If I could give 0 stars I would because she F'd up my hair. Looks like a child grabbed a pair of scissors and cut it. It is SOOO uneven, it's extremely embarrassing. I wanted a haircut to feel better about myself after dealing with PPD and a traumatic birth experience. Now I can never wear my hair down and it will take FOREVER for my hair to grow out long enough to even it out. This just made me so much more depressed. Look how noticeable the uneveness is in the front. It's not even angled like layers should be it's like she just cut straight across. This isn't even close to what I wanted. read more

I have been getting my hair cut at barber shops for I don't know how many years. Since moving to Vallejo, I needed to find a new barber. Looking at Yelp, nothing really looked that great. I don't need stripes shaved into my head and though I do enjoy the banter at barber shops, sometimes I just want my haircut with no bs. Honestly, I chose this place because it was an easy stop on my way home from work. I'm glad I did. Vickie is friendly and a pro. She is intuitive and also listens to what you want done. You macho men may feel intimidated, because every time I've been there she is usually working on ladies. This doesn't bother me at all. All I want is a great cut and I get it every time. She takes appointments, but if you call ahead she can usually squeeze you in. At the moment, a men's haircut is only 15 bucks, which leaves plenty to give her a nice tip, and you should. Her shop is located right off the freeway, so easy on and off. Very thankful I've found my new spot. read more

Talented! I discovered Vicky about 27 years ago when she was working in a salon in the Redwood Plaza Shopping Center, near Safeway, and followed her to the present location. I'm a male, and I only need my haircut "maintained", but I can tell you that Vicky is truly a gifted and talented stylist. Very efficient and skillful and fast. If, due to my schedule or travels I have my haircut done elsewhere, it's never as good, and my wife will moan "Who did your hair?!". (Maybe my head has a weird shape?) If you are looking for an updo you must go to Vicky! She's fast, affordable, and you'll leave with your hair looking great. I went to Vicky a few times to get my hair done for prom (she did all my friends' hair too). Since then I've had to get my hair done for other events outside of Vallejo, I ended up paying 3x as much and my hair didn't look any cuter for it. Moving from Daly City to Vallejo, I was looking for a new hairstylist. Cause driving from Vallejo to Daly City didn't seem practical to get a hair cut after a while. I was hesitant to try a new hair stylist but was told that Vicki was the best and does amazing work. Read the great reviews about her work so I decided to check it out. I'm the type of person to to research a little on a service but couldn't find a website and there wasn't much on their Facebook. I still decided to try it out anyway cause a friend really insisted that Vicki is amazing and she's been going there for years. I was told to just walk in and ask for Vicki. So I called in to confirm she'd be in and Vicki answers tells me to come at a later time because she would not be there. So I changed MY plans to work around HERS. I got there about 20 minutes early and there's a sign on the window saying "be right back" my scheduled time rolls around and nothing. No door open, no sign removal. I give it a good 10 minutes and still nothing. I ended up leaving. Given that I only gave her a 10 minute wait. If you run a business and tell a client to be there at a certain time..... You should be there. I'm sure Vicki does great work.... But I'll never know and doubt will ever give it a second try. So back to Daly City to the hairstylists I can actually count on. I gave 1 star ONLY because I wasn't able to leave a review without putting in a star.... Otherwise I wouldn't have left anything. read more
