cut about 3 inches off the rest of my hair when I simply only asked for 1 inch. I left the salon and then came back a few minutes later after realizing how horrible it actually really did look. Elena salvaged what was left of my hair doing her best to blend in these horribly short layers on the top of my head to the rest of my hair. She made it look better; however, I was still very unhappy and eventually ended up getting a refund after I kept refusing a free haircut for next time as I would never return. I have never broken down in a salon chair before, let alone be upset over a haircut until yesterday. I can now no longer wear my hair down (as it looks horrible), wear it half up/half down, or wear a ponytail or bun as my hair keeps falling out as these "layers" are way too short. I have a job where I always have to wear my hair back so now I will need to constantly put in a ton of bobby pins to keep my hair from falling in my face. I will now be wearing a beanie when I go out in public. I will never come back here. If you ever see someone walking around town with a burgundy beanie on please make sure you stop to give me a hug. read more

I rarely review services and if I do I am usually very understanding of all circumstances. This here is just terrible. Plain and simple. I am very happy with my experience at Supercuts in Benicia. Many of the recent reviews are awful which is why I wanted to be sure and share my experience. I checked in online and had only a 5 minute wait even though I was a good 20 mins earlier than my estimated check in time. The lady that cut my hair was very friendly and helpful. I have VERY thick frizzy hair and in the past most stylist comment on how much longer it takes to deal with my hair. She did not. She took a good 10 mins to wash and massage my scalp. I asked her to cut an inch off and she suggested an inch and a half to be sure to get all the dead ends. I left with a very nice healthy hair cut and I am super happy! And all for only $26!!!! read more

SUCKS!!!! I wish I could give negative stars. I went in tonight to get my bangs trimmed and long hair trimmed and layered. There were two women available and all they did was look at my and whisper back and fourth trying to decide who was going to cut my hair. Then I was asked if I was going to get a shampoo. I told them no, just my bangs and trim/layers for the back. They continued to look at me and whisper back and forth right at the front desk as if I didn't exist. Finally they both walked to the back room and continued to decide if or which one of them was going to cut my hair. I had had enough and I walked out. If you really don't want to deal/cut my long hair or whatever reason you have then be polite and tell the customer. They made me feel unwelcome and like shit!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANY SUPERCUTS AFTER THIS!!! I will be letting my family and friends know of my horrible experience and highly suggest they don't waste their time at Supercuts. They definitely need some major training in the customer service department. read more
