Really cheap. And the quality is decent. I bought flip flops for $2 and they lasted the whole weekend. Got some teeshirts too.

Very nice service and helpful. Super cheap and really good quality shirts and sweatshirts. A variety of designs! Definitely recommend it.

I love this place! The new location, just in front of the old location, is so sweet! Missy, the…read moreowner, is wonderful and always so helpful in a non-annoying selling you things way. There is always a huge selection of new and used boards and extra goodies for the beach!

The Pit has now become a long-time fixture in Kill Devil Hills. I remember when it opened. In the…read morebeginning it was just a club that would let kids under 21 so they had somewhere to go listen to bands, play games, and hang out. Then they expanded to the surf shop and built a separate building. Now they have Boardriders Grill. In the main building you'll find the "hang out" part. Downstairs on the ground floor is a stage and venue for bands and parties. On the main floor, there's a dining area and small bar. On the top floor there's some video games, pool, and chairs to chill in. Sunday is Euronight with electro/house music spinning and Thursday is Mug Night. At The Pit out back the surf shop keeps expanding so I can't even keep track of all that's offered. I will tell you that they keep up to date with all the rad stuff locals and surfers need to keep up with the island image and life. They offer board rentals, surf lessons, lots of cool stuff. One thing that's really cool is that they're home to "Skim City" which is a sick skimboarding brand. My brother used to be sponsored by them and my family was never short on encounteres with the Skim Crew! A boardsport lifestyle comes as naturally as going barefoot on the beach and The Pit acknowledges that. The Boardriders Grill has come a long way to have a following of its own. $1 tacos from 4 to 6pm and all day on Tuesdays always draw a crowd! I don't know how else to describe it but how they do -- a surf-inspired menu. My Mom loves their fish tacos and my friends and I can barely handle their burritos! Spice and gargantuan size with fresh fixin's. I love that you can eat inside or out on the front deck and the service is friendly and fast. You never know you'll run into at The Pit. Steve Pauls and Ben Sproul have done a pretty good job at keeping it up for locals and visitors alike though. Stop in and hang out...you'll have a good time.

These people are amazing. My son dropped his ring under the skincare display and they took the time…read moreto help him get it out. The worker, Jessica, took the time to get different tools to help coax it out from under there, then the manager Candy helped and we finally got it out but they didn't have to do that and it was so kind, my kids will forever remember that and be grateful. The cashier/ manager I believe (another manager) ; Josh was so kind and considerate it was a great experience. You should definitely chose this location for an amazing crew of people, neat store and wonderful selections! I would so work here if I were closer they are awesome. A all around great team of people

The customer is NOT ALWAYS RIGHT at this location in Nags Head, NC. Before I brought in my return I…read morelooked up the return policy online to make sure I followed the rules but when I arrived at the store I was told something very different than TJ Max policy. I didn't have my receipt and according to policy I would get store credit however this store said I also had to provide the sales tags. Who saves sale tags?! When I asked to go find the same shoes they told me that wouldn't matter either because they wouldn't have the same numbers. YES THEY WOULD! SKU numbers stay the same on the same items! I had to ask the girl behind the register to move her hair so I could see her name. When I asked Hannah B. if they could look up the purchase on my credit card history they also told me they couldn't do that. Oh, but they can. They just didn't want to help me! The manager finally made the girl go look for my items. She came back with one of them and offered no assistance on the other. Hannah spelled my name wrong on the store credit. Never said thank you and made me wait for her to restock her hangers before offering to help me. Not too classy. I had to call corporate to take care of my return. Thankfully they know how to treat a customer.

Bottom Line: Trendy, typical beach souvenirs sold in a cramped store by indifferent staff…read more I have not been a huge fan of Farmer's Daughter in the past but I thought I would give it a whirl again this year. The store is mainly packed full of trendy and typical beach souvenirs and clothing but there are some exceptions. I put the stacks of Salt Life, Fish Hippie and Simply Southern tshirts in the trendy/typical category. Some of the nicer items that caught my item were Yeti containers, Southern Tide menswear and Cobian flip flops. In the past I have been a big fan of Farmer's Daughters jewelry but that wasn't very shoppable this time around as it was hard to get to the cases. With the challenges that COVID-19 have created for small businesses I tried to give them a fair shake while vacationing in the Outer Banks for a few weeks but Farmer's Daughter left me disappointed. The store was just as cramped as ever with merchandise spilling over into the aisles. And the employees were less than welcoming. One employee pushed past me, literally, to get back to her restocking task at the jewelry counter. And the employee who rang me up only said four words - "twenty-seven seventy-four."

This is one of me and my group's favorite shop. They have the cutest stuff. The items in the shop…read moredon't feel cheap. The girls working there are constantly working hard to keep everything clean and nice looking. I even got a free shirt for spending a certain amount. You have to stop here!
