    Torta Cubana and Horchata
    Tiffany T.

Really solid Torta Cubanas here. The Milanesa is amazing! Crispy, not too oily, and a great flavor. The torta is packed with tomatoes, raw onion, pickled jalapeños, milanesa, ham, egg, hot dogs and excellent melty cheese. They do have ketchup or mustard on the table if you want to add that to your sandwich. I think it would have been a perfect sandwich if there was mayo in it because the only con was that it was a bit dry. I was only able to finish half since it was a huge torta and saved the rest for later. There's only one cook here so that's how you know it's a good spot. Also ordered an horchata, which I thought was just alright. My friend and I will definitely be returning.

I love tortas and this torta is HUGE!! Service is awesome. Mother-son duo are kind. English & Spanish speaking. I'm not a fan of spicy but definitely love to try food in their original form. Staff was kind to put the jalapeños on the side. Cubaña torta us to die for! Deliciousness!! Small indoor seating but enough room to be able to sit with me and my friend. Definitely encourage to call in your order for pick up during lunch time as it is a hot spot for lunch.

Been wanting to try this little place for some time now and we are extremely glad we did!!! The owner Monica and her son greeted us as we walked in and helped us. They cooked up our sandwiches fresh as we waited, and well worth the wait. the sandwhich we chose was the Cubana Torta and it was huge and packed with fresh ingredients we were very pleased. Lodi's Secret Gem! This place is addicting as I've been 4 times in last week!Tried the Torta Cubana, really good. This place is a hole in the wall but serves great food. Wide variety of tortas to choose from.Fast service and inexpensive for portions. Just wish they gave out small packets/cups of salsa. Only jalapeños. Kinda weird. But still a great place!

This tortas are the best. The owner fries the milanesa to order, the tortas are huge, 2 people can eat one, but they are so delicious that I wouldn't share . The customer service is also amazing. Las tortas están riquísimas, las milanesa las fríen al ordenar, la dueña es muy servicial. Vale la pena comer ahí, están enormes que se pudieran compartir, pero están tan ricas que es mejor no compartir .

This place is a real hole in the wall. It's bright colors draw you in and is meant to stimulate your appetite. The eating area was really small, but there was bar seating, for maybe 10, that wrapped around the back wall while the front of the room was a small kitchen and right next to it the register. The drinks were yummy. I tired the Aguas Frescas (I'm sorry if I butchered that spelling ) in watermelon and of course horchata! The food was great! Super filling and hard to move after, but delicious. I tried the Sopas and the famous Cubana torta. Sooo good! Food preparation and portions are authentic, or so I've read. Ordering is quite difficult since the menu is in Spanish and there aren't really pictures to reference much more a description of each item. There was one man that spoke English fluently and he helped me out. Everyone is really nice though and will definitely try to assist, but if in doubt, go Cubana!!

I got mine with no cheese and a side of onions, and it was every bit as good as I remembered. One thing that was a little odd was that my friend's plate came with chips and veggies while mine only came with the sandwich and veggies. I'm not sure if there was a difference in how the orders were entered, but it definitely caught my attention. That said, those chips were absolutely delicious. We liked them so much that we packed up the leftovers and took them with us while we walked over to the visitor center afterward. That's always a good sign when you're making sure not a single chip goes to waste. We've been here quite a few times over the years, and one thing that keeps us coming back is the consistency. The food is always excellent, and even on busier days they seem to keep things moving. During this visit the restaurant was fairly crowded, but we were still served promptly and never felt forgotten. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Maison. It feels relaxed without being overly casual and always makes for a nice lunch stop when we're in Lodi. Helpful tip: If the chips come with your meal, don't leave them behind. They're surprisingly addictive and worth taking home if you can't finish them. Between the great food, friendly service, and reliable consistency, Maison continues to be one of our favorite places to stop whenever we're spending the day in Lodi.

Quaint, charming and with top quality product this is well worth a stop. Of course prices are on the high side, but the value is certainly there. They have a number of other food choices too- sandwiches, salads, etc. Other products including cookbooks by Charlie Palmer are also sold. The room is large, comfortable and the ambiance is rustic country. I got two Butter Croissants and two Jalapeño Cheddar Scones for me and the husband. Both were excellent, delicious, and quite large. The jalapeño is strong so be certain you like it as it is my particular preference. The service was very helpful and efficient. This place is very professional in every regard and well worth a stop.

First, I don't come to Lodi that much, only if I have business to take care of and in this case it was at every drivers' favorite place--DMV. After completing I was seriously hungry and while I was waiting for my number to get called, I started looking for a place for a good sandwich and ran up on this place. I never heard of West Coast Sourdough, I have been to the Sourdough Company in Stockton once and I enjoyed it!!! So going back to this place I read a review from a couple who came here and the husband was just raving about his bbq brisket sandwich. I had to try because anybody who knows me knows I love brisket. Well, my experience was totally different from his. I am glad I opted for the salad as my side instead of potato chips!!!! The salad was just lettuce & tomato with ranch dressing but it was good and fresh. The sandwich was dry, no condiments at all, she did ask me if I wanted lettuce but for some reason I thought it would have tomatoes on it. Nothing! My first bite was a piece of fat and I like brisket but not the fat. That had to be the worst sandwich I have ever had!!!! The sandwich combo & drink was almost $20.00. When I walked in I admired how neat & clean it was. I was the only one in there until she brought my sandwich then four more people came in. It was a very nice, hot day but too hot to sit outside and it was getting too warm inside, no air coming from the vents. I hurried along because I didn't want to break out in a sweat. I tried putting a little salt & pepper on my sandwich thinking that would help it--no!!!!! They don't have to worry about me coming back! If I am over in the new part of Lodi again I will try Nations.

Not very exciting for non-meat eaters, but if done right the Sammies are decent. No frills sure, and a kinda not great app. Calling might be better in future, but I haven't tried it. Stay away from the "avocado spread." It's a weird guacamole spread that hasn't been avocado in a long time. It tastes sour. Blech. Provolone cheese is good, but the cheddar tastes artificial. Other produce is fresh and the bread is good. In a town where a lot of the sandwich shops go with bakery bread, the ones who don't stand out. And that's fine. Jimmy's bread is okay. They have an option to scoop out part of the bread. Or you can go breadless. The crunchy onions are a fun, weird addition. Many things named for Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal here. Jimmy chips are yummy. I like the bbq and vinegar Jimmy chips best. Jimmy peppers are medium spicy. They will also give you an entire big dill if you ask. You are a big dill. You deserve it. I like to see a quality pickle. Usually we do take out lunch here, and it's a gamble that the order will be correct. Still, sometimes I crave a Jimmy sub what can I say. With some improvements like fresh avo, vegan protein, attention to detail with fulfilling orders etc etc I would be by more often. Can't speak much to the ambiance, though this may be the only dual drive thru I've been thru. Jimmy shares one with the bank next door.
