I also think the name is very cute. Shipwreck is an Outer Banks staple that has been in business for decades. They have tons of sea shells and driftwood. They also have jewelry, ornaments, home decor and toys all inspired by the Outer Banks. For those looking for hermit crabs, they have those too! The exterior of the building is nicely maintained and upon walking in the store I was totally mesmerized at all of the stuff to look at. They have tons of yard flags and other cute little knock knacks to stick in the garden. They also carry a variety of OBX souvenirs, Christmas ornaments and other knick knacks. I stumbled upon Absolutely Outer Banks a handful of years ago and I was impressed with the selection of locally made arts and crafts. Ever since, this is my go to spot for legitimate and tasteful Outer Banks souvenirs. In addition to locally made items they also have some vintage items and even some new items for sale. One item that this store specializes in is really cool resin windows that are unique and exude happiness. Absolutely Outer Banks has artwork in all mediums and in all price points. They have jewelry, wood signs, candles, prints, glass work, textiles, metal work, etc.  On my most recent visit I enjoyed looking at a vintage pin ball machine and eyeing up the beautiful array of Fiestaware. There is plenty of opportunity for ooohhhing and ahhhing.  The owner is super friendly so that adds to the overall great experience. I had purchased swim trunks for my son at the duck location. While trying them on, a grommet fell…read moreout, exposing the fabric to tears. I had already removed the tags. I called the nags head location to ask if they would take them back. The manager, Jake, explained that he would have to see them. That is just fine, so I brought them to him with all the tags and the receipt then when we grab another pair to exchange them with, the Grommet on the new pair was cracked. Jake handled it like a pro and gave us the benefit of the doubt and let us return the shorts so, I ended up spending $200 more, because he was so gracious to us. Jake was a professional and I appreciate it. He does a good job. He should be commended.
