What a great place!! Made my appointment on line, checked in when I got there, and I had my hair washed, cut and blow dried, and I am SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!! Athena, (hopefully, I'm spelling your name correctly), THANK YOU!! She is very friendly and I loved chatting. Whenever she went to cut my hair, she asked me how much I wanted to cut off, just to make sure and check with me; I actually like/liked that, however, I could totally tell Athena was a seasoned hairdresser and I could totally trust her. Let me start by saying the staff here are saints. They are so nice and sweet even though it's been crazy busy today especially for a Saturday. I am sitting here processing for a partial hi light I was on the fence about, and I couldn't be happier. Being that they're busy and don't take appointments, you come in and put your name on the sheet and they call you up. Realistic timeframes based on services they're doing - including men's cuts while some of us process. Excellent management of time and clients. Now to why these women are saints. A woman put her name on the list, left and came back. They had already called her name and she wasn't there. Coming back a full hour and a half-ish later. She had a full blown *not nice* moment when the staff kindly explained that they called her and she wasn't there and she had to wait a little longer. Again the stylists still maintaining professionalism this woman continued to be *Rude*. Still attending to other clients and mixing product for colors. This woman called another salon in front of us customers complaining she had to wait here, and would "be staying here for a few minutes and head over there". When the woman went to leave I said to her "goodbye, have a nice day ma'am". She was looking right at me demanding the managers number. Again these amazing women maintained professionalism. Then the staff apologized to us all for her behavior which wasn't necessary, because it's not their fault she was nasty. But these women made the best of a nasty woman, and all of us had a great time sitting and chatting about our day other than the mean lady. Would 100% recommended coming here. It's worth the wait. Just don't leave for an hour and a half and expect to get seen right away. read more

Three years ago I was visiting New York and Rita Harris styled and put blue highlights in my hair. I have had a very bad experience with a CA hair stylist who did an inept job. I was so upset that I flew to New York fix the damage. Rita Harris did a fabulous job on my hair. Rita fixed a previous horrendous dye job. Rita took four hours to repair my hair. I have black hair and I wanted blue highlights. Rita understood the process and first she bleached my hair to the right shade so the blue would show. She then washed my hair then dried the hair and then apply the blue highlights. Then she cut and styled my hair and I am so happy with the finished product. My hair was not in the best condition and she used her expertise to create blue highlights and lovely hairstyle. I just got back, and while I didn't think I got the best cut of my life, I certainly didn't think the back of my hair would look as if my grandson cut it with his kindergarten scissor. Surprise! While I kept showing her the right side was longer and fuller, she kept right on cutting the left side. It was too late by the time the other woman told her to look at it. Can't put hair back on. The Supercuts in Bay Shore Ny is horrible the one in Lindenhurst is great. I have made appointments only to find the stylist I use, Maria, left before my appointment. Other times when I arrived for my appointment I was told I had to wait because other people were ahead of me. The appointment means nothing The worst thing is that my stylist refuses to get a COVID 19 vaccine. That should not be legal for a hands on worker. read more

Checked in online and still waited 45 minutes to an hour to get a damn haircut. They kept taking people ahead of me stating they checked in online, even though that's exactly what I did. The haircut itself was subpar, certainly not the best I've received for a chain. I don't recommend this location... and not this chain. read more

Bad experience silk press detangling my hair wet with small toothed comb ripping my hair out . Who detangles hair with tiny comb should have used wide tooth comb. Or detangle in sink with water and conditioner . read more

This is the result when you ask to go blonde and let you leave the salon looking like this^^^ patchy roots, different shading of blonde (not the good kind) with a hint of green. I went back two days later with my friend (who is a licensed cosmetologist) so we could get my refund... they wouldn't give me a refund, the supervisor (Pam) and manager (Jacquelyn) said they would fix it but also said that my hair looked good? In that case you let every client looking that bad like When I left the salon. My friend countless times had to tell the supervisor that my hair looks horrible but she couldn't even apologize for the monstrosity on my head. I'm sorry but how are you a supervisor if you can't even apologize for the mistakes that happened. She just kept saying that she thought it "looked good" and "wasn't damaged". I SAW THREE HAIRSTYLISTS FROM DIFFERENT SALONS INCLUDING MY FRIEND AND THEY SAY OTHERWISE! Supercuts only admits to their mistakes by saying they don't do refund and that it's an "easy fix". They did "fix" my hair **cough** Don't look at **cough** scalp. (Jacqueline who fixed my hair was sweet at the end and I know she was only doing her job and tried her best to fix my hair) just wish they apologized and owned up for their mistakes. But moral of the story is DONT GO TO SUPERCUTS! read more

Let me start by saying I really do like coming to this location and I don't want to stop. But I might have to rethink that. Nice lady Maria introduced herself and I immediately smelled alcohol on her. I thought maybe I was wrong so I continued to her chair and got a haircut. A few minutes into the cut it was clear she was NOT sober on top of that my hair looks worse then when I came in. I wasn't sure if I wanted to write this but I decided that I should. I feel I should mention one of the stylists was emitting an alcohol scent. She smelt of alcohol making me unwilling to return as a customer or recommend anyone visit the establishment. If I could 0 star this I would. Extremely disappointed. read more

Supercuts reflects the weird vibe that has overtaken Long Island. First off, when I walked in, they were very busy and I wasn't even asked for my name. I'm familiar with the procedure (they take your name and you go on a list). I was asked straight off, "You speak Spanish?" in a very aggressive way. I said no, though I do, but I am not Hispanic. When I said no, the woman said okay and ignored me. I sat for a bit as people were slowly coming in and out and getting their hair cut. There was a biracial or multiracial family in there and the women working were both Hispanic/Latino, One of the workers was so polite and nice to the bi-racial girl and assured her that she could do her hair, how about this or that? Meanwhile I was ignored and I finally said, are you going to take my name or not? She did and I sat and waited. Another Caucasian person came in and they started talking about her in Spanish and me, saying you take that one, I guess I'll take the other. The hair dresser did not talk to me the whole time I sat in the chair, but at this point, I just wanted to leave. I felt very uncomfortable. I'm don't care who cuts my hair but don't do reverse racism to people. FYI, a lot of "White" people speak Spanish like me and choose to play dumb so we can gauge your real feelings. I felt like an outsider in this place so I guess I'll choose not to go there again when in town. Are the owners Hispanic? read more

Firstly I could of did this hair job myself . You pay to get your hair done to look good and boost your confidence. At first I thought it looked decent but the lighting in the salon is way different than outside. When I looked in my car mirror all I saw was brassy yellow ugly unblended blonde. When I came in the next day to speak to a manager I ended up in an argument with thr woman who did my hair . Not one of them apologized or even fixed what was done they offered to try a shampoo to blend it... I am super disappointed this was a place I would frequently get my hair done at and I paid $190 to get half my head bleached like a clownnn. I hope Trish from supercuts understands its not what you want, its what the customer is looking for. I will never go to this salon again. When I walked out a gentleman approached me and said I seen what went on and whenever I get my hair done I ask for everyone else except TRISH.
