Lindsay is a talent who really knows her craft. I have, for more years than I'll admit, struggled to find a stylist who knows how to cut long, thick, mixed-curl/wave/some parts strait, in other words...hair that has no clue WHAT it wants to be! I've had stylists turn me away but Lindsay had the confidence and patience to work with this ridiculous thing on my head and thank God...I no longer scare small children and dogs. Well done Lindsay! She knew how to layer my hair, a term that usually induces a fit of anxiety as past "layering" has made me look like I'm wearing a pyramid made of hay on my head or several layers that stand apart from the rest like chunks cut out. But now my hair has been easy to manage and style, something I admittedly don't like to spend a lot of time with. I'm wash and wear! Me! Wash and wear!! Also, her coloring skills are second to none. In fact, at nine weeks, and my hair grows fast, one has to really look for roots it blends so well. I'll add pictures in their image section. Lindsay rocked my world today! She's incredible and so talented... I super hippie hair natural girl who doesn't do much other than wash and brush my hair daily... Low maintenance always... But as I'm getting older the silver and white reminders are popping up more and more so it was finally time to get them covered. Lindsay was professional and offered suggestions on what my best bet would be to still be as low maintenance as possible but cover those "reminders." The Bada Bing Salon was recommended by a friend. I figured any salon with the name of Bada Bing was the place for me. As a side note it is not like the "club" from the Sopranos. I checked out the Yelp reviews and the website and had some trepidation. I am a man and all of the reviews were from women. I paused for a moment and then remembered that most men, including myself, are very lazy when it comes to Yelping unless it deals with food or liquor. I kept my appointment and had the pleasure of meeting Starr. Starr is a very easy person to talk to and she has a great personality. Starr did a fantastic job on my hair. She took her time and asked all of the appropriate questions on how I wanted my hair done. Some of the questions I did not have an answer to, but with my permission, she figured it out. I was referred to Bada Bing from a friend, and I am so happy I took the chance on trying Starr out. I have long frizzy hair that, it has seemed, nobody has known how to cut or color. Starr knew exactly how to cut my hair type and most importantly color it! I dont know why, but my hair pulls orange and brassy colors. Starr's coloring skills are AMAZING. Daya did my hair exactly one week ago. She darkened it, trimmed it, and put peek-a-boos in my hair and it looks very cool! She did purple fade into a hot pink/red strands throughout the second layer of my hair and it looks awesome! At first I was scared to take a risk with putting color in my hair and she did exactly what I asked: noticeable but not dramatic. After she washed my hair I realized I wanted more strands throughout my hair so I'll definitely be going back to get more strands and more cool colors. Did I mention it was a good price too?! I have been to Starr twice now for my hair. She does an AMAZING job. I refuse to let anyone else near my hair at this point. The first appointment I had was for a keratin treatment about a month ago. I don't ever remember my hair feeling this soft and smooth. I have natural curly, yet frizzy hair and this completely took all the frizz away. I knew I needed a trim bad (split ends blah) and she did a perfect cut with layers that helped get rid of the split ends and left me a good length. The second treatment I just got was color & highlights. I explained what I wanted and she delivered! She lightened my hair right up without frying it! I don't think I've ever got as many compliments as I have on my hair. What I appreciate about Starr is she takes the time to listen to what you want and she knows hair so she is super informative. When I first came to her my hair was completely damaged and stressed. There is a day and night difference to my hair today! The salon itself is clean, gorgeous very modern and chic. All my life I've had the craziest kinky/ curly/ frizzy hair that I've had to wrestle with every day of my life. My daughter found Star based on Yelp reviews a few years ago...we took a leap of faith (or rather faith in Yelp) and went to see her. So glad we did! The salon is up a flight of stairs in lovely space that is full of natural light - with soaring ceilings. Star has worked magic with my thin hair - giving it body and oomph where I thought it was a lost cause. I'm now at a point that I just tell her to do whatever she likes, because I trust she will add flair and style to my hair style.
