WOW! I am so happy!!! I got my hair done by Ashley L. and I could not be happier. My hair was a giant mess prior to coming in to see her. My friend recommended me to her as I was looking for someone that really 'GOT ME' and my style and what kind of look I was trying to achieve. I went in for a consultation and showed her a few pics and discussed color options and then set up my appointment. Ashley is super busy, but got me in the next week! I love that! We took my hair from dirty blonde and bleached out orange (long story) to a sweet dark red with SNOW WHITE WHITE WHITE highlights. ALL In one sitting and it only took 90mins!!! My hair is still in great condition even tho we got the highlights white white! SHE KNOWS COLOR!! I showed her the pic of what I wanted and THAT IS EXACTLY what she did. She gives you EXACTLY what you want and not what SHE thinks you should have. Awesome communication explaining what she was doing through out the process and very fast! No blotching and the highlights were VERY tight aka as close to the root as possible! So you don't have to run back for a touch up in 4 weeks. I can't recommend her enough for those girls trying to get the edgy rocker LOOK AT ME hair. She isn't afraid to go extreme and yet still makes sure your hair stays in great shape after! So after a great cut and an over bleached head, I just didn't want to tell her I was unhappy as this has happened several times. The first time Naomi did my hair, it came out perfect! I went back to touch up my highlights and I was extremely displease the second time around! She was rushing as I was her last client and my hair did not turn out like I expected. My highlights are blotchy and it has only been a week and it looks like I need another retouch on my roots. She told me to come back in a week if I still didn't like the color but I don't have the time and the patience to return and sit through another hair session with her. I am so incredibly shocked and disappointed. I came here a year ago to get my hair done for my birthday. At the time Naomi did amazing. I thought I was go back after letting my hair grow out and get the exact same thing done. Now I'm not normally one to leave reviews. But I spent almost 6 hours for them to try to fix their mistake. Naomi asked if we were doing the same thing as last year. I replied yea we even looked at the end results of last years style. Her coworker began my hair instead of her and ended up bleaching significantly way more of my hair then needed. Afterwards Naomi decided to put a toner in my hair that made it brown instead of blonde. I even stopped multiple times to ensure I was getting the picture. She said yes. Then after I said this isn't how my hair was done last time she even admitted to bleaching more of my hair and doing her own thing. By the end of this experience I was so upset I didn't even have them style my hair. Now my hair is fried. Won't curl the same. In addition to I did not get the color I wanted. I have never been so disappointed after getting my hair done. Now I understand if you cannot do something or if it'll be too much for the hair but you have to let your client know that. We could of came up with a different plan or done something different. Instead now for my event my hair is a disaster. read more

I've only been twice, but each time I had a great experience. I go to Robin, who moved to this salon from Synergy which was at the bottom of First Street. The setup at Narcissus is a lot different. It feels more private, so you aren't self conscious about people coming in and seeing you with wet hair. Robin always leaves me feeling beautiful, and her cuts don't look akward when they grow out (which is perfect for someone like me that doesn't make it back in for months at a time). I'd recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had a really good first experience here with Elke today. I haven't had my hair cut in well over a year. I had gotten a gift certificate awhile ago and decided to finally put it to use. I had an appointment at 1pm and showed up 10 minutes early. Elke was just finishing up with her previous appointment and she was all set for me at 1pm. I told her I wanted to get rid of the majority of my split ends and just cut my hair straight since I wear it up a lot for work. She did exactly that! She didn't try to convince me into a shorter or longer or layered style, a pet peeve of mine. We decided on cutting 8 inches off and I can't tell you how great it looks now. She put some enjoy product (which I ended up buying for $20) in my hair, blow dried it and straightened it for me. I'm more than happy with the job Elke did. The whole time she was telling me things about my hair as well, such as it's very porous so deep conditioners are great for my hair and if I dye it, the color will be absorbed quick but I will lose the color fast as well.
